I’m a full time ski patroller in the winter and an EMT in the summer. I grew up with and helped raise an few animals in my family, volunteered at my local SPCA and have several years of experience dog sitting and walking. I can take dogs on walks, trail running or swimming, I love anything outdoors. About: Greetings. I’ve had a best friend who was with me everyday for 15 years. I was with her from the beginning to the end. I am sensitive to the needs of our dogs and always very aware of our surroundings. I’m ultra aware of the cayotes up here and all their tricks. With the new smells and distractions for some dogs that are not from here I always feel safer to keep them on leash during our walks. I live alone in a quiet cabin on a quiet street, no traffic and no neighbors. Big fenced back yard and a small gated front porch. I know all the trails in Sierra track as well as the whole area. I’m very flexible and will take care of all the little things that are needed and the unexpected ones that pop up. I know how stressfull it can be traveling and then leaving your best friend with someone. I will communicate with you and make it easy and stress free. It’s a big adjustment not having my sweet girl Francis. I was so used to waking up and she was there, or coming home and she was sitting in my spot waiting for me. Honestly this is good for me having a dog around. It’s helping with this process I’m going through. I am very flexible and available almost anytime and on short notice if life happens. I know how that goes. I know the trails and areas to go that are safe and fun. Im an early riser, and I enjoy mornings walks when it’s nice and quiet with no traffic or crowds of people. I have no problem with taking the pup with me in the car to run a quick errand or even better a day trip somewhere. Some dogs love car rides with the window down and nose out. And some do not. It’s all optional, absolutely no problems leaving him or her at home while I’m out for a sec. I primarily work from home and would be with him/her almost all the time. My dog Francis was a little attached. Maybe loyal is a better word. I was very lucky with her and didn’t have to worry too much. But I learned to never ever let anything happen to her. Very aware of our environment. Cars, other dogs, cayotes, bees , bodies of water and all weather conditions, hot pavement and even to always avoid the drains/grates in the roads ect. I’m not disactred by my phone or anything else. I’ll only feed what the owner approves.

I even lived on an animal sanctuary for a year and half tending to rescued farm animals. About: I have taken care of cats and dogs for friends and family for the past ten years. I have a pretty flexible schedule and am open to boarding pets at my house. I am young and healthy and am able to take dogs on long walks or even runs depending on their energy level and how much exercise they need. I have also watched after senior pets and have had to stay on top of their medicine schedules, changing doggie dipers, etc. I live two blocks from a beautiful meadow and river and there are endless trails to take pets out to run around and play fetch while also getting away from the crowds. I also live ten minutes from a dog beach and a dog park. I work 7 days a week in the summertime from May-September as a licensed boat captain on Lake Tahoe. This is where I make most of my income. Despite a busy schedule I still can find time to look after some pets in the summer. In the winter I coach the Freeride Ski Team at Kirkwood Mountain, however this job is very infrequent and leaves me with loads of free time in the fall, winter, and spring. I have a fenced in yard at my home, as well as a crate if needed. At other homes, I always make sure the pet has plenty of water before leaving, as well as take care of any food or medicine routines that the owners have in place. I am also able to sleep at a clients house if that is needed.

I now travel too much for work to consider getting another pet myself, but would love to borrow some to get my four legged furry fix. I am self employed professional photographer with a flexible weekly schedule and I work from home, except when I am out photographing clients. I would love to be a trusted fill-in for your standards of interaction with your pal if our schedules align. Please note that I am NOT a good fit for pandemic animals that cannot be left unattended or have separation anxiety. About: Growing up with animals gave me a special appreciation and gratitude for all fur babies. I’ve cared for many animals throughout my life. I even lived on an animal sanctuary for a year and half tending to rescued farm animals. About: I've been a dog mom for over 15 years. I most recently lost my best friend Izzy, a big Loverador, after 12 years in 2020, and have since missed the joy a dog brings into the home. Breaks often include walks to either one of the nearby parks or open space USFS land; all within less than a mile of the property.
