About: I've had dogs most of my life. First was Lance, a Springer Spaniel, when i was 4-yrs old. Add German Shorthair Pointers, Weimeraners, Labs, both English and Anerican Cocker Spaniels, terrier mix breeds and my current pup is a Long Hair Chihuahua. Most of my dogs have been shelter rescues. Also, I foster dogs for local shelters. I am retired and spend most of my time at home working in my new garden reading, or crafting. When we have dog guests, our time is devoted primarily to our visitors. Human away time rarely exceeds 4-hrs per day. I have a large fenced yard to run and play in whenever they want Chewy, the Chihuahua, is a friendly companion. Indoors is a dog-friendly/dog priority 3-bdrm home. Plenty of space if a visitor needs some quiet privacy or a mim with pups wants separation. Daily walks add to our exercise regime. Balls, frisbees and dogs are shared. Treats abound!

I have rarely met a dog I couldn't build trust with. I am working a full-time position at the University of Arizona. I am free from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m., 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays. I have full availability on weekends. I ensure to follow all the rules the pet owner has established. I will use commands and language the dog is familiar with to avoid confusion. I make sure the pets are exercised 2-3 times a day. Cleaned and brushed if needed. I am mindful of water intake and make sure that all pets are kept on their usual schedule.
