About: I have owned pets of diverse age and size, from litter age to senior dogs - their love is sublime, and their ask & needs endearing. I am a health care industry remote working professional who enjoys spending time with my senior pug, Ginger. My residence is on a 1 acre lot with a private valley, and controlled gated access. The house also has a hummingbird colony that calls it home for decades. I love to take Ginger for walks, and engage with other pet lovers, in a world where everyone is plugged into their devices. I recognize its a huge responsibility and an honor to take care of your pet. I also travel and the need to have a loving caring home for my pet has been a major area of concern. Pets are very sensitive to changes in their routine, and absence of their care provider, and need a caring home while they await your return. With that in mind, it's important to provide both comfort - food, rest, play time, bio breaks - and also reassurance in a moment that can be stressful. I recognize the need that disruptions can cause their bodily routines to change, and those moments need care and understanding. I am fine with that. I sincerely hope that when their stay with me is complete, and they are back in your arms, they look back with a wag, as they hop in the family car for the trip home.

About: I grew up surrounded by animals, with a dad who’s a farmer and a home full of furry (and sometimes feathery) companions. From a young age, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, and while life took me down a different path, my love and passion for animals never changed. These days, I enjoy walking and carrying for dogs. There's something special about just being present with them. I’m also a proud mom to two animal-loving girls (ages 8 and 10), and together we dream of having a house full of animals... if only we had the space! I am self employed so I can set my own hours. “We left our beloved Buddy (a 9 years Weimaraner) with Peter for three weeks while we traveled abroad, and I can’t say enough about how phenomenal he was. This was the first time we’d ever been apart from our boy for so long, but from the very beginning we felt at ease. Peter has such wonderful energy. You can feel it immediately, and so can the dogs. When he first picked Buddy up, our pup was elated, as if he had known Peter forever, even though he had only stayed one night before as a trial. Buddy hopped into Peter’s car with pure joy and never looked back, which gave us so much peace of mind. When Peter brought Buddy back, our dog was thrilled to see us, of course :) but what struck us most was how happy and comfortable he was around Peter too. As a dog parent, that is the best reaction I could ever hope for: knowing my boy felt loved, safe, and genuinely happy while we were away. Peter and his dog, Phoe, are truly the best companions you could ever want for your pup. About: I have always had at least one dog in my life, so not only does my love for dogs run deeply but so does my knowledge of care. I want to make sure your pet is comfortable, fed, watered, and has gotten time to be outside to play and go to the bathroom. I am free for a large majority of the time. I work several part-time jobs at the moment, so scheduling around shorter shifts is no problem for me. I am extremely responsible with other people's properties. I am a detail-oriented person and not one to make mistakes or leave a mess when in another person's space. I follow the philosophy: leave every place better than you entered. In this case, I would leave your home better by giving your dogs care. When your pet is with me, their safety and emotional state are my number one priority. If I need to transport your pet anywhere, I am an excellent driver and have never once been ticketed or gotten into an accident. For walks, I have experience with animal safety and protection from other pets and wild animals. With small dogs, you never have to worry about a potential coyote attack or a larger breed biting the dog. I take dog safety very seriously and prepare for every walk with proper equipment, extra food for the dog, extra poop bags, and water. I will always switch to walking a dog or multiple dogs on the inside of me when passing other animals. I am also experienced using treats to maintain a dog's attention. I will never force your dog into any situation that their body language tells me they are not okay with. I am detail-oriented and good at shutting down potentially dangerous situations before they occur.

About: Growing up, I was constantly surrounded by animals because of my parents being vets. Currently, I have six dogs, a rabbit, and a cat! I have helped take care of, raise, and train two puppy litters. Being around all kinds of animals is a joy and pets health and safety is my biggest priority. I am a full time student, however I have an extremely flexible schedule which allows me to spend as much time as need be with pets. I also am not employed, so your pets would be my first priority. I am extremely adaptable to the needs of your pets, whether it be specific dietary needs or sleeping habits, I can accommodate whatever your pets (and you!) need to feel 100% safe. Normally, I take care of mail and garbage when I am staying at a house, unless asked otherwise.

Finally, in my senior year of high school, my parents got a medium-sized golden doodle and surprised my sister and me. I cried. I can not express the level of joy I experience around dogs. Many of my friends could attest to the connection I have with dogs when I meet them. They are shocked by how much their dogs love me right away. What they don’t know is that I have carefully researched ways to approach dogs and read their body language to determine how they would like to be interacted with. I am a researcher at heart. I am an undergrad in college who has worked on multiple graduate-level research projects in the fields of neuroscience, psychology, biology, and sports studies. When I fell in love with animals, I made it a mission to know how to handle them and treat them with the care they deserve. Where to pet the dog, how to walk up to a dog, what sort of eye contact to make with the dog; these are all examples of how I have learned to pay attention to dogs and respect their boundaries in order to create deep bonds. I am my dog's safe place; she will come and sit between my legs when overwhelmed because she trusts me to protect her and not to treat her the way she needs to be treated at that moment. I would bring this level of care, passion, and enthusiasm to every workday and hope to strengthen the care and play experience of all dogs. I have worked with dogs of many breeds and many ages with many different needs. I have experience with nervous dogs, hyperactive dogs, reactive dogs, super intelligent dogs, stubborn dogs, and hypoallergenic dogs. I am an athlete, and my athletic and strength training have allowed me to handle strong dogs on lead, heavy dogs, and aggressive dogs that pull or suddenly jerk. My athleticism is particularly handy with highly energetic breeds. My own dog's favorite hobby is getting chased around by me or chasing after me. I have also been known to take dogs on runs with me or hikes. If your dog has a particular routine that involves going for a morning run, I would be the perfect candidate to keep that habit up while you're away! I have held many part-time jobs, and I am consistent and reliable. I am a great candidate to take care of your dog in any way. Consider me for all your pet care needs! I am an early riser! If you'd like a walk for your pet, morning, noon, and afternoon walks are the best! I like to schedule my pet care throughout my day, such as in the morning, at noon, and in the afternoon. It depends on what pet care you need from me, but for a home drop-in, I prefer to have time to take your pup out, feed them if necessary, get them used to my presence, calmed down, and give them a little treat before I take off. I am free for a large majority of the time. I work several part-time jobs at the moment, so scheduling around shorter shifts is no problem for me. I am extremely responsible with other people's properties. I am a detail-oriented person and not one to make mistakes or leave a mess when in another person's space. I follow the philosophy: leave every place better than you entered. In this case, I would leave your home better by giving your dogs care. When your pet is with me, their safety and emotional state are my number one priority. If I need to transport your pet anywhere, I am an excellent driver and have never once been ticketed or gotten into an accident. For walks, I have experience with animal safety and protection from other pets and wild animals. With small dogs, you never have to worry about a potential coyote attack or a larger breed biting the dog. I take dog safety very seriously and prepare for every walk with proper equipment, extra food for the dog, extra poop bags, and water. I will always switch to walking a dog or multiple dogs on the inside of me when passing other animals. I am also experienced using treats to maintain a dog's attention. I will never force your dog into any situation that their body language tells me they are not okay with. I am detail-oriented and good at shutting down potentially dangerous situations before they occur.

We have a small, enclosed yard where your pup can enjoy some fresh air, sun-tanning, and additional exercise. We also have a beautiful greenbelt right behind our house where there is plenty of room for your dog to roam and play. I know first hand how stressful it can be to leave your 4-legged family member with someone (for both the human and the dog!) so I send daily picture/video updates during your pup's stay so that you can relax and enjoy your vacation! About: I grew up surrounded by animals, with a dad who’s a farmer and a home full of furry (and sometimes feathery) companions. From a young age, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, and while life took me down a different path, my love and passion for animals never changed. These days, I enjoy walking and carrying for dogs.
