“Amazing sitter, Breanna was so attentive and great with Dewey! She is very responsive and clearly loves animals, I would definitely book her again! She has a way with pets”
“We have never used a service such as Rover before, so when we got a puppy, we would a pet sitter from time to time. Denelle & Fred were fantastic! As we were not entirely sure about the service, they allowed us to meet prior to the pet sitting and let us have a good warm and fuzzy regarding letting them pet sit our dog Maisie. Drop off and pick up were easy and our puppy Maisie was well looked after! They are very nice people and have a great setup for watching dogs and we will hopefully use them again.”

“Veronica was a gem to work with. She was very sweet and gentle with my dog. She communicated quickly and clearly and I had no issues whatsoever with her. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Alondra watched my dog while I was out of town for a extended weekend. I was sent photos and videos of her everyday. I felt completely comfortable the whole time I was away; I knew that Abbie was well taken care of and safe. I would recommend having her sit your dog, I plan on using her again when I need a sitter.”

“Can not recommend Randi enough! Her place is an immaculate dog heaven. She gave our dog TLC above and beyond after he required some special care. Lots of wonderfully nurturing touches. We definitely will use Randi for all our pet sitting needs going forward.”

“I’ve never had my dogs literally excited once they realized they were being dropped off at a dog sitter before. This is my second time using Sara and when I was standing at her front door to drop them off, my elderly dog was scratching at the door to be let in! Both dogs immediately acted like she was family. Highly recommend”

“Glee was a great host! We could tell she just wanted to make sure Charlie was good while we were away. Our baby came back bathed, happy, and with a treat. Thanks again, Glee 🙂”

“Brandy and Emma had SO much fun at this dog palace!! We got lots of photos during the 4-5 days they stayed there. We could tell they were so happy there just by looking at the photos. June immediately made me feel comfortable, and I trusted that Mew would be in great hands with her. On our meet and greet, June came prepared with treats so she could connect and bond with him. She was great with Mew, like he was her own cat. She kept me posted by sending various pictures, videos, and updates, which made me feel better about leaving him. I could see he was happy and comfortable with June. I will definitely be working with June in the future! Thank you, June!”

About: Hello! 😊 I’ve cared for cats throughout my life and currently have a cat of my own, Binx! About: I was gifted my first dog on Christmas when I was 4 years old and learned to care and love him all his life. I’ll always remember my dog Chocolate as the best Christmas ever that also was the best gift I’ve ever received. He taught me to appreciate and love animals and to care for them accordingly. I cared for a family members pregnant dog and helped her give birth to her 6 puppies and care for them for the diary 3 weeks of there lives. It was truly an experience that I learned a lot from and made me a better care giver. Pet care and having routines are very important as a caregiver. I understand that it is my responsibility to care for the pets and to me sure I plan accordingly for my schedule to fit this position. Currently I have a lot of availability as a current college grad. I’m looking into pet care because it gives me the opportunity to do what I love, care for pets. I am able to work most weekends and holidays as well as weekdays. I care for pets in my home and in there owners homes by giving them the best of me and my attention. I make sure they are well cared for by feeding, playing with them as well as always having water for them to drink and go on walks if requested.

“Shanna is great. She has been patient and collaborative in planning for my Roxie's care. We had a meet and greet, then a short daycare stay, then a full day of daycare. She is well versed in dog behavior. My dog, coincidentally a "pitbull type" is often categorized and judged as "vicious or aggressive" even before people meet her. I've had dog sitters on Rover decline to provide services simply because of her breed or her appearance. Shanna understands that Roxie is a dog: a dog with her own level of prey drive (so Roxie is not allowed in her daughter's room cause of the hamster she has); a dog with some anxiety who barked at her husband when he came into the house. They didn't freak out. Shanna understood Roxie's behavior and worked through it, allowing Roxie to get to know her husband, settle and move on. I truly appreciate her family's openness and acceptance. We have two more full days of daycare booked and if all continues well, we will book boarding services. Roxie is people and dog friendly, but the discrimination we have experienced on Rover, leads me to take things in a new daycare/boarding situation slowly. Shanna has been very reassuring and understanding. throughout the process. I HIGHLY recommend her.”

About: I’m a dedicated 21 year old dog lover who currently cares for two rescued female puppies. They are friendly and fixed :) Raising young shelter dogs has given me hands-on experience with puppy routines, socialization, basic training, exercise, and lots of patience. I understand the importance of consistency, positive reinforcement, and creating a safe, comfortable environment for pets. Growing up, I also owned a Chihuahua and spent time dog walking for others ever since I was a kid, which helped me learn how to work with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’m comfortable with active puppies, shy dogs, and dogs that need extra attention and reassurance. What sets me apart is that I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your dog needs playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply a caring companion while you're away, I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I currently work part-time as a delivery driver, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to stay close to home throughout the day. Because of that, I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. I care for my own two young dogs every day, so pet care is already a major part of my routine. When I'm not working, I spend time walking, training, playing with, and caring for them. My flexible schedule allows me to adjust my day around the needs of the pets in my care and make sure they receive the attention, supervision, and affection they deserve. Safety is my top priority when caring for pets. In my home, dogs have access to a large, securely fenced yard where they can play, exercise, and explore safely under supervision. I also have a large crate available for dogs who are crate-trained or need a quiet place to relax. If a dog needs their own space, I can separate them using a dog gate and provide a comfortable area in my home where they can rest safely. I always monitor interactions between pets and make sure each dog is comfortable and stress-free. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions. I believe consistency helps pets feel secure and comfortable while their owners are away. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and caring environment where every pet feels at home.
“Karla Michelle took wonderful care of my dog Rhonda! My dog is anxious around new people but she was safe and cared for when she stayed with Karla. Karla sent me updates and photos, and Rhonda felt comfortable around her dogs who are calm and friendly. I would definitely rebook in the future with Karla Michelle!”

“Haley was a very thoughtful, flexible sitter for Jethro. He can be a handful at times, but she was great at understanding his (and our) needs while we were out of town. She is trustworthy and goes the extra mile to make sure your dog is comfortable, and updated throughout the day without needing to be asked. I’d recommend her if you are looking for someone to trust with the security of your home, and safety and happiness of your animals.”

“This was first time leaving my dog. I was a little nervous since we were in town for my husbands work so I was not familiar with the area, people or just leaving him. Nalani did a great job making it comfortable for me. I took my dog to her two days and it was such a great experience. He did well and Nalani gave him lots of attention. Thank you so much for taking care of my fur baby while we were in town. I highly recommend her.”

“Jill and Liz are amazing as always, super down to earth, experienced, knowledgeable and friendly. Duke always has a good time and he is well taken care of. Their home is a doggy paradise and my Duke feels right at home. Thanks Jill and Liz”

About: Tucked away in the mountains, my off-grid home is more than just a boarding space—it’s a peaceful, nurturing retreat where both dogs and cats can feel safe, understood, and truly at home. I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by animals, and caring for them is second nature to me. Maybe it’s the Leo in me, but I’ve always been drawn to the independent, curious nature of cats, just as much as the loyalty and energy of dogs. I take the time to get to know each animal individually—their quirks, their comforts, and their communication style—because no two are the same. Whether they need adventure, structure, play, or just a quiet place to rest, I tailor their stay to what suits them best. My own pack includes two amazing dogs, both of whom I’ve raised since they were pups—an Australian Kelpie who thrives on activity and focus, and a Husky/Malamute mix who loves adventure just as much as I do. I also have two incredibly special cats, Face and Lilith. Face, my shadow and best friend, was once a wary barn cat who took 1.5 years to trust me. Now, he hikes with me and my dogs, showing an adaptability I’ve never seen in another cat. Lilith, my Hemingway cat, appeared as a tiny, helpless kitten in the woods and has since grown into a thriving, playful companion. Recently, I also took on the challenge of caring for and finding homes for 21 puppies all at once—an experience that reinforced my deep commitment to the well-being of every animal that comes into my care. For dogs, my home offers the perfect mix of adventure and comfort, with plenty of space to roam, explore, and play. For cats, I provide a dedicated, dog-free space downstairs, designed just for them, complete with padded, cloth-covered shelves, sunlit lounging spots, and plenty of enrichment to keep them engaged. Cats are never let outside unless specifically requested by their owner, ensuring their safety. Whether you have a dog who thrives on companionship and outdoor adventure or a cat who craves quiet comfort and personalized care, my home is a place where they will be loved, understood, and cared for like family. I do have a large fenced back yard which is behind expanded currently. Pet care isn’t just something I do—it’s fully integrated into my daily life. Living off-grid and working from home means I don’t have a traditional 9-to-5 schedule, so my time revolves around the animals in my care. From the moment I wake up, I’m tending to their needs—letting dogs out to stretch their legs in the fresh mountain air, preparing meals tailored to each pet, and making sure everyone feels comfortable and at ease. Throughout the day, I engage with them in ways that suit their personalities—whether it’s a long hike through the woods for high-energy dogs, quiet companionship for more relaxed pets, or interactive play for curious cats. Because I’m always home, no animal is ever left alone for long. I have the flexibility to adapt to their needs in real-time, whether it’s providing extra comfort for a nervous newcomer or giving an active pup the extra exercise they crave. At night, every pet settles in safely, knowing they are in a warm, loving environment. Caring for animals isn’t a job I clock in and out of—it’s simply my way of life. Exercise and outdoor time are a big part of my daily routine. I take my dog for runs or walks multiple times a day, exploring the beautiful mountain trails and giving them the movement they need. If your dog enjoys exercise and adventure, I’d be happy to include them in these outings, ensuring they get plenty of physical activity and enrichment. Whether they prefer a leisurely stroll or a high-energy run, I tailor the experience to match their needs and comfort level. If your pet has special needs—such as medication, a specific feeding routine, or any other care requirements—I’m happy to integrate that into my daily schedule. Every animal is different, and I make sure to accommodate their unique needs so they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for during their stay.
About: I am a Fear Free certified veterinary technician of 13 years who grew up in the show dog world (AKC) before getting into rescue as an adult. Throughout my long-lived animal career I have participated in puppy/kitten/basic obedience training, behavioral rehabilitation, dog sport training, senior care, care for animals with extreme medical needs, and owned/operated a group play doggie daycare. My jobs, hobbies, and passions are all centered around animals and I can't wait to bring that passion to you! I am home full-time, and available for puppies and animals with heavy needs. I have a fairly set schedule for all of the pets in my care, and that level of routine provides comfort to even the most nervous of pups. I am the only Fear Free pet carer in Bakersfield! I provide comforting classical music as well as calming pheromones in the sleeping spaces to make their stay as stress-free as possible. I have a fenced yard and never leave dogs together unsupervised. I do not provide an environment suitable for animals with a history of dog aggression. Small dogs I can be more flexible with, as their attitude usually comes from a place of fear and that is something I can work with for the little guys.
“Lauren was an absolutely incredible. Needed a last minute doggy sitter for a few hours while in town and she responded immediately. She took great care of my dog and removed a few stickers he got during our hike. Will definitely use again.”

“Gigi did well with Danelle and Fred. She actually gave Danelle a kiss before we left. For Gigi to do that shows me that Gigi really enjoyed being with Fred and Danelle and Jack and Betty. (Two very cute little doggies)”

“Glenda was wonderful in taking care of our doggies! She’s great, friendly, and provided updates as well! Would not hesitate to have her watch our boys again! Thank you Glenda!”

About: I’ve been working with all kinds of dog breeds and temperaments for 5 years. Having been a training and using my knowledge on how to build solid foundation and structure to have trust, respect and love from the dogs that I have come to meet. I’m available the majority of the week. This gives me opportunity to have the dogs socialize in groups or on walks during the day. I can drop off or pick up at an owners home if I’m able to, but I’m also open to meet people half way if it makes things easier. Depending on the group I may have that day, I like to have them all in a play group. After I enjoy taking them on walks around the neighborhood or depending giving field trips to the park since I live close by. In the afternoon they get a nap time, usually if they get lunch I wait for them to rest before they revive their food. When nap time is over they return outside, back into play groups. Then the process repeats where they get another nap time, play time and then dinner if they receive one. I am also available to work around a specific routine or schedule may have for their own dog. My goal at the end of the day is for the dogs to receive good exercise, enriching social time and enjoy their rest period. A tired dog is a happy dog. Understanding that each dog is different and not all dogs have the same energy level, I try and give each dog the right amount attention they deserve to make them feel fulfilled and happy.

About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life. Growing up, my parents bred small litters of dogs, so I was hands-on from the very beginning—assisting with feeding, socialization, early training, and daily care. Our dogs were true members of the family, and that experience taught me the patience, responsibility, and deep compassion animals deserve. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine because I intentionally create time for it. I prioritize structure, consistency, and presence when caring for animals. Whether it’s morning feedings, midday check-ins, afternoon walks, or evening playtime, I plan my schedule to ensure pets receive attention, exercise, and companionship—not just quick visits. I’m reliable, punctual, and communicative, and I provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing Safety and trust are my top priorities. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, routines, medications, and boundaries. I respect your space as if it were my own and keep everything clean and secure.
About: I have dealt with many different pet personalities and genuinely care about their needs. I aim to give your four-legged friends the attention they deserve. I believe that a dog should have the ability to see what outside looks like, and visit different areas such as parks. I also believe that all pets act a certain way for a reason, and shouldn't be yelled at, or treated badly if they aren't 'easy-going' or 'social'. Personally, my love for pets started when I got my first dog as five years old. Named him Rocky after the boxer, Rocky Balboa. Unfortunately, he passed away two years ago from old age. He was blind, but he still recognized my voice...which was pretty amazing. Rocky showed me that a dog could truly be a man's best friend. I pledge to give the upmost care to your best friend. I currently work from home, so I will have plenty of time to play, walk, and give your pet the love they need while you’re away. I will carefully review your instructions in order to provide the best and safest environment for your pet(s). My services will be provided at a level that gives you and your pet maximum comfort.

“We were hesitant to leave our Nico with a sitter due to him recovering from an injury. But after reading her profile and seeing how knowledgeable and experienced she was, we had no doubt our Nico was in amazing hands. Lauren kept us updated with messages and pictures, allowing us complete peace of mind while we were away. She went above and beyond to make sure our anxious pup was comfortable. Highly recommend and would gladly book again!”

About: I have been involved with dogs since I was 12 years old when I started raising Guide Dogs for the blind. After that I worked at a kennel/training facility for 6 years, then became a dog groomer for 10 years as well as went back to more kennel work. I also breed and show border collies and train them for a variety of different events. To say my live revolves around my dogs is an understatement. I have been working with dogs for over 30 years in a variety of aspects. I work from home 8-4:30 with a lunch break. I am able to check on your pups before and after work and even on my lunch break depending on the proximity of our homes. In my home my dogs are indoors with me during the day. They go outside for 20 minutes every hour (supervised only). During they day they have their own dog room next to the living room where I work. Toys beds and crates fill their area. I treat your dog just like one of my own when they are with me. Our dogs sleep in our room with us as well. In your home its your rules and what you need out of a sitter. I would ideally like to take your dog outside to play or for a walk (if that is what they would like). Really it's about the dog and trying to keep a normal routine.
“Amazing sitter, Breanna was so attentive and great with Dewey! She is very responsive and clearly loves animals, I would definitely book her again! She has a way with pets”

“Brandy and Emma had SO much fun at this dog palace!! We got lots of photos during the 4-5 days they stayed there. We could tell they were so happy there just by looking at the photos. Brandy especially loved their little moat that’s they have. Lots of the pictures involved either Brandy soaking wet living her best life and Emma with cute little pigtails! They even made paw prints! We were so pleased with them and will definitely be returning!!”
“Andy took good care of my dogs. They were relaxed when I picked them up. My medium sized dog enjoyed playing fetch. The little one enjoyed being cared around in the pouch. Andy cares about dogs. He has a large shaded yard.”

“Sidney is AWESOME! Two sitters cancelled on me at the last minute and I had an early flight to catch in the morning and Sidney swooped in to save the day. Goose absolutely loved her and her boyfriend Jeffry. They gave him unconditional love, sent me updates, and Goose enjoyed himself so much he almost didn't want to leave. If there was a ranking higher than 5 stars I'd give it.”

“Glenda pet sitted for our very active lab puppy at her home. It was very reassuring to know he was watched closely and taken good care of while we were away for a few days. We will definitely use her again!”
“Amber is amazing my dogs absolutely love her! She’s great with communication and keeping me informed about the wellbeing of my dogs. I’ve already booked her for another week while I’m out of town and I look forward to having her as my permanent dog sitter. A+++ highly recommended.”
