“We were visiting Las Vegas and needed last‑minute care for our two elderly dogs, and Diane truly went above and beyond. Not only did she welcome both of our girls on short notice, she cared for them for four days during a week of extreme heat — something they wouldn’t have tolerated safely. This was our first time using Rover, and Diane made the entire experience feel easy and reassuring. She was wonderfully communicative from start to finish, sending updates and photos throughout their stay. One of our girls, Sherry, had an upset stomach, and Diane was so attentive and comforting, letting us know she was keeping a close eye on her. About: MATURE and RESPONSIBLE DOG LOVER. I’ve had dogs from small to giant. I am a volunteer at the Agoura Animal Shelter and Ventura County Animal Shelter. I have many years of experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities, and currently I have a Treeing Walker Hound, and a senior Cocker Spaniel (both are rescues). I provide hotel pet sitting, hiking, walking, and check-ins. A MEET AND GREET WITH THE PET AND THEIR OWNER IS REQUIRED. I walk my own dogs every morning and bathe them once each week. Dog-walking is my livelihood and I take the care of dogs seriously. I volunteer twice a week at the Agoura Animal Shelter and the Ventura Animal Shelter. I live in a single-family home with a fenced yard, and have a section of the house I can gate if I need to. Because I have my own dogs who need me, I am not available to stay in a client’s home.

About: I'm a sensitive, caring responsible individual who loves to play with dogs and with whom dogs love to play. I've worked at the Glendale, CA Humane Society Shelter walking dogs and really enjoyed the experience. I've owned dogs for a good part of my life. However, I recently had to put Taffy, my last dog, to sleep. She was 16 and not doing well. It was heart wrenching and I thought perhaps that rather getting another, I could give the love I have for dogs to others, without having the ultimate burden of ownership. I live in Agoura Hills, CA. There lots of room for dogs to walk and play, lots of trees and grass for dogs to sniff and explore. There are also lots of other dogs in the community and opportunities for dogs to socialize, if the owners and the dogs want. I have a fenced yard and I work from home. I have a flexible schedule. Consequently, I can adapt my schedule to your dog's schedule. I have a fenced yard and I have no other dogs. Even though the house is on two levels, it's easy for dogs to navigate.

About: The last two dogs I had were the best pets I've ever had, one in particular I took everywhere, hiking, running, swimming and even to play basketball. I even took her halfway up Mt. Diablo one time. I feel like every dog owner should expose their dogs to many outside environments, something other than there backyard or house. The only regrets I have about my past ownership is not taking my dogs out everyday. As an owner I believe that dogs should be treated more than just a convenient stress reliever. Dogs can be your closest friend so they ought to be cared for and treated like a great one. What I bring to the table is a genuine love for all dogs and an understanding of their needs. I can be fairly flexible on weekdays for visits and walks, but am mostly available only in the afternoon. Weekends, I am pretty much always available. House sits I can do any day of the week. To start off, I always start off by caring for the pet as outlined by the owner (routines, feeding schedules, medications, things to avoid, walks). But in addition to that, I like to have some fun with the dogs that I sit. I will play with them a bit and in general just hang out with them.

Not only did she welcome both of our girls on short notice, she cared for them for four days during a week of extreme heat — something they wouldn’t have tolerated safely. She was wonderfully communicative from start to finish, sending updates and photos throughout their stay.
