“Wenchi was very caring and attentive to my cat- sent me lots of pictures everyday so I was never worried about her. Perfect transitions of dropping off and picking her up- my vacation was much more relaxing knowing that my cat was safe and sound. Thank you!! I will definitely be booking again in the future 😸”

“I reserved time for my pup to spend the day with Achara and her dogs based on her reviews. She sent a couple photos to update me on his day. I picked him up and he was worn out! Archara is very responsive and responds quickly to messages. I would use her again.”

“Edward had another wonderful stay with Jessie. He gets so excited when he sees her. He’s so much happier staying with her than at a boarding kennel and she takes great care of him.”

“A very nice girl who tried her best to nurture and console my not very willing dogs. 😄 she did a great job and sent lots of videos and messages to keep me up to date with how they were doing… they loved her and had fun playing with her two sweet dogs. I definitely recommend her!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a teenager. I grew up in a household that always had multiple pets (fish, dogs, hamsters) and have since expanded my love for animals by dog sitting and cat sitting for friends and family in the neighborhood. I am offering dog walking, sitting and other pet care services for whatever furry friend you need! I’m excited to get started with Rover and build community connections in Davis! I am currently a UC Davis student looking for a part-time way to make extra money and spend more time outside and with animals! I love going on long walks and hanging out at the dog park, or just entertaining your pet at home. I live in an apartment with an unfenced yard. When I dog sit for friends, I make sure to give regular potty breaks every couple of hours and maintain an environment that is safe and comforting for your pet.
“Rebecca looked after my dog Belle overnight. Good communication, easy to book with. She was very flexible on timing and accommodated a very early drop off. Lots of photos and she gave my dog a little gift which was very kind of her. Would recommend. Thanks so much!”
About: We’re experienced Rover users ourselves, so we understand how important it is to find someone you truly trust with your pet. After recently losing our German Shepherd, Ace, due to old age, we’ve been missing the joy of having more dogs around, and our lab, Indie, would love a playmate. We have a home with a secure yard and are excited to offer a safe, loving environment for dogs while their owners travel or need extra support. We treat every dog like family, with plenty of attention, playtime, and care tailored to their needs. Whether your pup is energetic or prefers a slower pace, we’ll make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and at home. For everyone’s safety and happiness, dogs must get along well with Indie, and we require a meet-and-greet before booking. I am a nurse in Davis and my wife works from home which allows for flexibility throughout the day. We stay pretty scheduled but have the availability to cater to our dogs needs! We have a fully fenced yard with a friendly lab. We love being outside and going for walks in west Davis. Since we used to have 2 dogs we are familiar with leash safety and navigating other dogs on walks.
“Ann is a very caring dog sitter. She took time to get to know our dog when we dropped her off. She sent updates each day we were away from our fur baby. Have always felt comfortable knowing our dogs were in good hands when we traveled. Would always recommend her to anyone looking to have their pet sat for. Thank you again Ann!”

“XingYuan was great!! All the updates with pictures and videos were awesome & I could tell my dog was very comfortable with her & happy! Will use her again in the future.”

“Greta had a great time staying with Brandee. Brandee is always so sweet and prompt to respond. I loved the photos and video she sent for Mother's Day. It is reassuring to know that Greta is in good hands when we are away.”

“Our dog absolutely adores Roy! This is the fourth time that Roy has watched our dog. Normally, she’s hesitant when being left at a house for boarding. She wants me to try to take her home and she doesn’t want me to leave her where she’s at. But when we showed up at Roy’s house, she’ll let me give her a couple pets and then she just walked inside like she owned the place. It was really clear how comfortable and safe our dog felt. Roy is an excellent communicator, is kind and responsive. Will definitely book again!”

If you have a cat I will keep him/her safely inside and if you have a dog I will engage with him/her mainly outside! Dogs need their vitamin-D! Overall however you would like your pet to be managed I will do so soundly.
About: For years I’ve been caring for animals as if they were my own. With my sister being a dog trainer, I’ve gained plenty of knowledge and encouragement to go into this business. I’m currently working as a part-time server with time available on Wednesdays and Thursdays as of now for dog walking and/or pet care. I also have a large window for morning walks Monday-Friday. I typically like to get a written checklist of the routine or discuss routines prior to the day(s) requested. I do not offer in home boarding until further notice.
“Martha was awesome! Very attentive and caring. Kept in contact to let me know how Angel was adjusting. And sent pictures which reassured me that she is definitely an animal lover 🩷🩷🩷”

“Juliana was very attentive and respectful not only to my pet, but to me and the directions given. I not only would recommend Juliana to others in need of a pet sitter, but I would gladly book her again.”

“Emily was very communicative and made sure to always share photos of our fur babies so that we could see they were doing great without us there. She always made sure to check off every need and went beyond our expectations in taking care of our cats. I would definitely recommend!”

About: I have two cats of my own and have had cats my whole life, so I completely understand their personalities and needs! I treat every cat like my own and focus on keeping them comfortable, calm, and happy in their familiar routine. I’m patient and attentive, whether your cat is playful, shy, or independent.

About: I have experience caring for cats with different personalities and needs, and I’m attentive to routines, behavior, and overall well-being. I’m reliable, patient, and good at creating a calm environment, while handling feeding, litter care, and play with consistency and care.

“Audrey did an awesome job watching my cats, I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. My cats loved Audrey back, as evidenced by pics of them crawling all over Audrey, lol! The litter box was clean, and they were fed and happy when I got home too, just like I was hoping. Audrey was kind and pleasant to be in contact with.”

About: I have always taken care of pets since I was little ranging from cats and dogs to reptiles to any pet not a person that needed to take care of that near me. I only have two in person classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays and other than that I am free no other job except school right now :) I have always taken care of my family’s pet, especially my sisters which her house consist of a golden retriever and a poodle and a Chihuahua. The poodle is very very old and she is an elderly dog, so she’s blind and has arthritis and going to deaf, so I was always used to cleaning up and guided her to the restroom or her food and still focusing on the other pets, giving everyone the proper love and care at the exact same time.

“Megan was fantastic with my cat Norman. Norman is a diabetic cat who can be aggressive with strangers when they try to give insulin, so it's often tough to find sitters who can manage him. I was so happy with how patient and compassionate Megan was with him. She was extremely reliable and a great communicator, and was able to make sure he got his insulin on time everyday. I would really highly recommend Megan, you can definitely trust her to take great care of your pet!”

“This is only the second time we have left our senior pup with a caretaker. We never had to worry about her; Colleen kept in regular contact with texts. When she arrived and left the house, what they did, and even a list of number of pees and poops (!). Our dog had some expected accidents in the house and Colleen just dealt with them without complaint. Colleen made sure we had photos so we could see our pet was thriving and happy. Also, thank you Rover for your professional service.”

About: Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. Raised on a farm and on a pre-vet track from a young age, I’ve spent decades caring for animals of all kinds—from house pets to livestock to wildlife. Starting at 14, I volunteered in local vet clinics and wildlife rehab centers, gaining hands-on experience with everything from cats and dogs to peacocks, horses, goats, snakes, fish, birds, and cattle. At UC Davis, I deepened my care skills while working at the world-renowned Vet Hospital, tending to cats and dogs during the swing shift. I also worked with campus goats, pigs, sheep, fish, cattle, and horses—and even fostered cats for the hospital. Now in my 30s, I’m an education professional and dedicated pet mom to both cats and dogs. I continue to care for friends’ and neighbors’ pets with the same compassion, attention, and responsibility that’s guided me my whole life. I’m certified in Cat & Dog CPR & First Aid, and Infant, Child, and Adult CPR/AED/First Aid, and have emergency care experience with animals large and small. I’m calm under pressure, reliable, and always communicate clearly—your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I'm currently taking a break from teaching, and being a full-time stay-at-home mama to my 2.5 year old daughter. I have plenty of time to care for your furry family member. Please note that at this time, we are seeking families whose pets are comfortable around toddlers and children. I have a fully fenced yard, and a park just around the corner from my house for those whose furry friends enjoy a stretch, walk, or playtime! I am comfortable using a crate, and we have plenty of floor room in the house (carpet and laminate) for them to lay down if they're not crate trained. We do not allow dogs on the furniture. Cats are allowed to wander the house. We are more than happy to put up child gates to keep your furry family member in certain areas of the house if they're prone to getting into things (such as stuffed animals for the kiddos... I mean really, a lot of doggie toys these days look so similar! I'd understand the misconception. lol) We're not afraid to be firm but kind if your family member needs set boundaries.
About: Hello, my name is Esmerilda. I graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology and am in search of dog walking, training, bathing, and pet sitting positions to help me pay off student loans. Aspiring veterinarians usually know they have a special gift with animals as a child, as I discovered at the age of 7. Thus, I have been involved in the husbandry of my own dogs, cats, and exotic animals the majority of my life! Due to my extensive experience as a lab animal technician, kennel attendant, and shelter volunteer, I have 6 years of professional experience in animal husbandry. During the year of the notorious Camp Fire, I worked as a veterinary assistant at the UC Davis Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital to 4th year veterinary students with disabilities during their clinical year. As their "right hand woman", I provided various accommodations for physical and intellectual limitations in order to facilitate their success. I was directly involved with the treatment of animal patients in ophthalmology, cardiology, community practice, community surgery, companion avian and pet exotics, dentistry, dermatology, internal medicine, neurology, shelter medicine & surgery, anesthesia, behavior, and nutrition. For several years, I also gained technical skills as a veterinary assistant in small veterinary hospitals and for the nonprofit Mercer Clinic for the Pets of the Homeless. Thus, I am exceptionally knowledgeable in the field of veterinary medicine. At the client's request, I also offer one on one obedience training on walks, baths, nail trimming, syringe feeding, and transportation to veterinary appointments for an additional charge (not listed). I have committed my 'gap year' before veterinary school to providing my sevices on Rover- ensuring your pet receives the highest quality of care and love while you are away. Please do not hesitate in contacting me so I may meet my new fur (or scaled or feathered) buddy. Thank you for your time and consideration :) ANIMALS ARE MY LIFE. NO, SERIOUSLY! I work full time an animal caretaker unless my calendar is marked as I'm unavailable because I scheduled a vacation to combat caretaker fatigue, I am available, 24 (like Kobe) hours , 7 days a week , rain and shine ! 🌞 I am an observant, vigilant pet owner myself and strive to go above and beyond in maintaining a secure and clean environment for your animal(s) as well. I have experience adhering to strict animal protocols within both veterinary hospital and laboratory settings, thus applying these skills as your animal caretake/technician within your home. Please notify me if your pet is an escape artist, uses a crate, what your boundaries are (i.e. furniture or specific areas off-limits), if your pet uses an e-collar or GPS collar, and the like! As always, your dog gets my full attention—walks are always private and limited to dogs from the same household.
About: I am a passionate animal lover and obsessed with dogs (and cats)! From pets to dirty work, anything your fur baby needs I'm on it. Of course I'll play with and love on them when you're not around, but I am also happy to do some cleaning to make sure they're safe and sound when you get back home. I can take dogs on long walks, play fetch in the dog park, or give them baths. Litter boxes are no problem, whatever your baby needs! ¡Yo hablo español! I have a lot of schedule flexibility to take care of animals. I have plenty of time throughout the week, and am wide open on weekends and holidays. Feel free to take your trip, work late, or whatever takes you away from home because I got your back. I have a fenced yard at my house and one small dog who plays well with others. I also live close to a park and walk dogs there often. At your house- you set the rules! Wherever you live, I am happy to take your dogs on walks or play fetch with them in your back yard. I can scoop poop, refresh the waters, brush out the undercoat, and vacuum the fur.

About: A former UC Davis graduate. I’ve taken care of dogs all my life. I’m a dependable and attentive pet sitter who focuses on creating a calm, low-stress experience tailored to each animal’s personality and routine. I’m especially skilled at reading behavior cues, helping shy or anxious pets feel comfortable, and maintaining consistency with feeding, cleaning, and enrichment. I also have availability on weekends on a need to need basis. I’m ready and willing to spend as much time as your pets need. About: We are excellent dog, cat, bird, poultry, reptile, and fish caretakers as we have raised most of these, and a few years ago, we had a thriving Rover business taking care of folks' animal babies. We can take care of medications if your pet needs: We have administered medicine to most of the animals on our list, including oral medication for a rooster and injections for a snake. We have had some experience in training our current dog as a service animal. While we have not had the chance to care for farm animals on our own, we love them and have had experience being around them (horses, sheep, goats, cows, pigs, alpaca). Animals, plants, gardens, farms, and home-care are all in our wheelhouse and are the foundations to our lives. If you are looking to have your fur baby stay with us, we have a large home with a fenced backyard. Our German Shepherd loves to play with other dogs, and we take him and our guests to local dog parks or fenced fields to play ball and or frisbee. We take care of our guests exactly how we want our pup to be taken care of! I work part time remotely and part time I will need to be in the field. What that means is a lot of the time, I will be in the home, hanging with your furry, feathered, or scaly baby, working on my laptop. During the times I need to work outside of the home, my 19 year old daughter (who has been doing Rover with me since she was 11) will give the best care in my place. I have a thriving Airbnb business in my home for over a decade, so I have a ton of experience and mindset on home-care: I treat other folks' pets and homes as well as I treat my own. I make it point to keep my clients connected via photos and updates. If I am providing boarding in my home, our 4 year old German Shepherd will love to play with your pup. If I am providing sitting in your home, then my pup will stay home unless requested for a playmate in your home.
About: What sets me apart is as a pre-vet student, my clinical experience working in a veterinary setting, where I assisted in vaccine clinics and gained hands-on exposure to animal handling and care. This experience taught me how to safely and calmly work with animals of different temperaments, including those who may be nervous or stressed. I also have over 10 years of experience with a variety of species including dogs, cats, cows, goats, pigs, chickens and birds. I am happy and open to take care of all animals. I’m attentive to detail and able to recognize changes in behavior, appetite, or energy that could indicate a problem. While I provide loving and reliable care, I also bring a level of awareness and responsibility that comes from working in a clinical environment. I’m comfortable following specific care instructions and making sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Beyond that, I truly enjoy spending time with animals and make an effort to build trust and give them the attention and affection they need. Afterall, it's all I want to do as I pursue my dreams to becoming a Veterinarian :) I have a very flexible schedule. I make sure to plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for so they receive plenty of time, attention, and exercise. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions to maintain their normal routine, environment, and feeding schedule to reduce stress. I always ensure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, and I closely supervise pets during walks and playtime. I create a calm, clean, and safe environment and pay close attention to behavior or any signs of discomfort. With my background in animal science and clinical settings, I am detail-oriented, reliable, and focused on making sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and at ease while you’re away.
About: I’ve spent over 10 years caring for pets, including senior pets and those with special needs, including diabetes care. I’m always happy to tailor my approach so your pet gets the exact care, attention, and routine they’re used to. As someone with pets of my own, I have a good chunk of time carved out specifically for animal care. I would love to spend my spare time with other pets while their families are away. I am committed to providing personalized care tailored to each pet’s routine and needs. In a client’s home, I maintain your pet’s normal schedule with feedings, fresh water, walks or litter box cleaning, playtime, and companionship. My goal is to keep your pet comfortable and their routine consistent to minimize any stress while you're away.
“Carmen has been a terrific dog walker for our two hounds. They were practically smiling in the photos she’d send us each day. 5 stars and would definitely recommend to anyone in the Davis area looking for assistance with their pets.”

“Esmerilda has been great. She’s one of my regulars and I would highly recommend her. Energetic, great personality and great w animals esp my “special needs” Bow:)!”
About: I’ve had cats/kittens continuously throughout my life and dogs/puppies continuously since my teenage years. As a kid I kept fish, reptiles, and amphibians. In my adolescence I had a dog walking and pet sitting business (records, marketing and all) caring for cats, dogs, rodents, and birds. I also spent my summers at a ranch getting accustomed to tending to all kinds of livestock. Then in high school I joined FFA and raised lamb. Through college I started working at a horse ranch that also keeps various other livestock. Currently, I myself have a horse, a couple sheep, and 2 cats. My other job is at a college so my schedule changes by semester. For the summer, I’m working 2 days a week which leaves early mornings, evenings, and the other 5 days a week flexible to meet your needs. I’m highly communicative and have a high attention to detail, so whatever specific needs or special instructions you have will be followed just as they are given. I have a quiet, calm, grounded demeanor that makes shy animals feel comfortable and at ease but I have plenty of energy to play with the party animals too! Have a dog that needs running instead of just a walk? I can do that also! I have two children (age 10 and 2) who love animals and are very gentle. If your animal loves kids then they would love to come along with me and give your animals some extra attention too. My limitations on species/types of animals are: no scorpions or tarantulas, or anything venomous no illegal exotics I will feed but not directly handle rams, bulls, boars, and stallions. Experience with: Wound care Administering oral and topical medications Bottle feeding
About: I’ve always loved animals of all kinds. Insects, reptiles, rats, especially cats and dogs. I’ve also volunteered at the ASPCA for a year! I have experience with almost all animals, and I’d love to help take care of yours! I take care of two pets of my own, but currently don’t have a stable job. My days are open! Might as well do what I love and get payed for it. XD I have a calm smaller dog, and a cat who LOVES dogs (she’s strange I know). I live right next to a huge park and walking trail.
“She is an amazing pet sitter! She is great with my dog, is very reliable, and I always know that my dog is safe with her and having fun! She walks my dog, throws the ball for her and lets her get energy out and use the bathroom while I’m at work and I always know she’s in good hands. She’s great at communication and is really flexible about what time she comes over. I highly recommend her!!”

“Jessica was great with our large dog who is a strong puller. She handled her well and gave great updates to put our minds at ease while we were away on a trip. She also adapted to some last minute scheduling shifts we had to make. We will definitely use Jessica again and would recommend her to our friends.”

About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I could remember. I have experience with bathing dogs who get exited or like to jump around. I also have experience administering medications or flea treatments to animals. I’m also familiar with nail care which I do to my own animals monthly. Currently i’m taking on new clients and I have an open schedule for 7 days a week. I have availability for mornings, afternoons and nights. I have a very big open field across my house that would be great for walks and running around. I live in an apartment so I don’t have a fenced in area but I have a patio.
About: I have been dog sitting since I was 17, spent the night at houses with animals, provided walks, food, baths and playtime. Many clients have asked me back. I have worked with both cats and dogs. I also grew up with cats and dogs and know how to care for them well. I am currently on summer break here in Davis with a pretty open schedule. Please reach out and we can coordinate a time that works with both of us! A clean and safe environment that is comfortable for both the animals and myself. Has parking, preferably fenced for extra safety, neighbors who are willing to communicate with me.
“Emme was wonderful! Our heeler can be temperamental sometimes, but Emme came over a few days before and met her, and Piper loved her! She sent pictures and was very communicative! We will definitely be using her again!!”

“Highly recommend Brooke! She is punctual, attentive and flexible with requests. But most of all, genuinely cares for Happy and happy to go the extra mile if needed. You will not be disappointed!”
About: I have taken care of cats and dogs at all stages of their lives! From birth to old age, I have bottle-fed and waned puppies, kitten sat, as well as administered insulin shots and oral medications to older cats and dogs. One of my kitties now also takes an oral pill twice daily, so I also have some experience giving cats pills :). I am a full-time student who just moved to Davis! I have a flexible schedule, meaning maintaining strict feeding or medication times should be no problem! I make sure all water sources are clean and replaced regularly, food bowls and cans are rinsed/washed immediately to avoid lingering smells, and do a quick walk-through of the pets' spaces to make sure your fur baby(s) didn't get into things they weren't supposed to. I also love plants, so in my own home, i keep them watered and check regularly for if there are new chomps in them and would be very happy to do the same for you if that is at all a concern :). And, of course, I offer plenty of play time with the kitties!

“Beyond fantastic! Kasandra kept our cocker while we were away for 2 weeks. Not only was he very well cared for—he was actually better than when we left him! He is way calmer and has better manners than he had at drop off. Kasandra gave me some pointers that will help me a lot with him at home. This gal is a dog whisperer!! I could not be more grateful. Thank you Kasandra!”
