“I’ve used rover for many years but Hugh & Mary were the best dog sitters I’ve ever had. They are fun loving people who genuinely care about your dog and that you are at ease while they are watching them. They have a great yard and will cuddle your dogs and play ball with them or whatever else they like! I got regular updates and upon pickup got a little gift from them. I will rebook if I’m ever in their area again (I was traveling and close by for a music festival). They are TOP NOTCH, probably the best couple on Rover!”

“Edith was fantastic!! We left our 16 year old dog with her for a week and were super nervous because we were hundreds of miles away, but Edith gave us so much peace of mind and constantly sent us updates with pictures and videos! Our little dog looked so content and spoiled! I would highly recommend trusting your pets with Edith! Thank you so much!”

“Marinee and her family took fantastic care of our two pups! We were grateful to receive photos and updates while we were so far away. Our dogs came back happy and tired from their adventures. I would not hesitate to book again and would highly recommend. Thank you again!”

“I couldn't have asked for a better sitter for my terrier, Laidy. She has severe separation anxiety and becomes very depressed when she's away from me, so leaving her for a week was something I was really worried about. From the moment Laidy arrived, it was clear she was in caring and capable hands. Savannah was incredibly diligent, observant, and compassionate. She paid close attention to Laidy's needs, made sure she got plenty of walks, and did an amazing job helping manage her anxiety. Most importantly, she gave Laidy so much love and attention that she truly felt at home. The updates and care she provided gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I'm beyond grateful for the kindness and dedication Savannah showed my dog. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet like family.”

“I took the pups to visit a week before their stay and that was a great idea.Lacey had because when I took them back to stay for my vacation, they acted super comfortable Lacey sent me pictures which was super cool, because that made me feel comfortable. Definitely will use Lacey again for pup sitting ??❤️”

“Heather was awesome! My dog looked very happy the moment he arrived and when get got back he was tired from all the attention and activities he got to do! It was a safe and healthy environment that I would definitely recommend!”

About: I can’t imagine living a life without being a dog mom. I’ve had dogs since my childhood and practically my entire adult life. I’ve had heartbreak from losing them because they were so loved. I’m retired and home mostly except for when I travel. I’m available to walk dogs and to play with them in fenced yard. I have a soft spot for all animals. My dog Holly is mostly an inside dog but always has access to fenced backyard through doggie door. The same would apply for any dogs I care for.
“Melanie took fantastic care of Bella! She sent updates with pictures and videos. I could see Bella spent quality time with Melanie and her kids and Bella being comfortable with them. Bella came home happy and tired! Highly recommend Melaine!”

“Melissa was the absolute best. She took the best care of Kevin and went above and beyond to help me with logistics. Certainly our best experience on Rover so far. Thank you!”

“Nueva was a lovely sitter for Johnny. He really enjoyed his stay with her. She updated us throughout the week with texts and pictures, so we could enjoy our vacation knowing that our little dog was having a good time. Would highly recommend, and we will definitely use Nueva again if we travel without our dog.”

“Louella is an absolute dream of a dog sitter. She is so kind, sweet, gentle and friendly. She’s also responsible and has excellent communication skills. Her house and yard are beautiful and dog friendly. She took pictures of Bek and gave me updates (he always looked super happy and relaxed) which was great. I also felt like I could relax and be completely present on my vacation, which is a rare feeling when you have someone else looking after your pup. Can’t speak highly enough!”

“Judith was amazing. She was very good at communicating and sent me lots of pictures of my dog (even though my dog is camera shy). She was really flexible and worked with me when my schedule changed a bit. I will be picking to send Vexy to her house next time we need a Rover.”

“We were very fortunate to have Karyn take care so well of Java. She is only 14 months old and still growing up and learning. This was the first time Java was away from us. When we picked her up she was very happy and relaxed, which immediately showed us that she had a great time and was well taken care of. Thank you Karyn for going the extra mile for our baby!”

“Jayne and Gary took excellent day care of BoBo. He was always excited to be with them, and came home happy. They kept me updated with pics and were flexible with pick up time when I had to work extended hours.”

“Emily was so helpful during the time I was gone. She was very efficient to being on time and getting everything done for my cat while I was gone on vacation. I didnt even have to reach out to remind her of anything she was on top of everything which made it comforting while gone. Thank you so much!”

About: There have been so many cats in my care over the last 35 years. Recently, have specialized in felines needing specialty and medical attention. Cats are captivating and a joy to bond with.

“Nicole was great! Our cat had a great rapport with her and seemed to eat better than usual when we were gone. Getting the daily reports and pictures was reassuring, too. Next time we're gone, we'll book Nicole again.”

As a devoted cat parent myself, I understand their unique needs and quirks. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll make sure your kitty friend feels safe, comfortable, and loved!

“April and her boy were simply amazing. Took such great care of my girl, Majora. She's an easy going cat, but they made sure she was taken care of just as if I had been there. I would be more than happy to have April over again later this year when I'm out of town.”

About: Hi! I'm Aileen, a 20-year-old who's always had a special place in my heart for all animals. Growing up, I was the go to pet sitter in my neighborhood, and I've spent many hours caring for and bonding with both. I've volunteered at animal shelters, where I helped with feeding, socializing, and walking the dogs, and I've fostered a few kittens, too. I don’t have any cats of my own simply because id feel bad leaving them home while i work/go to school, but i feed the strays outside my house daily. I'd like to think that i'm a calm and gentle person, friendly but a little reserved, so I tend to connect really well with animals. I truly believe every animal deserves love, patience, and a safe space, and I love being part of that care.
About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 13. I’ve volunteered at no kill shelters and kennels for 5 years. I currently have two fur babies now (both rescues) and my mother always had about 8 in her home. I’ve taken care of dogs from tea cup to Great Danes. I also have cared for dogs with diabetes, who were blind, and have cerebral palsy. I work full time (Mon -Fri) in the lower dessert, live in JT. I’m home around 4/4:30pm each day. Of course your baby will be the first one that I see once I’m off of work and before I go into work. As a dedicated pet caregiver, I prioritize each animal's well-being and comfort while following your specific instructions. I ensure they receive regular feeding, fresh water, and ample exercise through walks or playtime. I’m attentive to their unique needs, whether it’s administering medication, maintaining a routine, or simply providing companionship. I also keep their environment clean and safe, giving you peace of mind while you’re away. Your pets are not just animals; they’re family, and I’ll treat them with the love and care they deserve!

About: I’ve had cats around a lot of my life but never my own until I was living on my own. My best friend who was a Vet Technician at the time called me frantic about a kitten whose family chose to put her down rather than take care of the leg their son broke. I rushed over immediately and cared for her myself. My temperamental Siamese. Flash forward to someone bringing me a stray tabby kitten and now I’m a mother of two crazy kitties! Trust me. I know how crazy it can get.

“First time Rover user that was initially very hesitant regarding the idea of having a 'stranger' watch my pup but front initial conversation, greet and meet, day of, and post service, Elizabeth was amazing to work with and made the entire process extremely easy and smooth as she puts her clients' needs first. As I was traveling to the area with an unknown schedule, Elizabeth was super flexible in scheduling, and extremely accommodating where she was willing to watch my pup at a different location than initially scheduled- was a HUGE blessing as my puppy is extremely sensitive to change and has a very high level of anxiety. Elizabeth sent a ton of photos and videos all day (I asked her to not hold back as it provides relief knowing my pup is doing well) which was greatly appreciated. Elizabeth is professional, understanding, accommodating, and truly has a heart for animals. Highly recommended!”

About: I have worked in animal care since I was a child and have always had a passion for dogs! I have my own dog as well, so I know how stressful it can be to make sure your dog is taken care of. I currently work as a health rep for a veterinary company! I am very flexible and willing to do whatever is needed!! Luckily my job gives me flexibility so I am able to work around other schedules! I am very protective of my own dog, and I tend to care for other animals the way I care for her because I know that’s how i’d want her to be treated!

“Janeece is amazing. She took great care of Pringle and kept me updated with regular pictures, which I appreciated. It was clear how much she genuinely cared, making sure Pringle was happy, comfortable, and well-loved the entire time. Knowing Pringle was in such great hands gave me so much peace of mind. I highly recommend Janeece to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and attentive pet sitter. I’ll definitely be booking with her again.”

“Hugh & Mary took such great care of our pup! He had other dogs to play with, plenty of toys & space to run around, and they were kind enough to send us multiple updates & photos throughout the day. Highly recommend!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I highly recommend Savannah! She took great care of my Yorkie and treated him like he was her own. She was reliable, caring, and made sure he was comfortable and happy while I was away. About: About Me: Animals are my life’s work. My background is unique: I spent 20 years as a commercial airline pilot, a career built on extreme reliability, safety protocols, and being dependable under pressure. I bring that same disciplined "cool head" to pet sitting. Whether I’m managing a pack on a mountain trail, caring for a senior dog, or tending to a barn, your animals’ safety and your peace of mind are my priorities.R Rehab, Healing & Holistic Expertise: For over 15 years, I have specialized in rehabbing dogs with behavioral challenges. My approach is a blend of structured positive reinforcement and intuitive energy work: Behavioral Rehab: I have extensive experience with "difficult" cases, rescues, and high-needs temperaments. Energy Work & Reiki: I am trained in Animal Reiki and Emotion Code. This allows me to help animals release trapped emotions and settle into a calm, balanced state—perfect for anxious travelers or rescues with a traumatic past. All Species, All Breeds – No Discrimination I welcome all animals regardless of breed, size, or status. I am comfortable with "power breeds," giant breeds, and intact dogs, provided they are social and well-mannered and trained. The "Adventure" Standard: For my canine guests, we go on at least one long hike or intensive walk daily, often including outings to the lake and local trails. Farm & Livestock Care: Having run a farm animal rescue, I am experienced with horses, goats, sheep, cows, pigs, and poultry. I am happy to provide farm-sitting services for those who need a caregiver who truly understands livestock. Why My Experience Matters From the cockpit to the farm, I’ve spent my life being the person people count on. Whether your animal needs a high-energy mountain guide, a calm healing presence, or a knowledgeable farm hand, I have the experience and the heart to provide it. Feel free to ask me for a multi-animal discount! I am home full time dedicating my life to my animals. We typically head out for our long walk or hike in the morning after which everyone is having their meal. The exercise in the morning ensures a calm and happy pack for the rest of the day. My property is fully fenced in and dividable into three sections: Front yard, porch and backyard. The animals are my priority and are typically never left alone.

“Moriah was able to take Marlow with short notice during our family crisis. She sent pictures and a video of Marlow having a great time, one less thing for me to worry about. Marlow had a great time running around the yard or resting inside out of he heat. Moriah was very flexible with my husband dropping her off and me picking her up. I would definately book with her again.”

“Melanie and her family were very welcoming and kind to our two pups. Their dogs got along great with ours. The communication and updates throughout their stay were also very appreciated!”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life. I grew up on a farm and we had a wide range of animals. Dogs have always had a special place in my heart and are my happy place when I’m down. I have experience with every size dog and am comfortable with puppies and senior dogs. I have experience with administering medications and shots. I have a crate if needed, a puppy play pen from when my babies were little, and plenty of pee pads in case of accidents. Plus a big comfy bed to cuddle in.

“Johna made our trip to Joshua Tree so much fun!! It was awesome to be able to go hiking while knowing our two dogs were well taken care of. She is such a kind and caring person, and showed our dogs so much love. She figured out exactly what they liked, and ended up giving our puppy her favorite toy at the end of our trip. I can’t recommend her enough!!!”

“Our Ivy is a very skiddish, submissive rescue that we adopted 6 months ago. We scheduled Ivy's first daycare appt for today with Gary and Jayne. As always, I get a bit nervous when leaving her. But, I had faith in Gary and Jayne after our "meet and greet" that their ability and experience with submissive dogs is the kind of daycare experience my dog needed. Everything went great and we plan to schedule appts with them in Oct and Nov.”

I am comfortable to administer medication if needed, as I have cared for many senior foster and my own pets.

Do you work nights and hate leaving your babies alone? Are you going to a fancy dinner and want to make sure your pets are okay when you're gone? I can come by and give you some peace of mind. I can also care for other pets, including lizards, fish, hamsters, rabbits, etc. I am a huge animal lover. I adopted a senior dog years ago and he was the best dog ever, up until his very last day in December, 2023. Our household has water snails, fish, three cats, a dog, and a pig! I have experience with rabbits and hamsters and other small pets, and I have experience with special needs animals. My longest boarding to date was 5 months for a senior cat with Cerebellar hypoplasia. My schedule recently changed, so I am available on most days for drop-ins and walks. I also offer boarding, house sitting, and daycare. We are a very animal friendly household. I have a fenced yard and a kiddie pool so your doggos can play and keep cool! My piggy will be there to keep your baby company and I have a 14 year old kid who loves to snuggle and play with all your pets! Cats will enjoy their own space so they can feel comfortable ☺️ !!!Important Notes!!!: I love watching and caring for your snuggle bug(s)! However, I have to sleep too. If you can't pick up your pet before 7pm, one additional day of boarding or doggy daycare will be added to your booking. An additional fee will be added for dogs over 40 pounds. Dogs under 1 year and/or "bully breeds" will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. By booking with me, you acknowledge that if your puppo damages property, you are responsible for any cost of repairs or replacement. When damage occurs, it is usually caused by pets that do not crate or have high anxiety when left alone for even short periods. My policy on dog breeds and sizes is in place because of two separate incidents. First, I lost a beloved pet to a boarded Rover doggo on Christmas morning, 2020. Having to put my little pig Minnie in the freezer after being attacked on Christmas morning was a horribly traumatic experience. In June 2023 I was attacked by a 110lb Rover dog at a meet and greet and had to go to the hospital. If the owner had not been present, I would have been killed. These are incidents that I will not risk repeating. Thank you so much for understanding!

“Caesar is so knowledgeable and patient with my Mastiff and Boston terrier. My mastiff is not typically comfortable with men and Caesar has been working with him, taking him on walks and after a couple of visits their total pals! Caesar knows a lot about dog psychology and has helped me a lot with how I work with my dogs. I highly recommend using Caesar for all of your pet sitting services.”

“Judith was amazing. She was very good at communicating and sent me lots of pictures of my dog (even though my dog is camera shy). She was really flexible and worked with me when my schedule changed a bit. I will be picking to send Vexy to her house next time we need a Rover.”

“Samantha was so lovely and responsive, with much dog expertise! She made sure Oswald felt right at home and I would highly recommend her for anyone needing to board their dog! Thanks Samantha!”

“Larry took great care of our pet. This is my first time using a sitter instead of boarding and she was much happier and received his undivided attention. Lots of photos and great communication.”

“Ceasar is a rare find. A boarder and a trainer in one; it doesn't get better than that! My Australian shepherds were in great hands and I will use him again. 10/10 recommend.”

“The pictures Rachel B sent to Maria showed our Gracie frolicking and happy to be there. We appreciate the care Rachel demonstrated in keeping Gracie occupied while we were gone for 8 days. We will definitely ask Rachel to care for Gracie in the future.”

“Darryl & Janice went above and beyond, truly exceeded expectations! This was our first time ever leaving our dogs with someone and our first time using Rover. They took the time to explain to us how it worked, reassured us with our concerns, they were patient and understanding! But the cherry on top that made this experience AMAZING was the report cards, certificates and bow ties they gave Zeus and Boo! They made this experience feel like they were staying at grandma and grandpas house and were spoiled! Thank you for your kindness and caring for our babies we will absolutely be returning!”

“Shane is an amazing pet sitter! He took excellent care of Lucky, my dog. He had great communication and always went above and beyond to ensure Lucky’s well-being. Lucky had a fantastic time staying at Shane’s place! Thank you once again for taking such good care of Lucky! I highly recommend Shane if you need to board your pets.”
