“Christina saved my life! 3 days before Open Heart Surgery, I was without a sitter for my Poodle, Dusty. PANIC set in ,along with plenty of tears. I searched the internet and found Rover and Christina. I was nervous. Will he be ok. Have fun. Be loved. I didn't want him with a lot of other dogs....just in case. Christina called and within 5 minutes she had my nerves vanished and I was sold. We met and she is the sweetest, kind, and loving lady. Dusty loved her and her dog from the start. Off they went to have fun and I could get my surgery. Received pictures almost daily and when I got him back my dog was a happy, vibrant dog. He had lots of fun. Went on walks. Being new to the area we really didn't know anyone and we wanted our dog to be in a home environment where she wouldn't be alone. My wife found Cynthia on Rover and we went over to meet her. We were immediately impressed by the secure yard and surroundings. Our dog immediately bonded with her little dog Chewey. To make sure, we arranged two "play days" to make sure that all went well. Everything went better than expected and I, being an overly protective pet parent, felt at ease with leaving our dog for a week. I had nothing to worry about. She let our dog settle-in at her house where ever our dog felt most at ease and took her out for regular walks and time in the yard. About: I worked at a boarding business for cats and dogs and was around many different breeds, sizes, and ages of cats. In this job I had to clean out their litter box, feed them their desired food, and also give medicine to the ones that needed it. I also had to play and cuddle and spend time with each cat during a shift. I have always grown up around cats, my first ever pet was a cat, and I own a cat now as well. About: I've had dogs most of my life. First was Lance, a Springer Spaniel, when i was 4-yrs old. Add German Shorthair Pointers, Weimeraners, Labs, both English and Anerican Cocker Spaniels, terrier mix breeds and my current pup is a Long Hair Chihuahua. Most of my dogs have been shelter rescues. Also, I foster dogs for local shelters. I am retired and spend most of my time at home working in my new garden reading, or crafting. When we have dog guests, our time is devoted primarily to our visitors. Human away time rarely exceeds 4-hrs per day. I have a large fenced yard to run and play in whenever they want Chewy, the Chihuahua, is a friendly companion. Indoors is a dog-friendly/dog priority 3-bdrm home. Plenty of space if a visitor needs some quiet privacy or a mim with pups wants separation. Daily walks add to our exercise regime. Balls, frisbees and dogs are shared. Treats abound!

Class schedule: Mon 1pm-2pm Tue 9:30am-1pm then 3pm-5pm Wed 9am-2pm then 4pm-5pm Thur 9:30am-4pm Fri 1pm-2pm I do also have a job at the animal shelter for part time. That work schedule will vary but will be no more the 4-6 hours a day. Likely to be on the weekends to avoid conflict with school :) For my personal home, I will not be able to board any pets. Although I am very safe and responsible. My person pet uses a crate just for her safety when I am gone. I am good with crate training as needed for your pets as well. I make sure I clean up after every day and leave the house as clean as I can before you arrive back home to your happy animals!
About: Growing up I’ve always had dogs in my family. However now that I’m an out-of-state student, I’ve been feeling homesick and it especially doesn’t help that I’m not around any dog love anymore. I heard about Rover through a friend and felt that this would help me with what I’ve been feeling. I have a fenced in back yard with a large natural grass pad. I can board your animal at my home should you need. I am open to specific needs like medication, play, feeds, interactions, grooming and socialization. I provide open continuous communication as you need.
About: With three cattle dog pups of my own, I’m no stranger to high energy days, big personalities, and the occasional case of the zoomies! “We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Lauren! My son Joshua recently got Penny, and I have my dog Melo. We had been trying for weeks to get the two of them together before having to leave them with a sitter, but unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance until about an hour before drop-off. Needless to say, we were pretty nervous about how they would interact, especially since we were heading out of town on a business trip. Lauren did an absolutely wonderful job taking care of both of them. She kept us updated every day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was especially great hearing that Melo and Penny were getting along so well. Lauren even commented that she was surprised they had just met because they acted like they had been friends forever!
