Without asking, Sara took the initiative sending updates and images of Kona throughout her stay. Sara quickly replied to my inquiries before and during Kona's stay. One of the reasons why I initially chose Sara, was the experience she listed as working in a veterinary's office and the fact that she put together a very thorough bio describing her background in working with animals. I was initially considering a kennel in Arroyo Grande but was concerned that being in a large kennel environment would be hard on a senior dog like my Kona. With Sara's veterinary experience, she felt that a quieter home environment would be easier on a senior dog, without me bringing up this concern of mine. About: I've taken care of dogs in some capacity since I was young. Everything from overnight/multi-day boarding, month long, and walks for young dogs and old dogs. I grew up with a dog of mine own who was deaf so have experience with challenging dogs as well. My husband also has lived with dogs (hunting labs) his entire life. My husband and I just moved from Chicago to the Central Coast. I working full-time remote from home so am very flexible with walks and care. The most I might be out of the home during the week is 2-3 hours and on the weekend maybe 5-6 (but can be flexible in limiting that if a dog is staying with us). We have a small fenced in deck on our and then a larger outdoor space. We live in an easily walkable neighborhood and about a mile away from a dog park.

About: I’ve had experience with every animal from exotics and reptiles to the more common pet like cats and dogs! I used to train colts but now manage my funny farm. I currently work full time but am available at least two full days a week and 18 hours a day 3 days a week with a flexible schedule! I have a fenced yard as well as an outdoor kennel and miles of open fields to provide ample entertainment for your most adventurous pet! Or we can chill inside with centralized air conditioning.

There is an enclosed fenced locked area here that I am able to access to allow the dogs to run and play off leash. It’s not a dog park so there will not be other dogs there. It’s basically a private area and the all the dogs love it! It’s about 75 yards in length & approximately 20 feet wide . All grass. We also take walks to the pool where there’s a rock jacuzzi and lots of grass around the pool. Dogs are welcome to be there with me on their leash and they all seem to really enjoy it . Your dogs safety is my priority.
