About: Hi there! I’m Barr, a wife and mother with a lifelong love for animals. We have a sweet 15-year-old Jack Russell named Indie, and I honestly can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t have a pet. Animals have always been a huge part of our family, and our compassion for them is one of the reasons we chose a vegan lifestyle. I also worked as a veterinary assistant for two years, where I gained hands-on experience caring for pets and supporting their health and well-being. As a mom, I’m now looking to earn a little extra income while doing something that truly matters to me—spending time with and caring for animals. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I will treat your pets with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I’m a stay-at-home mom, so my schedule is incredibly flexible. This is one of the reasons why I wanted to start doing this and would be perfect for any spontaneous short or long trips! I have a spacious backyard, but unfortunately, it’s not fenced. To keep our dog, Indie, who is incredibly friendly with all animals, safe, I usually take them for three walks each day. “This was our first time not only using Rover but leaving our 5 month old puppy. Booking with Bridget was easy and she responded quickly. She had our little Moofasa for a weekend. We were a nervous wreck leaving our little guy but she kept in contact with us throughout his stay and shared pictures! She took him to the park and to the beach. I live in an apartment surrounded by a large wooded area with no ticks or excessive bugs. We are close to highway 80 for ease of travel and have river access in the yard and a private neighborhood for safe walks.

About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was just a baby, all my family members have had puppies and doggies and can always rely on me to watch them when they’ve needed it. On days that I am not working I would love to be walking or sitting dogs! I usually go for morning and sunset walks everyday so I would be happy to have a friend join me! I've been a pet-sitter in various capacities for about 15 years; from staying at owner's houses to keep their furry friends safe, happy, and at ease, to daily drop-ins and dog walks - I've even had some experience with reptiles and birds! I'm new(ish) to the area (originally from Maryland, but moved to Nevada County a few months ago from San Francisco) but consider myself an active volunteer and member of this wonderful town. I live with my fiance and our very gentle, medium-sized cockapoo Rigatoni; we love hikes and nature and don't host parties or leave the house for extended periods of time, so your pet will always be in a safe, caring environment, and will receive full attention in an extremely dog-friendly, clean environment.
