About: I’ve taken care of dogs and owned my own for over 30 years. I’ve house trained my own dogs from puppy stage to senior age. I currently own a Siberian Husky and care for two additional huskies. I enjoy brushing, playing and bathing them. I’m retired and pretty much available all week, unless I leave to visit family. My schedule is very flexible although I do have a feeding routine for my own dog (am and pm). I have a decent size yard that is fenced. I have a 4 year old Siberian Husky who is very friendly and loves to play. I do crate dogs if they get out of hand and need timeouts. I allow dogs inside and outside. I’ve been around dogs my entire life and treat them like part of the family.

“Rocky can be a picky dog, with humans and dogs. When I dropped him off for daycare I was so nervous that he wouldn’t play nice and would wreak havoc. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I picked him up and they said he did great. By the time we got home, he was snoring away. Jill and Liz did great with Rocky and he will definitely be back! Big plus for sending me a photo after about 30 minutes assuring me he was fine :)”

“Shanna is great. She has been patient and collaborative in planning for my Roxie's care. We had a meet and greet, then a short daycare stay, then a full day of daycare. She is well versed in dog behavior. My dog, coincidentally a "pitbull type" is often categorized and judged as "vicious or aggressive" even before people meet her. I've had dog sitters on Rover decline to provide services simply because of her breed or her appearance. Shanna understands that Roxie is a dog: a dog with her own level of prey drive (so Roxie is not allowed in her daughter's room cause of the hamster she has); a dog with some anxiety who barked at her husband when he came into the house. They didn't freak out. Shanna understood Roxie's behavior and worked through it, allowing Roxie to get to know her husband, settle and move on. I truly appreciate her family's openness and acceptance. We have two more full days of daycare booked and if all continues well, we will book boarding services. Roxie is people and dog friendly, but the discrimination we have experienced on Rover, leads me to take things in a new daycare/boarding situation slowly. About: I’m 20 years old with a career path of becoming a veterinarian. I have lots of experience with dogs, as I have two of my own, and I’m a really big animal person. I typically watch over friends’ and family’s dogs, which I have a blast doing. I like going to dog parks and going on runs, as I’m a very active person. I have experience with drop-ins, making sure they are fed, played with, and well taken care of. I also have experience With overnight stays! I’m a very flexible and spontaneous person! My schedule is three things: school, part-time work, and the gym. Making time to care for, feed, walk, and play with animals is no problem.
