About: I volunteered at Haven Humane Society in Redding for three years, where I gained a lot of experience caring for both cats and dogs. For dog walking, I’ll make sure your dog is secure on their leash and follow any instructions you have for their walks. My husband and I have used to her a few times while we have been out of town to give our 16 year old kitty her daily blood pressure medicine. Not only is she friendly and responsive towards people as well as reliable. She’s patient and kind with pets. My 16 year old girl who’s normally shy around strangers was at first shy around Melissa but has since warmed up that when it isn’t med time, she will greet her and let Melissa pet her for a few seconds (as is her nature she isn’t a kitty that likes being touched in general unless it’s on her terms) Melissa has her own two pets which I think helps with knowing how to read animal body language but also helps animals eventually trust her. I honestly couldn’t ask for a better pet sitter for the things I’ve asked of Melissa while we are away, if you ask politely and remember she to is a person. She delivers exceptionally!! I also clean and make sure the home is presentable and reasonably ready for their mom and/or Dad to get home so they do not have to worry about cleaning their mess. Or her own. If client is comfortable with that. Then I would do anything that was asked of me! I’m very punctual and respectful and take into account what the client needs not what I think they need. I am also a walker in my personal life and so I love adding dogs to the mix whenever loved ones go out of town! Additionally, I have a house with a fenced yard if you need a play for your pup to play. I know that dogs become a part of your family and so it takes a lot to trust someone with them, I assure you that your dog will be in caring and capable hands with me! I'm currently working from home and so I have a lot of availability to give your pet the attention they need! I also frequently take walks and have discovered quiet walking trails for the more anxious dogs. I do not have any pets or children of my own which makes my house an environment that is suitable to the various needs of different animals! I also have a fenced yard. My most prominent experience previously was with staying overnight in a home and so I also know what it looks like to honor the house rules for the dog and respect the home where I'm staying.

About: I’ve dog sat for family friends since the age of 18. Pet boarding, sitting, walking, and caring for them just like my own dogs! I’ve got 2 friendly and small dogs of my own! I work part time while in school, so I’m currently free on weekends, but will have more availability opening up in mid May through the summer months! I care for them just like my own! I have ample beds and toys and the dogs have a secluded space in my living room! I’m also able to crate or separate from my own dogs if needed.
