Our girls are very used to their normal daily routine but they seemed to adapt to Monique wonderfully! A very telling moment for me was when we got back from vacation and I picked the dogs up. Got the dogs in the car and they were very glad to see me but as soon as they realized we were leaving without Monique they were like: Wait! You forgot her! We had just adopted our abused shelter dog in December and this was his first time away from us. He was great with our boy Zorro! Robert sent lots of pictures and sent us videos of Zorro playing with his dogs. I could tell from all the pictures that Zorro was having a great time and was very comfortable. That was so reassuring because Zorro can be very shy. Robert has great communication and was super accommodating for me picking up the dog a little late. Robert loves dogs and understands them well. About: I've had the gift of house/pet sitting for over 10 years, and it is without a doubt the most rewarding job I've ever experienced! Personally, I've had dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, horses, and hermit crabs as pets, besides the odd rescued baby bird, bunny, or mouse. Mournfully, a few years ago, my dad and I had to part with our beloved Stevie. She was our close companion for over 15 years, and I still miss her immensely. Her quirks and routines still cross my mind, which brings all the things that made her unique and lovable up into my heart. Pet sitting warms my heart, and definitely fills the need that I still have for animal companionship (but without the heartbreak). Pet sitting is a way for me to have the joy of loving and caring for a pet in an empathetic way: in their own home, on their own schedule, stepping into their owner's (figurative) shoes for a bit, to make *everyone* more comfortable. About: Hi my name is Colleen! I have been around and loved animals my whole life. I offer full-time care and live on Vandenberg SFB. For the past three years, I managed a veterinary practice. “I was looking for a place for my dog to stay super last minute and found Robert. He was great at doing a last minute booking! We had just adopted our abused shelter dog in December and this was his first time away from us. He was great with our boy Zorro! Robert sent lots of pictures and sent us videos of Zorro playing with his dogs. I could tell from all the pictures that Zorro was having a great time and was very comfortable. That was so reassuring because Zorro can be very shy. Robert has great communication and was super accommodating for me picking up the dog a little late. Robert loves dogs and understands them well. Whenever I go out of town I will be contacting him first because it was such a pleasant experience for our dog and us.”

This was our first time using a pet sitter, so we were a bit nervous- but Lauren and her family made it such a positive, comforting experience. Lauren was incredibly communicative throughout the planning, and even during Duke's stay. Her family has a genuine love for animals- I can't even begin to overstate it. One of the sweetest moments? I came to pick Duke up from his sleepover and, as we were walking out the door, Duke actually walked back in just to say goodbye to the kids. That's how we knew he felt safe and happy there. We already have plans for Duke to have future sleepovers with Lauren and her family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a loving, responsible, and attentive pet sitter. About: I have been around dogs my entire life and have experience with both small and large breeds. I currently have two dogs of my own, a German Shepherd mix and an Australian Cattle Dog mix. As the owner of a reactive dog, I am experienced in handling reactive dogs. I also have experience working with high energy dogs, no dog is too much for me! I don’t have any pets myself so okay with dogs/cats that don’t like or can’t be around other animals 👍🏻 Available in Grover Beach for walking, boarding, house check ins, any pet related needs! I set my own work schedule, don’t tend to be away from home for more then a couple hours at a time, and I live with my grandmother who loves to sit and talk animals so they’ll get plenty of love and attention! About: I have had many types of pets. Such as fish, bunnies, turtles, bird, cats and a dog. I have took a few training classes on how to make my dog successful. She has many titles. She’s also an advanced trick dog. So I’m willing to teach any dog some tricks if wanted. Not only do I have experience but I’m also willing to be affordable to. I will work around your prices. Dont be afraid to ask Im a SAHM and have plenty of free time. I can do drop ins and walks in the weekends and daycare and boarding all week When doing drop ins in your home I will follow all instructions to care for your pets. I do positive reinforcement so leave your pups favorite treats out. Lots of attention and play will be provided
