About: I’ve taken care of animals ever since I was little, whether that was taking care of our cats and dogs or watching a neighbors pet. I worked in the veterinary field for a couple of years and a technician so I am comfortable administering any medications. I am open to sitting dogs of all ages, I just ask that if they aren’t potty trained to please provide a kennel. I have a border collie who loves to make friends so we hope to see your furry friends soon! I am currently a PhD student here at the U of A. I do have classes and work during the weekdays but I am available after 5pm. On the weekends me and my dog take it easy and stay in. I do live in an apartment complex. There are two dog parks present in the complex if you would want me to take your pet to run some energy out (but totally understand if you would prefer no visits to the dog park). I am able to crate any pet that needs to be I just ask that you supply the crate since I do not have one at this time. I do have a 7yr old border collie who loves to meet new friends and is very patient with energetic breeds. I take her on a long walk at least once a day and will definitely take any pet I watch on a long walk too (a girl has to get her steps in).
“We needed someone to watch our older dog while we were away for a week. Being new to the area we really didn't know anyone and we wanted our dog to be in a home environment where she wouldn't be alone. My wife found Cynthia on Rover and we went over to meet her. We were immediately impressed by the secure yard and surroundings. Our dog immediately bonded with her little dog Chewey. To make sure, we arranged two "play days" to make sure that all went well. She let our dog settle-in at her house where ever our dog felt most at ease and took her out for regular walks and time in the yard. About: I've loved dogs my whole life! When I was born my mom had a chocolate lab and a doberman. Then my dad got a rescue pitbull and a husky mix. Right now my family has a mini golden doodle who's been with us for 14 years and a mini Aussie doodle. I also have a pitbull mix named nova! She's two years old. I’ve never met an animal that didn’t like me! I just graduated esthetician school and I’m currently starting my business. Everything I make on rover goes towards my career! Im currently starting my entrepreneurial journey. Right now I’m a full time pet care giver. I also work a weekend night job. I do not have a set schedule so I have open availability. About: I've had dogs most of my life. First was Lance, a Springer Spaniel, when i was 4-yrs old. Add German Shorthair Pointers, Weimeraners, Labs, both English and Anerican Cocker Spaniels, terrier mix breeds and my current pup is a Long Hair Chihuahua. Most of my dogs have been shelter rescues. Also, I foster dogs for local shelters. I am retired and spend most of my time at home working in my new garden reading, or crafting. When we have dog guests, our time is devoted primarily to our visitors. Human away time rarely exceeds 4-hrs per day. I have a large fenced yard to run and play in whenever they want Chewy, the Chihuahua, is a friendly companion. Indoors is a dog-friendly/dog priority 3-bdrm home. Plenty of space if a visitor needs some quiet privacy or a mim with pups wants separation. Daily walks add to our exercise regime. Balls, frisbees and dogs are shared. Treats abound!

About: Hi! I've had my cat Olive for 11 years and my dog Bel for 3 years. I have also taken care of close to 70 foster animals mostly kittens, with a few medical fosters, and behavioral issues along the way. I have taken courses on behavioral training for dogs as my own dog is reactive towards dogs, so I am very familiar with dog reactivity. About: I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. My first dog was a Chihuahua who lived to be 18, so I learned a lot about caring for senior dogs and making sure they stay comfortable as they grow older. About: I have experience taking care of boarding dogs and cats at an animal hospital. I worked for them for a little over a year and have gotten lots of experience with dogs and cats. I used to raise puppies and train them how to sit and have manners for about two years with my parent. I have dog sitting experience and house sitting experience. I am currently going to school at the UofA full time during the weekdays (my class schedule is listed below keep reading) and would be available most days to come and play with the animals for 30 minutes to an hour in the afternoons and overnight sitting. And on weekends I would be free to play with and walk the animals as needed. Class schedule: Mon 1pm-2pm Tue 9:30am-1pm then 3pm-5pm Wed 9am-2pm then 4pm-5pm Thur 9:30am-4pm Fri 1pm-2pm I do also have a job at the animal shelter for part time. That work schedule will vary but will be no more the 4-6 hours a day. Likely to be on the weekends to avoid conflict with school :) For my personal home, I will not be able to board any pets. Although I am very safe and responsible. My person pet uses a crate just for her safety when I am gone. I am good with crate training as needed for your pets as well. I make sure I clean up after every day and leave the house as clean as I can before you arrive back home to your happy animals!

About: Ive had many pets throughout my life. Majority being dogs. Ive had dogs of many sizes and breeds. Ive had three pitbulls, three chihuahuas, two german shepherds, and one saint bernard!! I work part time, my shifts usually being from 6 am - 1 pm on weekdays, which gives me much of my day to take care of your pets! Weekends are a bit more difficult due to the fluctuations in my work schedule but I'm pretty casual when it comes to working around things! I have a fenced yard, its not too big but there is space! I can also take your pet for a walk if they yard is not good enough! I will not leave your pet in a crate but instead allow them to roam freely (Unless you specifically want them to be crated).

I am off on Saturday, Wednesday, and Thursdays typically. I can probably take bookings earlier in the day on days I work with enough notice. Whatever setup you have in your home I am willing to work with, it’s all about your buddy’s comfort and your peace of mind! If you have a reactive or aggressive dog I’m willing to do house calls. Any feeding or medication accommodations are fine with me as well.
About: Hi! I’m Sidney, I love all animals and it’s truly important for me to make sure pets are happy and loved when their owners are away. As a pet owner myself, I know how much anxiety leaving pets behind brings when travelling. It’s so important to me to make sure the pets I care for receive the same kind of love I would want for my own cat. Skills & Experience: -Cared for family dogs and cats for 17 years, including daily walks. Provided pet-sitting for 15+ years -Current cat owner of 1 cat for 5 years. -Provided drop-in visits and overnight dog-sitting through rover for 3 years I’d love to help out with drop-ins and walking in a regular basis in my neighborhood. I work 9-6 on weekdays, so I can do morning and evening walks and drop-ins. Also, I can do over night pet-sitting as needed. I’m very responsible and reliable. I truly enjoy playing and interacting with both dogs and cats of all ages and breeds. I would love to help you make having a pet more do-able and stress-free! I work a 8-5 job Monday-Friday. I can do check-ins before work and after work. For stays I am unable to stop by during the day, unless you love near downtown. In the month of June, I can work from home (your house) the second half of the day. I only provide stays at your home. I can follow whatever safety and care requirements you have, besides taking the dog out mid-day on weekdays.

“We needed someone to watch our older dog while we were away for a week. Being new to the area we really didn't know anyone and we wanted our dog to be in a home environment where she wouldn't be alone. My wife found Cynthia on Rover and we went over to meet her. We were immediately impressed by the secure yard and surroundings. Our dog immediately bonded with her little dog Chewey. To make sure, we arranged two "play days" to make sure that all went well. Everything went better than expected and I, being an overly protective pet parent, felt at ease with leaving our dog for a week. I had nothing to worry about. Cynthia took great care of our dog, sent us regular updates including pictures and videos. She let our dog settle-in at her house where ever our dog felt most at ease and took her out for regular walks and time in the yard. When we came back we found that our dog had such a good time that I'm not sure she wanted to leave! Needless to say that Cynthia will be our first choice to watch our dog whenever the need arises! Your dog will be in good hands.”
