“First time we boarded our girls locally for a quick 2 night ski getaway. Teeda is very flexible, accommodating and easy to communicate with. After a quick meet and greet at the dogpark , she seemed very confident in being able to handle our two 65lbs+ dogs in her home. Richard was very welcoming when we dropped the girls off the next day and assured us that they would be safe. They ran right into and through the house to the fully fenced backyard with wagging tails. The dogs seemed very happy - I was relieved. Teeda sent us photos every day and answered messages every time. Thank you Teeda and Richard for welcoming our girls into your home and taking care of them! We'll be back!”

Daycare Rates & Information: Daycare is up to 8 hours of care. Anything longer than that time, please book a boarding stay. Drop-offs anytime after 8 a.m. Pickups before 8 p.m. Although there is a nice buffer of woods near my house, the yard is not fenced (hopefully soon). I’ll be sure to keep your pup on a leash just in case! There’s an enclosed deck for sunbathing and watching chipmunks.

About: Greetings. I’ve had a best friend who was with me everyday for 15 years. I was with her from the beginning to the end. I am sensitive to the needs of our dogs and always very aware of our surroundings. I’m ultra aware of the cayotes up here and all their tricks. With the new smells and distractions for some dogs that are not from here I always feel safer to keep them on leash during our walks. I live alone in a quiet cabin on a quiet street, no traffic and no neighbors. Big fenced back yard and a small gated front porch. I know all the trails in Sierra track as well as the whole area. I’m very flexible and will take care of all the little things that are needed and the unexpected ones that pop up. I know how stressfull it can be traveling and then leaving your best friend with someone. I will communicate with you and make it easy and stress free. It’s a big adjustment not having my sweet girl Francis. I was so used to waking up and she was there, or coming home and she was sitting in my spot waiting for me. Honestly this is good for me having a dog around. It’s helping with this process I’m going through. I am very flexible and available almost anytime and on short notice if life happens. I know how that goes. I know the trails and areas to go that are safe and fun. Im an early riser, and I enjoy mornings walks when it’s nice and quiet with no traffic or crowds of people. I have no problem with taking the pup with me in the car to run a quick errand or even better a day trip somewhere. Some dogs love car rides with the window down and nose out. And some do not. It’s all optional, absolutely no problems leaving him or her at home while I’m out for a sec. I primarily work from home and would be with him/her almost all the time. My dog Francis was a little attached. Maybe loyal is a better word. I was very lucky with her and didn’t have to worry too much. But I learned to never ever let anything happen to her. Very aware of our environment. Cars, other dogs, cayotes, bees , bodies of water and all weather conditions, hot pavement and even to always avoid the drains/grates in the roads ect. I’m not disactred by my phone or anything else. I’ll only feed what the owner approves.

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs for friends and family for the past ten years. I have a pretty flexible schedule and am open to boarding pets at my house. I am young and healthy and am able to take dogs on long walks or even runs depending on their energy level and how much exercise they need. I have also watched after senior pets and have had to stay on top of their medicine schedules, changing doggie dipers, etc. I live two blocks from a beautiful meadow and river and there are endless trails to take pets out to run around and play fetch while also getting away from the crowds. I also live ten minutes from a dog beach and a dog park. I work 7 days a week in the summertime from May-September as a licensed boat captain on Lake Tahoe. This is where I make most of my income. Despite a busy schedule I still can find time to look after some pets in the summer. In the winter I coach the Freeride Ski Team at Kirkwood Mountain, however this job is very infrequent and leaves me with loads of free time in the fall, winter, and spring. I have a fenced in yard at my home, as well as a crate if needed. At other homes, I always make sure the pet has plenty of water before leaving, as well as take care of any food or medicine routines that the owners have in place. I am also able to sleep at a clients house if that is needed.

About: Dogs, cats, miniature donkeys, turtles, turkeys and chickens — I’ve cared for animals since I was a kid! I am the friend that wins over pets that play hard to get. I’m friendly, personable and love spending time playing with animals outside. I am looking to incorporate pets into my daily activities. I’m a very active person and go out to trail run, bike, swim, surf, etc everyday. I also work all over the city and am often in different necks of the wood. I am very easily able to meet the requests of pet owners. I care for pets in their home as I would in my own home. For house sitting, I do aim to leave your home in better condition than when I arrived. I frequently launder linens, wash dishes, sweep, vacuum and mop before leaving a care site.

“First time we boarded our girls locally for a quick 2 night ski getaway. Teeda is very flexible, accommodating and easy to communicate with. After a quick meet and greet at the dogpark , she seemed very confident in being able to handle our two 65lbs+ dogs in her home. Richard was very welcoming when we dropped the girls off the next day and assured us that they would be safe. They ran right into and through the house to the fully fenced backyard with wagging tails. The dogs seemed very happy - I was relieved. About: I'm Rachel, a writer with a flexible schedule and a love of all things canine. I live with my husband, and my chocolate Labrador retriever, Ellie, in our West Shore cabin near Homewood. Daycare Rates & Information: Daycare is up to 8 hours of care. Anything longer than that time, please book a boarding stay. Drop-offs anytime after 8 a.m. Pickups before 8 p.m. Although there is a nice buffer of woods near my house, the yard is not fenced (hopefully soon). I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.
