Because of the setup here, pups do need to be comfortable being in a kennel/crate at times. If your dog isn’t fully kennel trained yet (like a young puppy), that’s totally okay — I just ask that they can go into a kennel without any aggressive behavior so everyone stays safe. While your dog is staying with me, they’ll enjoy: ✨ A little bit of training and structure woven into their routine ✨ Learning manners and practicing calm behavior ✨ Daily enrichment and exercise ✨ Plenty of love, playtime, and cuddles ✨ Daily updates so you know how they’re doing My goal is to make boarding feel less stressful and more like a safe, structured staycation where your dog is cared for like family. I work from home training dogs and doing phone consultations, so I’m home the majority of the day with the pups. The only times I’m briefly away are for church on Sunday mornings (about 9:30–10:30) and the gym on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings for about an hour. During those short times, all dogs are safely kenneled with fresh water, A/C, and cameras for monitoring, so they’re always safe and comfortable. Your dog’s safety and comfort come first. I have a secure fenced yard and kennel space in my house. Dogs staying with me do need to be comfortable being kenneled at times, or at least able to go into a kennel without aggression (puppies still learning are absolutely fine!). And of course the next time Blake saw Madison and Austin he was jumping up and shaking his body all over to greet his new friends. I also do real-time check-ins/updates, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing, what we’re up to, and when I am present and when I leave your home. My day-to-day work/school is remote and flexible, so I can choose my own hours and follow your pet’s daily routine (waking/sleeping/feeding, etc.), and give them lots of both active, attentive quality time (undivided attention playing with them, walking them, petting them, brushing them, caring for them, etc.) and hangout time (for example, sitting on the couch together). Whenever possible, I can take short-notice and same-day requests. I have evening classes most weekdays for ~2-4 hours, depending on the day, and occasional performances on weekends, but typically no other scheduling commitments from May to September annually. From September through May (9 months, Fall to Summer), I am unavailable Saturdays and some Fridays (mostly First Fridays) due to our performance schedule. For a healthy pet that can be safely left alone, I still always spend as much time with them as possible and only leave the house for meals (and/or can bring food) and/or class, an occasional errand, depending on how long the stay is. I arrive well-prepared to minimize the need to exit the home. I will discuss my availability and your pet's needs in detail before accepting a booking to be sure it is mutually a good fit. For any booking, your pet’s care and safety is my primary responsibility and I take my duty of supervision and care with the utmost seriousness (don’t worry, I’m also fun!). I also care deeply for their emotional well being, so while I have to be realistic about my own schedule and needs (my classes, the need to eat, etc.), I don’t leave them unattended or lonely for any longer than I have to. In your home or on a dog-walk, I will give your pet(s) my full attention to their safety, well-being, and happiness. I am consistent and committed to staying up to date on the latest behavioral and scientific/medical knowledge. I am thorough and I carefully follow directions and will ask for clarification if needed to ensure I am prepared for your pet's specific care. I am experienced and knowledgeable, and you can trust me in your home and with your precious pets. If they have a special need that I am not qualified for handling or have experience with, I will be honest and not overstate my skills (I want your pet to be in great hands with the best fit possible as much as you do). I am gentle, calm, and kind, and can also be silly/fun/playful/energetic, or very quiet; I try to adapt to your pet’s personality, comfort, and needs. I've worked with a range of pets, from quiet seniors and calm cats to rambunctious puppies, giant-breeds, and anxious pets. And while I love them all, I most especially gravitate towards cats, seniors, and differently-abled pets. I unfortunately cannot care for your pets in my own home (such as daycare or pet sitting in my home) because I have four of my own at home with special needs and routines. (Note that when I’m away on a house stay, they are in great hands with my husband, so while I miss them dearly when gone, my own pets are very loved and looked after.) ***I’m not accepting puppies at this time due to my varied availability/classes, or most Large/Giant breeds only because I’m healing a neck/shoulder injury; I'm not assuming about your pet that they pull on a lead, but I want to ensure I could safely carry/transport them in the event of an emergency.***
About: I’ve had a Yorkie named Cooper since I was young and he currently lives with my parents back in Cleveland. I love dogs so much and I believe you should take care of dogs like you do your kids! I work fully remote, so I will be at home and play with the dogs all day! I will show them love and be able to feed them and take them to the bathroom whenever they need it! I also have a dog park at my apartment and a park in walking distance! I will play or walk the dogs whenever they need it, I love to exercise and move around! They will never not be shown love!

About: I will play with your dog, making sure the get necessary excersize. I will make sure that your dog stays hydrated and fed. If you tell me about any concerns you have with your dog I will keep my eye open for them. If I notice anything that is of concern I will let you know immediately. I will take your dog out on walks, and runs. I will brush their fur, if their nails need trimming I can do that. I love dogs, I grew up with dogs my entire life. We always made sure they were well fed, and taken care of. I love any type of dog, any shape or size. Dogs are adorable and cuddly, I will be more than happy to keep your dog company.
