“Lauren was the best dog sitter that Snoopy could have asked for and we were lucky she was available on such short notice and willing to look after him for a little over a week. Snoopy is almost 15 years old and was recently seen by his cardiologist who prescribed him anti-nausea meds, tapering steroids for his cough, and an appetite stimulant for when he doesn’t want to eat. Snoopy also has had increasing incontinence issues and wears diapers while indoors. I needed to find someone to look after Snoopy while I traveled since his usual caretaker was not available, so I found Lauren on Rover and explained his health issues expecting that he might’ve been too much of a hassle. But Lauren was not fazed by any of Snoopy’s needs and immediately agreed to look after him. I went away on my trip with no concerns about his safety and Lauren periodically checked in with me to give me updates on Snoopy and sent me pictures to show me how well he was doing. I will definitely be booking with Lauren for my next trip – I even learned a few things from her about how to alleviate his coughing! We are very pleased with her outstanding quality of care!!”

“Jennifer was great with my girl Frankie!! I was so scared to leave her because it was my first time leaving her with anyone besides family. I know Frankie was well taken care of, I enjoyed all the pictures I would get of her!!”

“Nalani is a great pet sitter. My cats were well taken care of, and I received updates throughout their stay. I returned from my trip to find them happy, healthy, and reluctant to leave. Would recommend Nalani to anyone in need of boarding a pet!”

“This is our second time working with randi (first time was for our cat which was also great). We boarded our dog with randi over the weekend and he did wonderfully with her and Dixie. He got lots of love, attention, playtime and overall just seemed genuinely happy when we picked him up. Randi also sent us home with some homemade doggie treats! Randi is an amazing person and we will be using her from here on out. Thanks randi!”

“My Kash couldn’t have been in better hands loved the picture updates I received as it was my first time leaving him anywhere. I felt reassured his whole stay there. Will definitely be booking again now that I have someone I can trust with my fur baby.”

“This was the best pet sitter we have ever had and gosh have we had a bunch as we travel alot. We got picture updates every few hours, got to see how comfortable our girl was even when she was nervous to leave us, and she even took her with no hesitation after knowing our babe might go into heat! There will never be a question again as to who we leave our girl with! If you don't choose Dominie, you're settling for second best!”

“Thank you to Shanna and her family for taking care of Khio for us 😊 I really appreciated you being so accommodating with drop off/pick up times changing! Also thank you for getting my picky dog to eat her dinner! I will be visiting town more often so I’m happy to have such a great family care for our baby girl! 😊”

“We booked in River last week for the first time for a day and he enjoyed it! He was happy, comfortable with Liz which made me feel comfortable to leave my fur baby with her. He had such a good time that we were comfortable to book him for an overnight stay. And again we were very happy because ww got continuous updates and photos showing us that our dog was fine. And he was. Thank you Liz for putting me and my family at ease, taking care of River for us.💙🐶.”

About: I’ve been working with all kinds of dog breeds and temperaments for 5 years. Having been a training and using my knowledge on how to build solid foundation and structure to have trust, respect and love from the dogs that I have come to meet. I’m available the majority of the week. This gives me opportunity to have the dogs socialize in groups or on walks during the day. I can drop off or pick up at an owners home if I’m able to, but I’m also open to meet people half way if it makes things easier. Depending on the group I may have that day, I like to have them all in a play group. After I enjoy taking them on walks around the neighborhood or depending giving field trips to the park since I live close by. In the afternoon they get a nap time, usually if they get lunch I wait for them to rest before they revive their food. When nap time is over they return outside, back into play groups. Then the process repeats where they get another nap time, play time and then dinner if they receive one. I am also available to work around a specific routine or schedule may have for their own dog. My goal at the end of the day is for the dogs to receive good exercise, enriching social time and enjoy their rest period. A tired dog is a happy dog. Understanding that each dog is different and not all dogs have the same energy level, I try and give each dog the right amount attention they deserve to make them feel fulfilled and happy.
“Bri was Great! She did really well with Charlie and Charlie really liked her and her family. I would definitely recommend her to anybody that asked me. I really like that she sent me updates and pictures it made my away from home much more comfortable.”

About: I am on Kern County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team, I am fingerprinted and background vetted. So your animals and property would be well protected. I have taken care of animals of every kind since I was a young girl. I also worked at a veterinary hospital while I was in high school, which fueled my passion for animals. Family, friends and neighbors have all relied on me to take care of their beloved pets. Whether it's dropping dogs off at my home or me staying at their house to provide a calming, reassurance to your pet while they were gone. I am currently retired. So I have plenty of time to look in on your pet, take them for walks, give them love and nuzzles. Or just come and peek in on them and make sure they have plenty of food and water and that they are okay. Some animals that I take care of do not care for people to stick around in their home. So I just check on them several times a day and make sure they're doing okay. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to play with your pups and keep them active. I can easily create if need be.
“Lauren was an absolutely incredible. Needed a last minute doggy sitter for a few hours while in town and she responded immediately. She took great care of my dog and removed a few stickers he got during our hike. Will definitely use again.”

“Dominie took good care of our baby boy. She sent updates with pictures throughout his stay. We had peace of mind knowing he was in goods hands 😊 we will be hiring Dominie again!!”

About: Tucked away in the mountains, my off-grid home is more than just a boarding space—it’s a peaceful, nurturing retreat where both dogs and cats can feel safe, understood, and truly at home. I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by animals, and caring for them is second nature to me. Maybe it’s the Leo in me, but I’ve always been drawn to the independent, curious nature of cats, just as much as the loyalty and energy of dogs. I take the time to get to know each animal individually—their quirks, their comforts, and their communication style—because no two are the same. Whether they need adventure, structure, play, or just a quiet place to rest, I tailor their stay to what suits them best. My own pack includes two amazing dogs, both of whom I’ve raised since they were pups—an Australian Kelpie who thrives on activity and focus, and a Husky/Malamute mix who loves adventure just as much as I do. I also have two incredibly special cats, Face and Lilith. Face, my shadow and best friend, was once a wary barn cat who took 1.5 years to trust me. Now, he hikes with me and my dogs, showing an adaptability I’ve never seen in another cat. Lilith, my Hemingway cat, appeared as a tiny, helpless kitten in the woods and has since grown into a thriving, playful companion. Recently, I also took on the challenge of caring for and finding homes for 21 puppies all at once—an experience that reinforced my deep commitment to the well-being of every animal that comes into my care. For dogs, my home offers the perfect mix of adventure and comfort, with plenty of space to roam, explore, and play. For cats, I provide a dedicated, dog-free space downstairs, designed just for them, complete with padded, cloth-covered shelves, sunlit lounging spots, and plenty of enrichment to keep them engaged. Cats are never let outside unless specifically requested by their owner, ensuring their safety. Whether you have a dog who thrives on companionship and outdoor adventure or a cat who craves quiet comfort and personalized care, my home is a place where they will be loved, understood, and cared for like family. I do have a large fenced back yard which is behind expanded currently. Pet care isn’t just something I do—it’s fully integrated into my daily life. Living off-grid and working from home means I don’t have a traditional 9-to-5 schedule, so my time revolves around the animals in my care. From the moment I wake up, I’m tending to their needs—letting dogs out to stretch their legs in the fresh mountain air, preparing meals tailored to each pet, and making sure everyone feels comfortable and at ease. Throughout the day, I engage with them in ways that suit their personalities—whether it’s a long hike through the woods for high-energy dogs, quiet companionship for more relaxed pets, or interactive play for curious cats. Because I’m always home, no animal is ever left alone for long. I have the flexibility to adapt to their needs in real-time, whether it’s providing extra comfort for a nervous newcomer or giving an active pup the extra exercise they crave. At night, every pet settles in safely, knowing they are in a warm, loving environment. Caring for animals isn’t a job I clock in and out of—it’s simply my way of life. Exercise and outdoor time are a big part of my daily routine. I take my dog for runs or walks multiple times a day, exploring the beautiful mountain trails and giving them the movement they need. If your dog enjoys exercise and adventure, I’d be happy to include them in these outings, ensuring they get plenty of physical activity and enrichment. Whether they prefer a leisurely stroll or a high-energy run, I tailor the experience to match their needs and comfort level. If your pet has special needs—such as medication, a specific feeding routine, or any other care requirements—I’m happy to integrate that into my daily schedule. Every animal is different, and I make sure to accommodate their unique needs so they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for during their stay.
“I had a great experience with Adriana today. This was my dog first experience in a day care and I was worried. Adriana send me pictures and videos during my doggy care and I felt better. I will recommend Adriana with my friends.”

“This was first time leaving my dog. I was a little nervous since we were in town for my husbands work so I was not familiar with the area, people or just leaving him. Nalani did a great job making it comfortable for me. I took my dog to her two days and it was such a great experience. He did well and Nalani gave him lots of attention. Thank you so much for taking care of my fur baby while we were in town. I highly recommend her.”

“Shannon did great with our GSD! She was very communicative with pictures and updates. She was so sweet and understanding with our anxious puppy and he ended up loving her! I would totally recommend her and will continue to use her for our baby.”

“I used Summer’s daycare service while I was in town for work. She was helpful and her pup played with mine. She was available on short notice and sent pics of my pup. Will rebook again when I return.”

About: I am a Fear Free certified veterinary technician of 13 years who grew up in the show dog world (AKC) before getting into rescue as an adult. Throughout my long-lived animal career I have participated in puppy/kitten/basic obedience training, behavioral rehabilitation, dog sport training, senior care, care for animals with extreme medical needs, and owned/operated a group play doggie daycare. My jobs, hobbies, and passions are all centered around animals and I can't wait to bring that passion to you! I am home full-time, and available for puppies and animals with heavy needs. I have a fairly set schedule for all of the pets in my care, and that level of routine provides comfort to even the most nervous of pups. I am the only Fear Free pet carer in Bakersfield! I provide comforting classical music as well as calming pheromones in the sleeping spaces to make their stay as stress-free as possible. I have a fenced yard and never leave dogs together unsupervised. I do not provide an environment suitable for animals with a history of dog aggression. Small dogs I can be more flexible with, as their attitude usually comes from a place of fear and that is something I can work with for the little guys.

About: I’m a dedicated 21 year old dog lover who currently cares for two rescued female puppies. They are friendly and fixed :) Raising young shelter dogs has given me hands-on experience with puppy routines, socialization, basic training, exercise, and lots of patience. I understand the importance of consistency, positive reinforcement, and creating a safe, comfortable environment for pets. Growing up, I also owned a Chihuahua and spent time dog walking for others ever since I was a kid, which helped me learn how to work with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’m comfortable with active puppies, shy dogs, and dogs that need extra attention and reassurance. What sets me apart is that I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your dog needs playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply a caring companion while you're away, I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I currently work part-time as a delivery driver, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to stay close to home throughout the day. Because of that, I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. I care for my own two young dogs every day, so pet care is already a major part of my routine. When I'm not working, I spend time walking, training, playing with, and caring for them. My flexible schedule allows me to adjust my day around the needs of the pets in my care and make sure they receive the attention, supervision, and affection they deserve. Safety is my top priority when caring for pets. In my home, dogs have access to a large, securely fenced yard where they can play, exercise, and explore safely under supervision. I also have a large crate available for dogs who are crate-trained or need a quiet place to relax. If a dog needs their own space, I can separate them using a dog gate and provide a comfortable area in my home where they can rest safely. I always monitor interactions between pets and make sure each dog is comfortable and stress-free. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions. I believe consistency helps pets feel secure and comfortable while their owners are away. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and caring environment where every pet feels at home.
“Karla Michelle took wonderful care of my dog Rhonda! My dog is anxious around new people but she was safe and cared for when she stayed with Karla. About: I'm definitely an animal magnet...I love being around animals. I will love and spoil them as if they are my own furbabies! They will never be left alone. I was born and raised around dogs and cats. I can’t imagine not having any furbabies in my home. I’d be lost. They are so loyal furbabies. I'm very flexible with my schedule. I'm usually available most of the time. I can do weekends and on Holiday, too. Just DM me! 🐶🐈🐾 My front and backyard are fenced and I do have a rail in the backyard for older dogs to walk down to go potty. I can definitely play with them while outside or even give them lots of cuddles! They will remain indoors with me at all times. I don’t believe in leaving them outside. That’s how spoiled they’d be if I was to babysit them. ♥️♥️

I have been taking care of all types of animals especially dogs and cats since as far back as I can remember! I love caring for all types of animals and have references. Your fur baby will be well taken care of with frequent walks and play time! I tailor my care to your fur baby’s specific needs. I am also experienced in giving medicine. Thank you for taking the time to read this and best of luck in finding the right fit for your fur baby. I’m currently devoting myself to animal care full time so I am very flexible and can work with most schedules! Please feel free to reach out with any questions! Every animal is unique so I tailor my schedule and the fur baby’s schedule with what the owner/fur parent prefers and based on each baby’s needs. I do encourage play time - plenty of walks and lovings.

About: Welcome to my profile! Growing up in a lively household filled with both dogs and a variety of other animals, I developed a profound love and understanding of animal behavior from a young age. With over five years of professional dog-sitting experience, I've cared for breeds of all sizes and temperaments, ensuring each pup receives the attention and affection they deserve. My unique upbringing has equipped me with the skills to manage not just dogs, but also other pets, making me a versatile caregiver who can provide a safe and nurturing environment for your furry family member. Your pet's well-being is my top priority, and I can't wait to meet them! I'm currently working from home, and occasionally watching other dogs, but my availability is COMPLETELY OPEN, and am happy to help out whenever needed! This includes daytime, nighttime, weekends, holidays, multiple-days, you name it! I have a pretty decent sized apartment, that's CLEANED & SANITIZED DAILY, has AC/HEAT, non-smoking, and always has some toys, blankets, and sanitized food/water bowls ready, just in case the owner doesn't bring them. I also take the pets outside quite frequently, as much as possible honeslty! Also, not just to potty, but to explore the neighborhood, RUN for extended periods of time, and to constantly practice/improve use of commands, and healthy interactions with other people/pets/stimulation we may encounter along the way!

About: I was gifted my first dog on Christmas when I was 4 years old and learned to care and love him all his life. I’ll always remember my dog Chocolate as the best Christmas ever that also was the best gift I’ve ever received. He taught me to appreciate and love animals and to care for them accordingly. I cared for a family members pregnant dog and helped her give birth to her 6 puppies and care for them for the diary 3 weeks of there lives. It was truly an experience that I learned a lot from and made me a better care giver. Pet care and having routines are very important as a caregiver. I understand that it is my responsibility to care for the pets and to me sure I plan accordingly for my schedule to fit this position. Currently I have a lot of availability as a current college grad. I’m looking into pet care because it gives me the opportunity to do what I love, care for pets. I am able to work most weekends and holidays as well as weekdays. I care for pets in my home and in there owners homes by giving them the best of me and my attention. I make sure they are well cared for by feeding, playing with them as well as always having water for them to drink and go on walks if requested.

About: I have dealt with many different pet personalities and genuinely care about their needs. I aim to give your four-legged friends the attention they deserve. I believe that a dog should have the ability to see what outside looks like, and visit different areas such as parks. I also believe that all pets act a certain way for a reason, and shouldn't be yelled at, or treated badly if they aren't 'easy-going' or 'social'. Personally, my love for pets started when I got my first dog as five years old. Named him Rocky after the boxer, Rocky Balboa. Unfortunately, he passed away two years ago from old age. He was blind, but he still recognized my voice...which was pretty amazing. Rocky showed me that a dog could truly be a man's best friend. I pledge to give the upmost care to your best friend. I currently work from home, so I will have plenty of time to play, walk, and give your pet the love they need while you’re away. I will carefully review your instructions in order to provide the best and safest environment for your pet(s). My services will be provided at a level that gives you and your pet maximum comfort.

“First time leaving our one year old rowdy boy Lance. Breanna sent videos and checked in with us. Our dog looks like he had the time of his life !!! Not sure he'll want to be home. Totally recommend Breanna. We will definitely use her again.”

“Adriana is the best pet sitter I have ever known. She spoils my dog, gives him treats, and bathes him before I pick him up. I would highly recommend Adriana for any of your pet care needs.”

“Alondra was an amazing sitter! If she's willing, I hope to use her again to watch Milo in the future. Booking was a breeze and the meet and greet went so well. Milo was well taken-care-of. Photos and videos were provided several times a day which was appreciated by my family. There are great walking areas near Alondra's residence which makes her a perfect pet sitter! Our family is so grateful for her fantastic care!”

“Veronica was a gem to work with. She was very sweet and gentle with my dog. She communicated quickly and clearly and I had no issues whatsoever with her. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Haley did an excellent job caring for my high energy dog. My dog was actually tired when she got home and smelled good too! Haley has a calm, caring demeanor and was very flexible with drop-off/pick-up times. It is a huge plus that Haley has other little dogs for my dog to play with. I would definitely book with Haley again.”
“Akie took such good care of my buddy! She sent me messages and pictures so I knew he was doing great and having fun. He came home happy and tired. I will definitely use her again!”

“I'm just back after 3 days away for a New Years getaway. I left my girl Mila with Kristen and her beautiful dog Aleutia. No one told me I'd miss my dog this much... But Kristen must have known, she sent me pics of Mila and updates and really put my heart at ease. Thank you Kristen, cheers, until we see you guys again.”
