About: My husband and I have retired and live in Saddlebrooke. We both watched dogs before when we lived in Columbus and now in Arizona and we LOVE it! Between the two of us we are home alot to spoil our (and your!) dogs, but do note that we do take bike rides etc in the 2-3 hour range several times a week. We watch ONLY ONE family’s dog(s) at one time so that we can give YOUR pet the special attention that he or she deserves. I have found each dog that we've watched to be a special gift in his or her own way and consider it a real blessing to be given the honor of watching your pet. I've been watching dogs for decades for family, neighbors and friends and loving it! I have always had dogs, helped my uncle raising schnauzer's, and done obedience work with several of my dogs - who were amazing! We have one dog, Emmie, a 15 yr old Havanese who while initially wary of new dogs and people becomes friends. She is pretty low key ( and toothless) and so dogs that have very high energy would not be a good fit. She accepts other dogs but doesn't usually care to play with them (but we do!!) We also require all dogs that we watch to be up to date on all immunizations, and are fully house broken and non aggressive. Dogs are welcome on our furniture and on our bed. We have a secure five foot fence in our back yard. My husband and I are retired and so are around home a lot, yet we are active and love to take walks and snuggle and play with the dogs! I have a five foot fenced in back yard. Dogs are welcome anywhere in our house including our bed. Our Havenese sleeps with us and yours is welcome too!

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was a kid. I finally adopted my own 13 years ago as puppies and rescued 2 in 2021. They are all senior dogs now with special needs- diet and medical. My one is diabetic and requires 2 injections a day. They all take medication and follow a schedule. I work from home which allows me to care for my four dogs. I have the ability to help others at this time and would love to make sure their pets are well cared for. I know how challenging it was to find care for our boys when I didn’t work from home. I care for someone’s pet as they ask me too and as I do my own. No feeding food they aren’t allowed (treats that aren’t authorized), hand feeding if necessary, plenty of potty breaks in the backyard to run (my dogs prance) and roll in the grass. I have beds and blankets for them to choose from and cuddle time on the sofa too.
“Carol & her frenchie boys (Romeo & Beauregard) are the best! Sable (my mini Schnauzer puppy) & I were visiting AZ for 2 weeks. I needed to find a trustworthy person & place for my sweet Sable during the day so I could work. After reading lots of Rover reviews, I took a leap of faith and booked with Carol. We hit the jackpot!!! Carol clearly is a dog lover and she takes caring for her canine guests very seriously! She has excellent communication skills and her home is set up specifically into zones to accommodate the varying needs of her puppy patrons (i.e. doggie door out to covered patio area, separated rooms with doggie gates & tiled floors for easy potty accident clean ups, safe/quite places for senior dogs, etc.). She only accepts fully vaccinated dogs which put my mind at ease that Sable wouldn't be exposed to any diseases while I'm getting her up to speed on her required shots (i.e. rabies, lepto, DHPP, etc.). Finally, Carol's was a great place for Sable to start getting better socialized with other dogs and learn some manners. ;-). About: I'm a first-year veterinary student at the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine, here in Oro Valley, AZ. As a student, I work with all kinds of animals, from companion animals to reptiles and farm animals! I graduated with my bachelor's degree in the pre-veterinary track from Arizona State University in 2025 and hope to graduate with my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2028. - I've been an animal lover since I was a child when I first started volunteering at the animal shelter! I've worked in veterinary clinics as a veterinary assistant throughout undergrad so I have a lot of experience with animals. I love pet-sitting through Rover as a de-stressor from school, as animals always make me happy :) - Meet and Greets are a must before our first booking to ensure I’m a good fit for you and your pet(s). - Lastly, pet safety is my priority at all times. I ensure that homes are left in the same original condition as upon arrival and lock up according to the owner’s instructions. I am currently a full time professional student doing Rover on the side to help pay off my student loans! - I still have school over the summer! My classes are from Monday-Friday. The times we have are variable for each day and are range from 8am-5pm. - Drop-ins/dog walking: We usually have a 1-hour break at 11am where I can stop by if you live close to my school, or I can come when classes are over for the day. - House-sitting: I am fully available to house-sit on weekends, but I have classes on weekdays. However, I can send you photos as often as you'd like so you feel confident that they are in good hands. I'll keep an eye out on messages during my stay so I can respond with updates. I will reliably follow the directions you give me, making sure your loved one(s) feel safe & happy! Please provide specific instructions for pet and home care, including safety protocols in your home. Otherwise, I'm careful to not disturb anything inside your home and will ensure it is locked up properly and cleaned up upon my departure! - Boarding/Daycare: I can only accommodate small-medium dogs with more calm personalities for boarding at this time. I live with my parents who are also animal lovers. We live in a dog-proof house with a fenced yard available for potty breaks. We can only accommodate either boarding or daycare at one time. About: Hello! I am a pet lover who grew up with Boston terriers for 20+ years. I also grew up working with dogs (Border Collies) on ranches, working side by side on various tasks. Because of my experience and comfort with dogs, I have been dog-sitting for friends and family my whole life. I have rarely met a dog I couldn't build trust with. I am working a full-time position at the University of Arizona. I am free from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m., 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays. I have full availability on weekends. I ensure to follow all the rules the pet owner has established. I will use commands and language the dog is familiar with to avoid confusion. I make sure the pets are exercised 2-3 times a day. Cleaned and brushed if needed. I am currently a veterinary student at the University of Arizona and am very experienced in animal care. I have pet sat all types of animals including dogs, cats, bunnies, parrots, and reptiles. About: I’ve had multiple types of animals since I was a young kid. I’ve raised several litters of labradors, I had a horse ranch for 15 1/2 years, we had six dogs and six cats and 20 horses on the ranch. I had to train the dogs and my barn cat to be around horses, so they wouldn’t get kicked or stepped on. I am retired, so I am pretty flexible for morning visits or walking, also afternoon visits are walking. I can board at my house if needed, I have 5 acres, all fenced, so plenty of room to run if you’d like to bring your pups to the house.
