“We needed someone to watch our older dog while we were away for a week. Being new to the area we really didn't know anyone and we wanted our dog to be in a home environment where she wouldn't be alone. My wife found Cynthia on Rover and we went over to meet her. We were immediately impressed by the secure yard and surroundings. Our dog immediately bonded with her little dog Chewey. To make sure, we arranged two "play days" to make sure that all went well. Everything went better than expected and I, being an overly protective pet parent, felt at ease with leaving our dog for a week. I had nothing to worry about. She let our dog settle-in at her house where ever our dog felt most at ease and took her out for regular walks and time in the yard. About: I've taken care of dogs since my family brought home our first Boxer when I was 13. I have extensive experience caring for dogs of varying size and age. I am able to provide bathing and brushing, manage specialized diets, and medication delivery. I have experience with dogs experiencing anxiety and with allergies, and have managed care for dogs recovering from accidents or serious illness. I am usually available between 6-9am and 5pm-10pm Monday to Friday and always available weekends. I am currently working part-time Monday-Thursday 10am-5pm, and Friday 9am-1pm. I love providing morning and evening care on weekdays, including drop-ins and walks. I offer boarding occasionally during Holidays or occasional weekends, to ensure pets in my care have my full attention and support for their needs. “I had to leave last minute to Phoenix to help take care of my mom while my dad was away for work. Since the stay home order has been really hard on everyone, I didn’t think I would be able to find someone to take care of my dog. He’s very skittish, and gets stressed out and scared around men, so not many people I talked to could take him. Vicky was AMAZING. She sent me pictures 2-3 times daily and updated me on how he was doing. She even sent me a few videos! I was so scared to leave him with someone he had never met before, but he adjusted so well to Vicky’s kind and gentle nature and let him have exploring time in her home. I will forever be deeply grateful for what Vicky has done for me and Magnum, and her genuine kindness and passion she has for this work! I will be coming to Vicky for any dog boarding I need for Magnum! Honestly, I think if you’re reading this review that you should too. About: I worked at a boarding business for cats and dogs and was around many different breeds, sizes, and ages of cats. In this job I had to clean out their litter box, feed them their desired food, and also give medicine to the ones that needed it. I also had to play and cuddle and spend time with each cat during a shift. I have always grown up around cats, my first ever pet was a cat, and I own a cat now as well. I can pick up on their moods fairly quickly and know basic knowledge of cats health.

About: I've had dogs most of my life. First was Lance, a Springer Spaniel, when i was 4-yrs old. Add German Shorthair Pointers, Weimeraners, Labs, both English and Anerican Cocker Spaniels, terrier mix breeds and my current pup is a Long Hair Chihuahua. Most of my dogs have been shelter rescues. Also, I foster dogs for local shelters. I am retired and spend most of my time at home working in my new garden reading, or crafting. When we have dog guests, our time is devoted primarily to our visitors. Human away time rarely exceeds 4-hrs per day. I have a large fenced yard to run and play in whenever they want Chewy, the Chihuahua, is a friendly companion. Indoors is a dog-friendly/dog priority 3-bdrm home. Plenty of space if a visitor needs some quiet privacy or a mim with pups wants separation. Daily walks add to our exercise regime. Balls, frisbees and dogs are shared. Treats abound!

About: I've loved dogs my whole life! When I was born my mom had a chocolate lab and a doberman. Then my dad got a rescue pitbull and a husky mix. Right now my family has a mini golden doodle who's been with us for 14 years and a mini Aussie doodle. I also have a pitbull mix named nova! She's two years old. I’ve never met an animal that didn’t like me! I just graduated esthetician school and I’m currently starting my business. Everything I make on rover goes towards my career! Im currently starting my entrepreneurial journey. Right now I’m a full time pet care giver. I also work a weekend night job. I do not have a set schedule so I have open availability. About: Growing up I’ve always had dogs in my family. However now that I’m an out-of-state student, I’ve been feeling homesick and it especially doesn’t help that I’m not around any dog love anymore. I heard about Rover through a friend and felt that this would help me with what I’ve been feeling. I can’t wait to meet your furry friends! 🐾 I’m a full time student at the U of A with only morning classes, and plenty of time afterwards to have a fun playdate with your furry friend! 🐾 I’m a calm and respectful individual, who will do anything to assure you that your furry friend will be safe at all times in my care.
About: I have experience taking care of boarding dogs and cats at an animal hospital. I worked for them for a little over a year and have gotten lots of experience with dogs and cats. I used to raise puppies and train them how to sit and have manners for about two years with my parent. I have dog sitting experience and house sitting experience. I also want to note that I am a full time college student, my schedule is below for more information. Just keep scrolling and you will see “schedule” section. Thank you :) I am currently going to school at the UofA full time during the weekdays (my class schedule is listed below keep reading) and would be available most days to come and play with the animals for 30 minutes to an hour in the afternoons and overnight sitting. And on weekends I would be free to play with and walk the animals as needed. Class schedule: Mon 1pm-2pm Tue 9:30am-1pm then 3pm-5pm Wed 9am-2pm then 4pm-5pm Thur 9:30am-4pm Fri 1pm-2pm I do also have a job at the animal shelter for part time. That work schedule will vary but will be no more the 4-6 hours a day. Likely to be on the weekends to avoid conflict with school :) For my personal home, I will not be able to board any pets. Although I am very safe and responsible. My person pet uses a crate just for her safety when I am gone. I am good with crate training as needed for your pets as well. I make sure I clean up after every day and leave the house as clean as I can before you arrive back home to your happy animals!

About: I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. My first dog was a Chihuahua who lived to be 18, so I learned a lot about caring for senior dogs and making sure they stay comfortable as they grow older. I've also grown up around horses and farm animals, and I even had a leopard gecko for a couple years. Most of my friends and family have dogs too, so I've spent plenty of time around all kinds of personalities and energy levels. Being around animals has always been something I enjoy! I'm a full time college student, so I have lots of extra time to care for your beloved companions! I have my own transportation and extremely flexible times. I live in an apartment with my Belgian Malinois, so I know firsthand how important exercise, structure, and routine can be, especially for high-energy dogs! If you would like check-ins, clean ups, feedings, Monday through Friday after 5:00 pm and All day Saturdays and Sundays, I am available elsewhere. I am also available for boarding and overnights. I have a fenced in back yard with a large natural grass pad. I can board your animal at my home should you need. I am open to specific needs like medication, play, feeds, interactions, grooming and socialization. I provide open continuous communication as you need.

About: Hello I’m Karinnah! I currently work full time as a veterinary assistant at an urgent care clinic. I got my VA certification from Pima Medical Institute in 2022 and have worked at multiple clinics over the last 4 years. I also have work history at a couple different boarding/daycare facilities prior to becoming a VA. I am very familiar with boarding, daycare, and veterinary environments so rest assured, your 4-legged pal is in responsible hands. I have worked with all kinds of dogs, cats, and other little beasties, nothing is too out of the ordinary for me these days. I grew up with many pups and kitties in my life so it’s a familiar feeling having animals around constantly. As a CVA I have professional training in general, emergency, intensive veterinary care so I am able to adjust to any of your pets medical needs if necessary. I am also a pet parent myself with 2 crazy dogs and 1 spicy cat and understand how important getting proper care for them is. My clinic is open weekdays from 3-11pm and weekends 10am-8pm. I am off on Saturday, Wednesday, and Thursdays typically. I can probably take bookings earlier in the day on days I work with enough notice. Whatever setup you have in your home I am willing to work with, it’s all about your buddy’s comfort and your peace of mind! If you have a reactive or aggressive dog I’m willing to do house calls. Any feeding or medication accommodations are fine with me as well.

About: Hi! I've had my cat Olive for 11 years and my dog Bel for 3 years. I have also taken care of close to 70 foster animals mostly kittens, with a few medical fosters, and behavioral issues along the way. I have taken courses on behavioral training for dogs as my own dog is reactive towards dogs, so I am very familiar with dog reactivity. I currently run a small 1 man business from my home and have control over my schedule to provide care to other animals regularly. I also foster other animals from time to time. My own dog is reactive and high energy and needs 3 walks a day usually with a lot of play. My cat is a large maincoon that requires a strict diet and care regimen to keep her pre-diabetes in check.

Being new to the area we really didn't know anyone and we wanted our dog to be in a home environment where she wouldn't be alone. My wife found Cynthia on Rover and we went over to meet her. Since the stay home order has been really hard on everyone, I didn’t think I would be able to find someone to take care of my dog. He’s very skittish, and gets stressed out and scared around men, so not many people I talked to could take him. Vicky was AMAZING. She sent me pictures 2-3 times daily and updated me on how he was doing. She even sent me a few videos! I was so scared to leave him with someone he had never met before, but he adjusted so well to Vicky’s kind and gentle nature and let him have exploring time in her home. I will forever be deeply grateful for what Vicky has done for me and Magnum, and her genuine kindness and passion she has for this work! I will be coming to Vicky for any dog boarding I need for Magnum! Honestly, I think if you’re reading this review that you should too.
