About: **I don't charge for additional pets!! I’ve always been an animal enthusiast growing up in the country I did whatever I could to be around animals constantly. In our home we had four dogs, two hamsters, a corn snake, a half-blind horse, countless hermit crabs, and a parakeet. There is truly no animal I don't love and won't do my best to care for. Growing up with these animals I've had the privilege to be there when they were puppies/kittens/babies all the way through the end of their life, so I have extensive experience with care in every life stage. I've carried that love and passion with me into adulthood. As an adult I've worked for a year as a kennel technician at a humane society enriching, socializing, training, and advocating for dogs, cats, and small animals. I also regularly volunteer time at humane societies when I can and regularly foster cats, to date I've successfully fostered over 10 cats who are now all in happy homes. Through fostering I've experienced some harder care cases. Including fostering 3 week old sick kittens requiring syringe feedings, multiple medications, and detailed weight tracking. I've also had the privilege of fostering a hospice case who required food, liquid, and medication administration through an e-tube along with extensive monitoring. I have extensive knowledge of dog behavior and welfare, and am able to confidently care for many different types of personalities. I will start veterinary school in the fall, and plan to fit visits in around my class schedule. I commute from Esparto to Davis/Woodland daily and am easily able to make stops anywhere near this commute. I believe in keeping pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routine and following given instructions as closely as possible. I operate under the principle that as a sitter, I should do everything (and more) for someone else’s pet that I would expect a sitter to do for my own pets.

About: I am home all day with my little pup and she would love a playmate and a sniffing buddy on her walks. We enjoy the local dog parks and never repeat the same walks twice in a row. She is very good about sharing her toys. I have always had large dogs so I’m quite comfortable with them as well. My yard is only partially bounded with hedges. So all potty breaks are accomplished with walks on leash. Or at either of the 2 off leash fenced dog parks here. I have experience giving oral medication with or without food as prescribed. And I only give bones under constant supervision on chew mat. It will be taken away at the end of the chew session. I am home all day with my pup and would like to care for dogs that we can fold into our routine of 3 walks a day. We hit the dog parks at least twice a day. I can only work with socialized dogs who behave and walk well on a leash. For overnight stays, they must be able to sleep on their own bed/crate. All my furniture is slipcovered so dogs are welcome to nap on the couch if they want. The whole house is hardwood floors and no stairs inside. I normally feed my dog 3 times a day and do not leave food out all day - just water is available all day. Treats are only used during training sessions or as rewards for doing something - a trick, a bath … etc
