“Daysha is a lifesaver! I came into town from over eight hours away under very stressful circumstances and had never been to the area before. When my pet sitter canceled at the last minute, I decided to bring my almost two-year-old Chinese Crested with me. My mom suggested trying Rover for doggy daycare. It was 9 PM and less than 48 hours before my arrival, but Daysha responded immediately. She was communicative, professional, and instantly put my mind at ease. She happily agreed to care for my pup on short notice, asked thoughtful questions about his routine, diet, and personality, and was incredibly flexible with an early morning drop-off and pickup time. She didn’t hesitate for a second and said, “no problem!” My dog sleeps with me every night, and this was our first time apart. She and her adorable chihuahua mix, Harlow, met us outside, and we introduced the dogs on leash first in a neutral space—such a thoughtful and knowledgeable approach. Then we moved to the backyard so they could get more comfortable off-leash. She even invited us inside briefly before I said goodbye, which I really appreciated. I was worried my pup might have a hard time adjusting, especially since he’s used to sleeping with me, but Daysha handled everything with ease. She didn’t force him into the crate (which meant a lot to me), and he ended up sleeping comfortably in the bed I brought. Throughout his stay, I received regular photo and video updates, and Daysha remained consistently communicative. Honestly, I think it was harder on me than it was on my dog! I’m so grateful for this experience—Daysha truly went above and beyond, and I would absolutely trust her again.”

Going through this created a very special place in my heart for elderly dogs, so if you entrusted yours in my care, know they will get the same love and compassion I gave my sweet Cali. My best friend now is a border collie/Newfoundland mix named Pe’ahi, who is way to smart for her own good and has been the best travel and backcountry Jeeping buddy!

On the walk a BIG dog ran out of its owners garage and tried to attack Candy, but thanks to Dans superior skills he was able to respectfully and professionally keep it in one spot until the owner was able to retrieve their unleashed pet. Dan brought her back immediately and explained the situation fearful she may have been injured, but no, Candy got away just fine and SuperDan saved the day with minor scrapes. About: I grew up taking care of 3 cats and 1 dog. Unfortunately 2 of my cats passed away due to old age, but one is still hanging on 14 years strong!
