Im currently a student at Chico State so I have plenty of time after classes and school. I have plenty of time to walk and play with your pets after 2pm on most weekdays. About: Hi my name is Courtney, I am a Bakersfield resident and currently work part time around the corner from my house. I’ve been dog sitting friends dogs the last few years to help them out, this year I’ve been dog sitting for friends of friends. Since I have the time I wanted to provide my dog sitting services to others who are in need of a sitter since I enjoy it and it feels like second nature. I am currently working part time and have plenty of time to care for your pup. I will walk, and provide plenty of pets for your fur baby. About: I grew up on a farm and have always taken care of cats, dogs, turtles, and chickens. I live in an apartment with 3 girls and one cat (his name is pumpkin and he is a big kind boy!) I’m a very active person, walking and running whenever I get the chance. I’m used to having a household full of animals so I’d love to meet all your pets! I am a full time student but I have no classes Friday-Sunday. I am available early mornings and evenings most days for check-ins or walks! I live next door to a park where the animals can play while also being near the SU campus for great walks! Although I live with 3 girls, my apartment is spacious and they all love animals.

I’m also comfortable being consistent with routines like medication schedules, exercise, and keeping the pet’s environment clean and safe. Overall, I treat pet care like a real responsibility, not something I “fit in” when convenient I structure my time around it to make sure the pet stays comfortable and cared for. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping the pet’s routine as normal and stress free as possible. I follow the instructions exactly as provided feeding schedule, portion sizes, walk times, medication (if any), and any specific behavior or care notes about the pet. For daily care, I make sure the pet gets attention, exercise, and interaction, not just basic needs. That can include walks, playtime, accidents if needed, refreshing water, and making sure the home is kept tidy and secure while I’m there. I’m also careful about safety double checking doors, gates, leashes, and making sure pets don’t get into anything they shouldn’t. I pay attention to how the pet is acting so I can notice any changes in mood, appetite, or behavior and communicate that right away if something seems off. I don’t just “stop by and do tasks” I treat it like I’m temporarily responsible for the pet’s wellbeing and comfort, and I make sure they feel calm and cared for while their owner is away.
