“For years, I have struggled with what to do with my cat and dog when I need to leave time. My usual solution was to have someone check on them at my house. The last time I did that, a good friend told me she would check in on them. But the five days I was gone, I never see her on my Ring camera checking on them, despite her claims she did. Then a friend told me that Rover has pet sitters who will watch your pets at their house. That’s how I found Janice and Darrell, the best pet sitters I have ever used. From the moment I met them, I could tell they genuinely love animals. They are also very knowledgeable about caring for dogs and cats and immediately felt comfortable leaving Sunny and Rosie with them for a week. While I was gone, they sent me updates and photos how they were doing. My pets looked happy and content, which made my own vacation more enjoyable and stress free. When I returned to pick them up, they had prepared a report on how they did while I was gone. Plus certificates for them! It was such a sweet touch! As I was traveling to the area with an unknown schedule, Elizabeth was super flexible in scheduling, and extremely accommodating where she was willing to watch my pup at a different location than initially scheduled- was a HUGE blessing as my puppy is extremely sensitive to change and has a very high level of anxiety. About: I can’t imagine living a life without being a dog mom. I’ve had dogs since my childhood and practically my entire adult life. I’ve had heartbreak from losing them because they were so loved. I’m retired and home mostly except for when I travel. I’m available to walk dogs and to play with them in fenced yard. I have a soft spot for all animals. My dog Holly is mostly an inside dog but always has access to fenced backyard through doggie door. The same would apply for any dogs I care for.

Can work anywhere with WiFi, so except for gym-time/tennis practice (spring/summer) I can be with your pet/pets from first eye-open to bedtime. Plenty of play/lovin'! Was pre-vet med in college, so not squeamish about pills/shots. Always try to arrange pre-stay meet'n'greet so your baby is not startled by my presence.

About: Although I dont have any pets myself, I have had plenty experience working and taking care of cats and dogs. I am more than qualified to help because I am patient, and passionate about caring for pets. I have a flexible schedule I usually work weekends part time at a restaurant so I have the time to be able to walk or feed any cat or dog any day of the week. I dont have any pets myself so that would give me the time to be able to help take care of others. It depends on the standards of the owner, with dogs its important to walk them with a secure leash and make sure to let them walk around and sniff before doing their bussiness, I will always pick up after them to ensure a clean neighborhood. With cats and dogs you want to make sure to open the door slowly when walking inside and keep them indoors so they are safe.
