“I was nervous leaving my cocker spaniel, Hedwig at a daycare for the first time. I wasn’t sure how he would behave with other dogs without a leash. During a meet and greet with Beth she put me at ease pointing out the positive behavior Hedwig was behaving with the other dogs. While on my ten day vacation, she sent me a video of Hedwig wanting to play with another dog as well as 3 pictures of him relaxing and he looked happy. He even slept under her bed at night. I’m glad Hedwig felt right at home and he will definitely be going back. Thank you Beth.”

“We needed someone to watch our older dog while we were away for a week. Being new to the area we really didn't know anyone and we wanted our dog to be in a home environment where she wouldn't be alone. My wife found Cynthia on Rover and we went over to meet her. We were immediately impressed by the secure yard and surroundings. Our dog immediately bonded with her little dog Chewey. To make sure, we arranged two "play days" to make sure that all went well. Everything went better than expected and I, being an overly protective pet parent, felt at ease with leaving our dog for a week. I had nothing to worry about. Cynthia took great care of our dog, sent us regular updates including pictures and videos. She let our dog settle-in at her house where ever our dog felt most at ease and took her out for regular walks and time in the yard. About: Ive had many pets throughout my life. Majority being dogs. Ive had dogs of many sizes and breeds. Ive had three pitbulls, three chihuahuas, two german shepherds, and one saint bernard!! I work part time, my shifts usually being from 6 am - 1 pm on weekdays, which gives me much of my day to take care of your pets! Weekends are a bit more difficult due to the fluctuations in my work schedule but I'm pretty casual when it comes to working around things! I have a fenced yard, its not too big but there is space! I can also take your pet for a walk if they yard is not good enough! I will not leave your pet in a crate but instead allow them to roam freely (Unless you specifically want them to be crated).

“Jewel checked in on my cat Cleo twice each day to make sure she was eating and also getting some enrichment. She made sure that the litterbox was cleaned up daily and that there was enough water for Cleo each day. Jewel made sure to write up a summary after each visit. I came back home to find Cleo as happy and healthy as she was before I left and that she had already been fed. She got along very well with Jewel based on the reports. Overall, I would definitely ask Jewel to look after Cleo again.”

Right now my family has a mini golden doodle who's been with us for 14 years and a mini Aussie doodle. I also have a pitbull mix named nova! She's two years old. I’ve never met an animal that didn’t like me! I just graduated esthetician school and I’m currently starting my business. Everything I make on rover goes towards my career! About: I've had dogs most of my life. First was Lance, a Springer Spaniel, when i was 4-yrs old. Add German Shorthair Pointers, Weimeraners, Labs, both English and Anerican Cocker Spaniels, terrier mix breeds and my current pup is a Long Hair Chihuahua. Most of my dogs have been shelter rescues. Also, I foster dogs for local shelters. I am retired and spend most of my time at home working in my new garden reading, or crafting. When we have dog guests, our time is devoted primarily to our visitors. Human away time rarely exceeds 4-hrs per day. I have a large fenced yard to run and play in whenever they want Chewy, the Chihuahua, is a friendly companion. Indoors is a dog-friendly/dog priority 3-bdrm home. Plenty of space if a visitor needs some quiet privacy or a mim with pups wants separation. Daily walks add to our exercise regime. Balls, frisbees and dogs are shared. Treats abound!

About: I have lots of experience with dogs and cats. Throughout my childhood animals were my escape from reality. My dad bred dogs and I always loved them so much it was hard to say goodbye. In high school I took in a stray cat and it kept getting pregnant so I raised like 5 litters of kittens as well. To be honest I like animals more than people your babies are in good hands. I like to walk and get my steps in everyday so it won’t be much different walking with the doggos. I have dog and catsit for close friends and family but never strangers. Excited to do it! I work from home and my job is very flexible. I am my own boss so I can pretty much take breaks whenever I need to take your fur baby on walks or feed them as well as give them lots of attention when needed. My availability is very open and I love all animals. Since I work from home I’ll always be here to make sure your animal is well cared for and happy. About: Hi! I've had my cat Olive for 11 years and my dog Bel for 3 years. I have also taken care of close to 70 foster animals mostly kittens, with a few medical fosters, and behavioral issues along the way. I have taken courses on behavioral training for dogs as my own dog is reactive towards dogs, so I am very familiar with dog reactivity. I currently run a small 1 man business from my home and have control over my schedule to provide care to other animals regularly. I also foster other animals from time to time. My own dog is reactive and high energy and needs 3 walks a day usually with a lot of play. My cat is a large maincoon that requires a strict diet and care regimen to keep her pre-diabetes in check.

About: I worked at a boarding business for about a year and a half for dogs and cats. I worked with all different sizes and breeds, and ages of dogs and cats. My job tittle including playing and cuddling with the animals, feeding the animals, cleaning where they stayed, and giving medicine to the animals that required it. Dash was a reactive dog when I got him two years ago, so we held numerous dog-sitting session weeks beforehand to make sure both were comfortable with each other. About: I have taken care of both puppies and adult dogs. I have a flexible schedule and can drop by more than once daily if needed! I’m retired and have an open schedule. I can do multiple visits daily if needed. I also have the flexibility to do longer visits if needed to provide socialization and comfort for your pet! I don’t have the ability to care for pets in my home, but I’m available to go to my clients’ homes as frequently as needed. About: I've had pets since I was a baby. My mother had a little wading pool and she used to put our pet ducklings in the water to swim with me. When I was five, I started bringing home injured animals. I've worked with everything from skunks to raptors to more common animals like dogs, cats, and horses. When I got old enough, I started volunteering for different rescue organizations. I will walk your pet frequently and give lots of cuddles. Pets are our children and soulmates. They teach us how we should be--they are angels that inhabit the earth for a short time. For important details: I only work with one client at a time so that I can supervise and care properly for your pet. I work remotely from home for a governmental organization, so I am home and available. My backyard has a 6 foot wall but no pet is left unsupervised. I do not smoke or allow others in the house when I am boarding a dog, as you do not know that person. I treat all my clients and their pets the way I’d want to be treated. As I said, I work remotely, so I am home with my dog during the day. We go to coffeehouses together to work sometimes and have plenty of playtime in the yard. She gets a really long walk at sunrise and has little ones throughout the day as well. Her happiness is my priority. I make sure she goes to her vet regularly and gets groomed, so that she can be healthy and feel her best. I have a large, walled backyard garden full of lots of places for a pet to sniff, yet it’s safe enough for them to explore. My dog does not go out there unsupervised. At sunset to night, I walk her on the leash back there to ensure predators don’t find her. She is a member of my family, and has her own special places and pillows to make her feel safe and comfortable.

Everything went better than expected and I, being an overly protective pet parent, felt at ease with leaving our dog for a week. I had nothing to worry about. Cynthia took great care of our dog, sent us regular updates including pictures and videos. She let our dog settle-in at her house where ever our dog felt most at ease and took her out for regular walks and time in the yard. When we came back we found that our dog had such a good time that I'm not sure she wanted to leave! Needless to say that Cynthia will be our first choice to watch our dog whenever the need arises! Your dog will be in good hands.”

“Our dog knew something was going on when we got into the car. As we walked him to Lauren’s front door he was like a toddler saying no. He didn’t want to go inside and didn’t want to be left behind. But Lauren scooped him up and within two minutes you could see how comfortable he was with her. She had won him over that quickly. It made it so much easier for us to go on our first trip away from him knowing he was in a genuinely caring environment. She kept us updated and most importantly we came back to a happy and healthy puppy. Absolutely will use Lauren again!”
