“Krissy took amazing care of my sweet 16 year old Gordy. He does have cancer and needs medication 2x day, and Krissy was able to keep him on his schedule with medicine and food. Also I loved the daily pictures as I knew he was doing well. It is hard to leave your senior pet with someone else but with Krissy I felt he was well taken care of and overall at ease. Would definitely recommend and rebook if the need arises. Supper grateful with the overall process and got my sweet baby back in good health.”
About: I have been a dog owner since childhood and grew up in farm country Wisconsin so animals have a fond place in my heart. “All I can say is WOW! This was my first time using Rover and it was absolutely incredible. I expect this was a rare Rover experience - because we seriously could not have asked for more. My girlfriend and I were in town for a weekend getaway and wanted to check out some non dog-friendly wineries during the afternoon/evening on a Saturday. We saw Amanda's listing and crossed our fingers with our last minute Friday night booking. Amanda responded within the hour letting us know she would be happy to watch over him for the day. Her communication was professional and her availability flexible. Let me tell you... Amanda's place is an absolute wonderland for an adventure dog. She has a ton of property for your dog to run around on ... and animals galore! Our husky (Myth) got to meet horses, donkeys, ostriches, cats, chickens ... and more! This was an amazing experience for him (as a city dog that only gets to play with other dogs at the dog park). I can't imagine another scenario where he would have got to interact and play with such a diverse array of animals. Amanda clearly knows how to handle animals as well. She briefed us on her background training and handling all sorts of different animals and then backed it up with hourly videos showing us a new trick she had taught Myth - or a fun picture/video of Myth playing with one of her other animals (shoutout to her new dog Anakin who is an absolute good boy and new best friend of Myth's). She even asked us if it was okay to take Myth to the dog park. Her communication during Myth's stay helped us relax while out and about. She is clearly an animal lover to the core. If I'm being honest I'm pretty sure Myth would have been happy to stay on Amanda's ranch forever. 10/10 experience ... and her rate is super reasonable for the amazing experience your dog is going to get under her care. Thank you Amanda.”

About: I've taken care of dogs in some capacity since I was young. Everything from overnight/multi-day boarding, month long, and walks for young dogs and old dogs. I grew up with a dog of mine own who was deaf so have experience with challenging dogs as well. My husband also has lived with dogs (hunting labs) his entire life. My husband and I just moved from Chicago to the Central Coast. I working full-time remote from home so am very flexible with walks and care. The most I might be out of the home during the week is 2-3 hours and on the weekend maybe 5-6 (but can be flexible in limiting that if a dog is staying with us). We have a small fenced in deck on our and then a larger outdoor space. We live in an easily walkable neighborhood and about a mile away from a dog park.

Dog walking, dog bathing, giving dogs medicine both oral and injections. Special and unique feeding instructions. I am highly experienced with caring for homes. I am not the type to sit around. When your canine babies /pets are napping or relaxing. I typically like to clean , do laundry , change sheets If permitted. I like to care for your home while you are away so you feel at ease while traveling. I know from my own experiences with travelling, it's very nice to return home to a tidy , freshly cleaned home. My goal is for you to have as little as stress as possible upon your return. Per some of my clients requesting have cleaned out the food in their refrigerators and ordered all fresh food for them to return home to. Most people love this because it's one less errand to do after returning from a vacation or time away from the home. It's a nice convenience and it's my pleasure to do this for my clients. I am experienced in managing your home while you are away please feel free to create a list of "to do's" that may need to be taken care of. I'm very protective and aware of our surroundings. I wash all the sheets& blankets daily to keep their relaxing /sleep areas fresh , clean & as sanitized as possible. I vacuum & Swiffer the floors to remove the pet hairs to keep the environment as clean & fresh as I can. Helps me too with allergies! Lol. My focus is on giving your pet the best care & with lots of love. So far all of my pet guests have bonded well with me & tend to stick by my side. I really miss them when they go home. I have cozy throw blankets , dog bed,( always washed , sanitized & fresh ) lots of toys, bully sticks, balls, rope toy , healthy treats, bowls for food & water. When we go outside to play, potty and walks I always have your pet on a leash for their safety & protection. There is an enclosed fenced locked area here that I am able to access to allow the dogs to run and play off leash. It’s not a dog park so there will not be other dogs there. It’s basically a private area and the all the dogs love it! It’s about 75 yards in length & approximately 20 feet wide . All grass. We also take walks to the pool where there’s a rock jacuzzi and lots of grass around the pool. Dogs are welcome to be there with me on their leash and they all seem to really enjoy it . Your dogs safety is my priority.

I am however able to watch cats in my home! I'm able to check in on your living pets throughout the day and take your pup/pups on long walks. And spend quality time with her/him while you are away. I work really hard give them the most attention and care that I know can be hard for a lot of full time working pet owners. I make sure my availability is as open as possible to help anyone in need just send me a message at any time and I will respond ASAP. Walks are 1 hour sometimes more and may include a small amount of leash training (I refuse to be heavily pulled around and know plenty of tricks to take control) lots of attention and love is given to the animal to make them feel as safe and cared for as possible. In homes we will play lots of games to keep them occupied and hopefully tuckered out and ready for bed by the time parents get back.

About: I’ve been caring for all kinds of animals since I was 10, from dog sitting and overnight stays to taking care of horses. I’ve also helped raise and puppy train through Freedom Service Dogs. I’m comfortable with animals of all kinds and genuinely love getting to know each one! I am currently in school at cal poly so every day my schedule varies with a maximum of 4 hours of class a day, but I will be able to be home throughout the day and able to spend the majority of every day with your pet. I don’t have any pets in the home with me while at school although i miss my own so much, so I would just focus on taking care of your pet and loving it like it’s my own. I don’t have a yard but would be able to frequently take for a long walks to a park or short potty breaks to any grass area near me.
