About: I have taken care of cats since I was about 10 years old. I had two cats at the time and I was in charge of feeding and changing their litter at least twice a day. Once I lived on my own I got my own cat, Felix, then a few years later another cat, Grizwold. Having a nice clean area for the cats has always been a priority for me. About: I’ve been pet-sitting for my neighbor for more than 18 years and I even have experience raising puppies for Canine Companions for Independence. About: My headline is probably my most asked question anywhere I go lol. My family has had a multitude of different pets over the years, so I actually know how to care for a lot of animals including an African bullfrog if you can believe that. I've also been house sitting/dog sitting for friends and family for years. I'm also really good with cautious dogs, I know how to make a dog who doesn't like strangers warm up to me. It might take a little while but eventually they love me. As far as walks go I love walks and who better to do it with than a dog? But I'm also conscientious of heat, where to walk on hot days so their paws don't burn and water for us to drink. I have a decent amount of control of my work time. So I am able to take breaks when needed to take animals for quick walks, playtime, and of course potty breaks. My goal is not to leave animals without these types of interactions for more than 5 hours at a time. Of course for special needs animals and puppies this can be appropriately adjusted. I strive to keep animals at ease by keeping their normal routine. So I often ask about what the animals normal day looks like and plan accordingly.
About: I believe in the freedom a pet has to do their business and for me to be their poop collector. I will help your senior dog get around if they need a little extra help or with your puppy to gain confidence exploring a new area. I have 3 dogs. 2 Senior at 11 years old and 1 younger at 3 years old. They are taken care of first thing in the morning and last thing at night. 1 has many allergies that we care for each day. When helping out at a pets home I follow directions of the owner. If the pet is allowed in the yard I will stay with them while they are playing and or exploring. I clean up after pets if they accidently make a mess or spill some of their food / water.

If you are a NEW client wanting to book an overnight stay please contact me at least three days ahead of the booking so we have time to discuss the conditions of the stay. I do not accept last minute requests for house sittings. I have several years of experience house sitting for puppies/kittens, adult, and elderly dogs/cats. I am also familiar with the preparation of specialized diets, and administering certain medications (oral, or injection) if needed. I am happy to stay overnight for extended lengths of time to care for pets in their home. If there are any other furry friends in the household I would be happy to provide care for them as well! I have experience caring for a wide range of animals and would be happy to provide for other household pets such as: guinea pigs, birds, reptiles, rabbits, and rodents. “I highly recommend Dee Dee and her loving family to take special care of your dog. They truly treated my dog Cooper like one of their family. My senior age dog has some separation anxiety issues and is noise sensitive, and the family was patient and kind to him as he settled in to the new environment. Cooper got lots of ball throws from the kids in the back yard and lots of snuggles at night. I got lots of pictures and updates throughout his stay. I got to relax on my vacation knowing my dog was living his “Other” Best Life! This is family that wants to do Rover because they just love dogs and they want to be blessed by having a dog in their home. I could just feel the love and care that this family showered my precious dog with.”
