Mellow even shared his crate with Carly when she wanted a quiet place of "her own". The daily texts and pics were fun and welcome. Their home is perfectly set up for boarding multiple dogs if needed. The outdoor spaces are perfect! Plenty of shade and spacious enough to lounge or run around. I can't recommend Shiela and David more highly. If it is your first time boarding your fur-baby, and you are nervous about it, choose Shiela and David. You can rest assured that your baby, even a baby as shy as Carly, is well cared for with Shiela and David.”

About: I've had dogs most of my life. First was Lance, a Springer Spaniel, when i was 4-yrs old. Add German Shorthair Pointers, Weimeraners, Labs, both English and Anerican Cocker Spaniels, terrier mix breeds and my current pup is a Long Hair Chihuahua. Most of my dogs have been shelter rescues. Also, I foster dogs for local shelters. I am retired and spend most of my time at home working in my new garden reading, or crafting. When we have dog guests, our time is devoted primarily to our visitors. Human away time rarely exceeds 4-hrs per day. I have a large fenced yard to run and play in whenever they want Chewy, the Chihuahua, is a friendly companion. Indoors is a dog-friendly/dog priority 3-bdrm home. Plenty of space if a visitor needs some quiet privacy or a mim with pups wants separation. Daily walks add to our exercise regime. Balls, frisbees and dogs are shared. Treats abound!

About: I'm a lover of every animal I've ever met, with a background in pediatrics, medication administration, foster animal care, neo-natal pet care, first aid and pet/house sitting. About: Hi there! My name is Hillary (my husband is Logan) and we have been dog owners for 15+ years and animal welfare advocates for our entire lives. My main focus on Rover is to offer boarding and house sitting, however, daycare and drop ins are available if needed. I am a foster and volunteer at Tucson Cold Wet Noses (a rescue that pulls Senior and medical needs dogs from shelters), a volunteer with Friends of PACC, a trainee at Sol Dog Lodge & Training Center, and all around lover of ALL animals (my dream is to have chickens, horses, and goats one day). I have so much love for senior dogs + experience with giving oral medications and making accommodations in our home for dogs with special needs (both physical and behavioral) so if you have a pup that needs some extra special attention, I'm able and willing to provide that. We typically go to the dog park on a daily basis in the evenings, run/walk our higher energy pups in the mornings, and we frequent Culver's and Starbucks for pup cups, which your dog will enjoy while staying with us (unless you prefer not). We are animal lovers at heart (of course lol) and will make your pup(s) feel loved and safe and welcome in our home while they are here + we aim to get them nice and tired for you before pick up so they (and you) sleep well after your time away. We believe in hugging and kissing our animals as much as possible and allowing them on the bed and couch with us when they want - if you prefer that your dog not be on the couch or bed, please let me know. We have also done obedience training with all of our dogs at The Complete Canine and I have done a lot of work with basic obedience training so I am more than happy to do some training with your dog when you are out of town! Certifications: Pet CPR - American Red Cross Dog sitting and training is my full time job and my husband works from home so we are very flexible with your dogs care. I do have training commitments that will take me away from your home 4-5 hours depending on the day and that can be discussed upon booking to ensure that your dog will have what they need while I'm watching them. I have a fully fenced yard and 5 friendly dogs of my own who will keep your pup company when you’re gone! We have a home where dogs are welcome on our furniture and we love to cuddle and kiss our pups + include them in any plans we have after work. Your fur baby will get lots of access to our backyard and access to lots of toys as well. We also have a kiddie pool in the backyard that the dogs are able to use on hot days! Some rules for dogs boarding at our house: 1. Dogs must be crate trained 2. Pick ups must be done by 9pm. If you are not able to get to my house by 9pm, you will be charged for an additional night and can pick up in the morning. 3. Since we have small Senior dogs at home, I will need to know ahead of time how your dog does with cats and small dogs prior to booking.

“We needed someone to watch our older dog while we were away for a week. Being new to the area we really didn't know anyone and we wanted our dog to be in a home environment where she wouldn't be alone. My wife found Cynthia on Rover and we went over to meet her. We were immediately impressed by the secure yard and surroundings. Our dog immediately bonded with her little dog Chewey. To make sure, we arranged two "play days" to make sure that all went well. Everything went better than expected and I, being an overly protective pet parent, felt at ease with leaving our dog for a week. I had nothing to worry about. Cynthia took great care of our dog, sent us regular updates including pictures and videos. She let our dog settle-in at her house where ever our dog felt most at ease and took her out for regular walks and time in the yard. When we came back we found that our dog had such a good time that I'm not sure she wanted to leave! Needless to say that Cynthia will be our first choice to watch our dog whenever the need arises! Your dog will be in good hands.”

“Can we give 100 stars? We went to Hawaii and are pretty sure our dog might have had more fun with Lara than we did on our trip. (Which is hard. The trip was awesome.) ?? Our dog is a dog's dog. He loves playing with others pups, and had the chance to do so all week. Every single video she sent showed him just having the best time with the other dogs-- and he even got to go out with the horses on the road! Our dog has A LOT of food issues and it was worrying that he would get into something (he is unable to eat anything except for his specialized food)-- not a problem. She kept him safe and made sure he didn't have anything he wasn't supposed to. Lara and her family are a true dog sitting gem. I need to plan another vacay just so our guy can stay with them again. Thank you, Lara! Consider us fans for life.”
