“Our German Shepherd Kaiya was well taken care of. KANDRA has a nice size property and Kaiya was able to play with Kandra's pups. I could tell when I picked up Kaiya she was happy. The next morning at our home Our dog was I'm running all over the house and we let her outside, then she was running all over the backyard more than normal. I think she really missed her dog friends and Kandras place.”

“Tale’A was great! I would give her 10 stars if I could. She explained and showed me everything about what my dog’s stay would look like. My dog was immediately comfortable with her and her house. Her dog was the perfect match for my dog. I think my dog has a new bff. The backyard is a dream for an active dog. There was plenty of room both inside and out for my dog to roam around and sniff. She made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of. I can’t recommend her enough. My dog had a great time. When I picked him up he was very happy and relaxed. He shows his stress and there was none just a very happy and tired dog from all the playing he did. He snored the whole way on our long drive home. “Nicque was so great with my cat Phoenix! He immediately loved her when she came for the meet and greet. He jumped up and sat right on her lap, which he doesn’t even do for my friends that are around quite often! He was definitely relaxed when we got home and it made me feel so relaxed being away knowing that Nicque was there giving him love and taking care of him! I highly recommend Nicque and will definitely contact her in the future if we ever need a sitter for Phoenix!!”

About: Hello! I’ve been loving and caring for local pets for around 25 yrs. Some pets were young pups and kittens; some were older seniors. I specialize in petsitting at my clients homes. My longest pet sitting job was 3.5 weeks while the owners were in Italy. I have many referrals. I’ve taken care of miniature horses, Friesian horses, and a pig. (We have a lot of rural homes in Auburn area). I’m retired from a construction accounting job. We’re gladly at home most days! My shedule is flexible; if you have an emergency need for pet sitting, I’m your gal. I prefer to petsit at my client’s homes. The animals rather appreciate this. I like to meet the animal(s) before sitting so when I arrive, we have a connection. I give the animals plenty of one-on-one attention. This may include doggy massage to calm them and get to know them. Lots of walks if they like that. Potty Breaks every couple of hours to begin with, as they’re sometimes nervous or have stomach upsets. I’d like to know your favorite names for them, what your routines are, rituals, their favorite things to do. I’ve also stayed with animals after their surgeries to monitor when the owner has to work.

I hope I am a good fit and I can't wait to take care of your furry family members! I am able stay at your house but because I work at Target, I may need to leave the house for 4-8 hours every day. I am able to accommodate whatever your pet needs. And I am comfortable with crate training pets and giving oral medications. Since my Mom works in the veterinary industry she is available if I ever have a question about a pets care.
About: My experience growing up with dogs, cats, and various farm animals helped me develop the knowledge and skills required to take care of a wide range of animals. I've helped raise (and train) puppies and kittens as well seen to their needs as elderly pets. I love animals in any phase of life and am desperately missing having one of my own due to housing restrictions. I would love to snuggle and play with cats, dogs, or any creature in between :) I work at a gymnastics facility in Roseville most Mon-Fri 12-8 but am otherwise available for animal care. I currently pet sit for several animals in the Auburn area including a horse, goats, and chickens. The safety and well-being of your pets is my top-priority. As a pet owner for most of my life, I understand how stressful it can be to trust someone with your animals; but I promise to take care of them to the utmost of my ability. It is my goal for you to return to your pets being as happy, healthy, and cared for as they were when you last saw them.

“Amanda was very gracious towards our very naughty puppy. Apparently, some of the nervous behaviors that we don’t see at home came out with an unholy flourish at Amanda‘s home. But I appreciate the fact that Amanda gave us a full and honest report (which is helpful for us to gauge the areas he still needs significant training) and was very kind about the negatives. The most important thing, though, was that he settled down in the car almost immediately. Our dog is a very nervous dog, so if he has had a rough time at a dog sitter, we know right away because he whines and whimpers all the way home. After leaving Amanda‘s house, he winded for about 60 seconds and then went to sleep. Hallelujah! Thank you, Amanda, for the top quality care you have given to our very low quality puppy. I am especially grateful that Amanda was willing to take the puppy at the last minute, because my husband had a hospital procedure and I had completely forgotten about making arrangements for the dog. What a godsend Amanda has been.”

“Catie-Lynn and her loving family took excellent care of my older, blind pug mix, Winnie. When I arrived to pick up Winnie, the entire family was there to greet me. It was clear to me that Winnie received lots of love throughout the day. I appreciated their willingness to help me with my special needs dog. Five stars!”

“I felt like I left my kindergartner this morning when I left my 13 year old dog. She is deaf and was shaking. Amanda took Rubie with her for school drop off and I think that won Rubie over. Amanda sent me several updates and photos during the day to assure me Rubie was doing ok. Rubie loved it there and I will use Amanda again. She definitely went above and beyond! Thank you!”
“Mara was great with our pups. She gave us updates and sent us pictures. She also was able to take my pups last minute which I greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend her for any of your sitting needs.”

About: I have been a pet owner for all of my adult life. I have had cats, small dogs, and big dogs. I have successfully trained all of our pets to be obedient loving extensions of our family. My pets are much more than just pets! They each bring their own unique personality to my home that adds character and life. I treat them with love and care as they give so much of that to me daily. I am retired. I am often home outside of weekly errands, appointments, and time spent with grandchildren. I would love to welcome your furry friend into my daily adventures. I have a fenced yard that is manicured and perfect for dog exploration and exercise. I also have Finley, my goldendoodle, who loves to have pals to play with! I have crates that can be utilized as well if there is a need.

“My dog seemed very happy here and I got several updates throughout the day on how he was doing!! Very pleased with the doggy day care service and looking forward to future visits!”

About: I grew up on a large family farm with all kinds of animals. We recently had two senior Shih Tzu's that each had their own special needs. After the loss, we are ready to open our home to new pups! We love all dogs and animals of all kinds. Our property is a large 3 acres. Our large backyard is fenced. We enjoy hiking and long walks. My husband works from home so there's someone always here for potty breaks, snuggles and treats. We do have one friendly, easygoing cat. Your dog must be comfortable around cats. We are happy to give medications or whatever special needs that you might require. My husband works from home and we are generally homebody people. I work about 32 hours a work. I am usually at work at 10 am and home by 5:30 pm. Our cat is self-sufficient and has his own bathroom space with his automatic food feeder and litter box. This limits dogs from being cat box curious.
“Pam is the best!! So glad we found her. She is very experienced and has a calm and confident nature with dogs. Pam gives your dog undivided attention as she only takes one dog at a time. Perfect for our anxious little guy! Otis is a couch and bed surfer during the day so I love that she allows dogs on the furniture. Pam could easily become Otis's "surrogate" puppy parent! Kudos to her husband Dave as well, who "chills" with all the dogs on the couch!! I could see a bond forming!! Thank you Pam!! We will definitely be calling again.”

“Dude had an amazing visit with Dongjun and Minkoung and their daughter. I would highly recommend this family to anyone looking for a sitter! Dude will forsure be back for another visit”

“Stephanie took great care of Red, my energetic coonhound. Her setup was perfect for letting Red and a mix of other really nice dogs romp around and have a great time. Stephanie was so warm and kind, I knew Red was in great hands! He was exhausted when we picked him up!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my entire life, both large and smaller breeds. I’ve trained puppies from birth to adulthood. I am patient and kind to pets. I am retired, available to give time and attention to the dogs in my care. I enjoy spending time with dogs and teaching them basic manners and obedience. I have a large fenced yard, plenty of room to run and play. I have a nice neighborhood to take the dogs on walks on paved sidewalks.
“Maria did a fantastic job taking care of Piglet. She is a sweet gal and obviously an animal lover, which is who you want to leave your babies with. I think piggy would tell me she had a wonderful time if she could talk. Maria is really good at communicating too, which is a bonus! Thank you, Maria for taking such good care of my baby!!”

“Erin & Erin take care of our beloved dog Chip once a week when we both go into the office. It was so important for us to find someone who would take great care of him and love him as much as we do and we feel so lucky to have found those things with Erin & Erin. Chip gets so excited when we arrive at their house - he doesn’t even turn back to give me a goodbye! He has a great time playing with their pup Otis and comes home happy and tired. We highly recommend this family if you need care for your pup and want peace of mind that are in great hands.”

About: Having animals ranging in all ages since I was 5 has definitely helped but also helping friends and family since the age of 13 has been the best experience. I am available 24/7, our animals are just as important as us so I believe in having time for them whenever you or them may need it. Always following directions given by owner and doing thorough checks throughout the time I am with your 4 legged family. Staying aware of surroundings when out and about in walks.
About: My family has owned pets all of my life. Part of the duties for my first high school/college drop included taking care of my bosses four dogs. They included walks, play time, and grooming mainly. I'm not currently working, other than helping with my grandma when she requires, so I have all day free to walk, or play with, or check in, etc with pets. I have a 9 year old cat (Millie) that likes to keep to herself and an 18 month Goldendoodle (Gracie) who is super friendly and LOVES to play. I have a small yard that is not fenced, but a small porch that can be fenced that Gracie likes to hang out on when the weather is nice. I have a large living room with plenty of open space to play in. Plus a variety of walking routes around the house that Gracie loves to go on.

I love playing and interacting with all kinds of dogs! My family in sonoma county currently have a Rottweiler and a pit bull who are the best of friends. I know I can provide excellent care for your pets as they are members of the family. I am open to also house sitting as well as caring for the pets. I look forward to meeting with you in the future! Thank you I am available in the mornings, evenings, and weekends. I also work from home most days so I am available for quick visits throughout the day. I have the ability to travel to client households for visits or to house sit and dog sit. We do not have the capacity to board dogs in our home.
About: One of my favorite parts of pet sitting is sending photos and updates to owners while they're away. I know how reassuring it is to see that your pet is happy, comfortable, and well cared for when you can't be there. I genuinely love working with animals of all kinds. Over the past 10 years, I've cared for cats, dogs, birds, lizards, chickens, and many other pets. Animals bring so much joy to the world, and I believe they deserve attentive, compassionate care. I'm known for being reliable, flexible, and easy to work with—whether I'm helping friends, family, or new clients I've just met. Because every pet has unique needs, I take the time to learn their routines, personalities, and preferences. I also have extensive experience administering medications and caring for pets with special requirements. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you're away, knowing your beloved companion is safe, happy, and receiving the same level of care and attention that I would give my own pets. I would love the opportunity to help care for your furry, feathered, or scaly family member. I currently work full time as an office manager in the Roseville area, but I have a flexible and consistent schedule that allows me to support pet care needs throughout the day. I’m able to step out during my lunch breaks for potty visits, check-ins, or to administer medications when needed. My routine is well-structured, which helps me reliably accommodate most scheduling requests and provide consistent care. I understand how important timely visits and dependable support are for both pets and their owners, and I do my best to ensure that each visit is handled with care and attention. I believe the best pet care starts with following the guidance provided by pet owners. They know their pets best and understand their individual needs, routines, and personalities. One thing I've learned over the years is that every animal is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to caring for them. I also place a strong emphasis on observation and communication. When I first meet a pet, I take time to learn their normal behaviors and establish a baseline for how they typically act. If I notice anything that seems unusual or out of character, I promptly reach out to the owner to keep them informed. Clear, timely communication helps ensure the best possible care and provides peace of mind for pet owners. Above all, my goal is to create a safe, trusting, and compassionate environment where pets feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for.

Questions I will ask before we book a service: Can we meet beforehand to see if we are a good fit? What’s your dog’s name, age, and breed? What’s their usual routine? (feeding, walks, playtime, bedtime) How is your dog’s temperament? (e.g., friendly, anxious, energetic, shy) Does your dog have any medical conditions or special needs? Are they up-to-date on vaccinations and flea/tick prevention? What are their favorite activities or toys? Do they have any triggers or fears? (e.g., loud noises, other animals, strangers) How do they react to other dogs, pets, or people? Are there specific commands or cues I should know? Does your dog have any allergies or dietary restrictions? Do they require medication? If yes, how and when should it be administered? What’s the best way to comfort them if they get anxious? Do they have any behavioral quirks I should be aware of? (e.g., chewing, barking) Who should I contact in case of an emergency? (vet info and alternate contact) Is there anything else I should know to ensure your dog’s happiness and safety? I have 9 Airbnbs and own real estate in TX but currently back in California while running my business from home. I can work from anywhere. I have an extremely flexible schedule. I usually wake up feed the pets, walk and play with the doggies then start my work during the day. I will let the dogs out during the day and then feed and walk in the evenings after I finish working. How I would care for your pets: 1. Feeding: Regular Feeding Schedule: Feed your dog at the same times each day to establish a routine. 2. Exercise: Daily Walks: Ensure your dog gets at least one to two walks per day, tailored to their energy levels. 3. Playtime: Engage in play with toys, fetch, or other activities to keep your dog mentally and physically stimulated. And anything else you would like me to do.

I have a fenced yard that my dog loves to run around in. My dog is friendly towards other dogs. He is also neutered and well trained.

“Shannon was bright and friendly with Bretta, who took to her immediately. Bretta came home very happy to have had her long walks again. Shannon was easy to talk to and very accommodating as far as schedules go. Will definitely hire her again.”

About: I grew up in a home full of 5+ dogs at a single time! I have 8 years of experience in both the child care and pet sitting fields so I am extremely patient. For years I have used Rover myself to receive pet care for my own dog, so I understand the trust you will be putting in me. I will treat your fur-baby as one of my own while you are gone! I’m currently home full-time with my 3 year old son and our 9 year old dog! I have experience distributing medication and will follow your instructions meticulously! We have a home with a backyard for the dogs to play in! Brutus has a lot of toys and actually enjoys sharing them! Potty breaks can be every 0-2 or 2-4 hours, depending on what your puppy needs. Brutus is extremely friendly with different types of dogs but I can also separate them if that is what you request! Since I have a three year old son, I do require meet and greets before I pet sit any new dogs! I also require the dog to be gentle and have no prior aggression towards children. I only watch one dog, or multiple dogs from one home, at a time. I believe that trusting someone to watch your fur babies while you’re gone can be tough so I want to ensure that they have my full attention, love, and care!
About: Hi! My name is Sienna. I’ve been raised with dogs my whole life so I have much experience with dogs. I’ve been a dog sitter on many occasions for friends and on recommendation; long and short term stays. I’ve dog sat from puppies to older dogs and big to small dogs so I have dealt with a wide range of different doggies. I love dogs whole heartedly and would love to take care of yours!! I am currently unemployed and a college student mostly online. So I’ve much time to focus on your pet and give them the best care. I truly love dogs and all animals and would give your pet the utmost attention. I’ll do whatever you need for your pet to have the best care. If they do stay with me I have a large fenced in backyard with much room for them to play around. I’ll give your dog plenty of walks. I’ll of course follow any instructions you give to me. I hope you can put your trust in me and I’ll make sure to prove you can.
About: Caring for and sharing space with my fellow earthlings is in my DNA. I had the privilege of growing up with cats, dogs, reptiles, rodents, and fish as a kid. I've since cared for many puppers and felines (both elderly and young). I documented & created educational dog videos under the stewardship of the beloved Robin Wenham of "Wit's End Dog Training". I have experience with high-energy farm dogs that want to be taken on daily 3 to 8-mile hikes in the backcountry, as well as elderly dogs with special needs who need a lot of gentle TLC. I'm a nature-lover, and I intimately know most of the trails and parks in Placer County, so I'd love to take your pupper out on a gorgeous stroll through some of the most beautiful parts of this region. I currently have 3 fur babies myself (Taro, Auri, & Tensoon), and they are my family. My husband and I consider them our children. I believe in creating a Bond of Trust with animals involving positive reinforcement, patience, attentiveness, and, ultimately, compassion / empathy. We are lucky to share this planet with so many wonderful personalities. I believe that creating space for connection and play is not only beneficial for us humans, but for other animals and the planet as a whole. I am a photographer / videographer / social media manager. I am available any time Tuesday - Saturday, as I make my own hours and have freedom on those particular days. I have 3 darling adopted furry felines: Taro Sticky Bun (Baby Sweets), Auri (AKA Ducky Pudding), Tensoon (Mister Gentleman). My husband and I consider them our family, our children. We have thousands of photos of them and way too many made-up songs / jingles just for them. We adore all animals and often spend time walking or sitting our friends' puppers as well. I am Pupper Auntie to Jax, Mia, Ama, Rhiza, and Ari, and I adore them to pieces. I believe it is our prerogative to connect and play with all of our furry friends!

“Lainey loved her stay with Amanda! Amanda sent me lots of photos and kept in good communication. She took our dog out on walks and did lots of outside time with her. She was also flexible with pickup time for us!”

“Melissa and her family and pets were wonderful and took excellent care of my dog when I had to go out of town. She is easy to communicate with and sends regular updates which is appreciated. I can highly recommend her.”

I will definitely use Tale’A when we are back in the area. Thanks for taking such good care of my boy. If you are reading reviews looking for the best place to leave your pet Tale’A is the one you’re looking for. She’s the best.”

“Coco and Jeff were absolutely wonderful with my anxious dog. They had clear communication, were flexible with scheduling and very caring; My dog was more relaxed than she usually is after boarding. Would definitely highly recommend!”

“Whitney was great with our two big dogs, including our old guy who doesn’t hear or see well. She was super easy to work with and communicated easily. We would definitely board with her again!”

“Jennifer and family were great!! I think they went above and beyond to care for our dog Chewie while we were out of town for Thanksgiving. I would highly recommend her and will book her again when needed!! Thanks Jennifer💕”

“Sara was a great communicator and I felt like our dog was in good hands while we were away. I loved getting daily photos and updates. It was also reassuring knowing she’s a vet tech and could tend to anything concerning. Will definitely look to book again when need to be away.”

“Thank you Lisa for helping me with our 2 fur babies . They were very happy when I brought them back home . Lisa was very regular in her updates . She took good care of their food , play time and walk . I would recommend her care .🙏”

“Meeka first met Grant and his dogs at a meet and greet and she loved it there. She was very excited when we returned for the actual stay. While we were gone about a week, Grant faithfully sent us pictures and updates about how she was doing. We were very comforted to know she was having a blast running around the property with her new friends and well taken care of by Grant. We would highly recommend Grant and we will definitely take her there again.”
About: I grew up with dogs and had my own in early adulthood, but circumstances have been such that I can't have one of my own right now. That doesn't stop me from loving on dogs! I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, including those with special diets. I have a lot of flexibility at the moment and can be sure your dog gets walked early in the morning or in the evening to avoid the heat. I love to walk and will be happy to ensure your dog gets plenty of exercise. I have a fenced yard and no pets of my own. I have a doggy doorbell at the back door that many dogs learn to use when they want to go in or out.
“Samantha was fantastic with our babies. This is not your typical boarding place. She described it as summer camp for doggies and it is accurate. The area she has set up for the dogs is well thought-out, clean, and meets all of their needs and more. She took lots of pictures (different subject but her pictures were amazing), kept me updated throughout the day and let me know when my dogs were tucked in for the night. My city dogs got to meet horses, goats, and pigs and I think they had a great time, because they slept for so long when they got home. Im looking forward to their next summer camp with Samantha!”

“Sandra is amazing, she took such a good care of our puppy, she is caring and definitely loves dogs! We would 100% recommend her and we'll use her services every time from now on. Thank you Sandra!”

“Sharon is a great dog sitter, and I was especially blown away by her consistent and immediate responses to my messages. This allowed me to plan and modify plans seemlessly (which was important since I was going on a camping trip without cellular service). Their house also has a wonderful yard which was important since I have a hyper golden retriever. All in all I would definitely recommend Sharon as a dog sitter!”
