After meeting a few sitters, our dog immediately connected with Susan—and since Mochi only gives cuddles to very special people, I knew she was the one. We boarded Mochi with Susan for a few nights while we were away, and she was incredibly attentive to her needs. She took her on daily walks, played lots of ball with her—Mochi is a serious ball-aholic—and, most importantly, loved her like her own. She also sent updates and photos, which meant so much to us. About: We have a large home with a very safe fenced backyard. Lot’s of grass to play & run. We are recently retired & your dog will be loved like our own. Our 2 Papillon's Bella & Mia passed away @ 14 & 15 years old. We have decided to love our Rover dogs & not get another dog of our own for now. Cuddling on the couch for some cozy time is enjoyed by all. Your dog will never be left alone. With two of us there is always someone home. We have become small dog specialists & only care for the smaller ones. Senior care is no problem. We have a lot of experience with older dogs of our own & Rover parents trusting us with their care. We have a soft spot in our hearts for dogs & treat them like family. We look forward to giving you updates through pictures and texts while you’re away. Whenever my family and friends get new pets or when I have met them for the first time, the dogs and cats quickly take a liking to me, warm up to me and bond with me, often following me around and coming to me when they want to be fed or let in and out of the house. I’ve hosted an energetic, medium-sized mixed breed dog in my home for a full month, providing daily exercise, structure, and lots of attention. I’ve also cared for two Shih Tzus for a week-long stay, managing their routines, meals, and comfort needs. In addition to boarding, I’ve done house sitting and check-in visits, ensuring pets are well cared for in their own environment. I’m attentive, reliable, and focused on keeping pets happy, safe, and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m currently a student at Santa Barbara City College, with classes Monday through Thursday. My schedule is light—usually just one or two classes a day—so I have plenty of free time to dedicate to pet care throughout the day. I’m able to plan my routine around walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins, making sure each pet gets consistent attention and care. My flexible schedule allows me to be reliable and present, whether it’s for daily visits, extended stays, or overnight care. I tailor my care to each pet’s routine so they feel comfortable and secure, whether they’re in my home or their own. In my home, I provide a safe, clean, and calm environment with plenty of attention, regular walks, playtime, and a consistent feeding schedule. I make sure pets get lots of affection and stick as closely as possible to their usual routine. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable in their familiar space. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding, walks, medications if needed, and maintaining their normal schedule. I also keep the home tidy, provide updates, and make sure pets feel relaxed and well cared for while their owner is away.
About: I’ve cared for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies to sweet senior dogs. I completed over 500 hours of professional training, including the C.F.B.I. Dog Training Camp, the AVBM Veterinary Behavior Master Course, and 33 classes on senior pet care. I’m patient, calm, and experienced with shy pets, basic training, and positive reinforcement. I’m currently changing my career path, which gives me plenty of time to care for pets. I’m available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after 3pm, and on all other days after 11am for walks, drop-ins, sitting, and boarding. For other times or special services, I’m happy to discuss and accommodate when possible. I provide a safe, loving, and clean environment for pets. When caring for them in your home, I follow all instructions closely and keep pets comfortable. I can administer medication, monitor health, and ensure they feel secure. At my own home, I live in a beautiful community with plenty of grassy areas perfect for walks. There’s also a dog park right across the street, where dogs can stretch their legs, enjoy the fresh air, and get some fun exercise in a spacious, safe environment.
