About: Hi my name is Colleen! I have been around and loved animals my whole life. I offer full-time care and live on Vandenberg SFB. For the past three years, I managed a veterinary practice. Because of this background, I am very familiar with the diverse medical and behavioral needs of dogs, cats, and horses. I am a huge dog and cat lover - at home, I have a German Shepherd and a Goldendoodle who get daily walks and lots of cuddles. Because I work from home full-time, any animal in my care will receive constant attention and supervision. I am also a very active person, so you can count on your pets getting plenty of playtime and exercise. My home is completely child-free, and visiting pets are absolutely allowed on the furniture to make them feel right at home. Additionally, I live on the military base, making it easy and convenient for me to accommodate both on-base and off-base families. I work a flexible remote schedule that allows me to be fully available for full-time care. If your little guy stay over he will have access to all my own has access to which is ALL AREAS of the home. We have a sunroom that has a doggie door as well which they can come in and out, i have a fence backyard. At night time they would sleep indoors or in the sunroom with the doggie door closed for the night.

Your dogs can be walked and exercised if need be, or your pet can lounge around and take time off I can care for your animal at anytime just need 24 hour notice. Please be courtesy as I can only account for so many dogs, but I’ll try my best to accompany you and your families needs . I have a large backyard that’s fenced in, a lot of shade, and plenty of room to roam and explore. Your dog will be treated with love and respect.

I have worked with dogs for over three years, including experience at a pet resort where I was responsible for supervising and caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. My experience includes feeding, administering routine care, monitoring behavior and well-being, maintaining clean and safe environments, providing exercise and enrichment, and making sure each pet receives plenty of individual attention. I also have experience working in a grooming facility, which helped me become comfortable handling dogs with different temperaments and needs. In addition to dogs and cats, I have extensive experience caring for horses and other livestock, so I am confident working with both small and large animals. Animal care is something I take very seriously. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pets with someone else, so my goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. I am attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, and overall well-being, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. I am will be starting school at Cal Poly in the fall studying animal science. I do have a job at a dog kennel but have long enough breaks to be able to check on the dogs and I work about 3-4 days a week. I ensure all the animals have the proper amount of food everyday, along with making sure they have enough water. If there is no doggy door I let the animals out as frequently as needed. I always make sure they have lots of walks, playtime, and cuddles.
