About: We live in a house with a fenced in yard and have 1 dog, our lovely German Shephard named Harper. She is very social and likes playing with other dogs and does not mind sharing toys. Would like to lay on your lap and cuddle all day. I have been taking care of dogs since I was a child. This includes my own dogs, but also dogs of friends and family while they were on vacations. I have experience administering medication, as one of my previous dogs suffered from epilepsy and had to get medicine every 12 hours. About: We are a married couple in our 40s interested in house/pet-sitting together. We have pet-sat for a few NC and TN families for the past several years, and both of us had pet-sat before we met as well. Zachary works from home and so will be around the house much of the day if dogs need a mid-day walk or meal. Denny wakes up early and can feed and walk dogs in the early morning. She has shown up on time, sent pictures, and gotten them out to get the exercise and bathroom breaks they need. She has also communicated with me ahead of time to make sure she fills any special requests (like letting them eat on the way out, or shutting them in my bedroom afterwards. I would not hesitate to have her come walk them again, and I have already booked her to pet sit overnight for me soon.”

“Derek accepted my request to sit for my new 5mo pup while I had to travel for work for 3 weeks (which last minute became 4 weeks) and he was nothing short of fantastic the entire time. He has great communication with at all times respective to his working hours. He is happy to sending pics/videos as often as you'd like and at request when you're missing your baby extra hard. I only had my baby for 3 weeks before I had to travel so she had barely any training under her feet when Derek took her in, and he was so forgiving & sympathetic of any negative behavior which was above and beyond what I could have asked for. He has has his own dog & a foster that he made sure to introduce with my puppy appropriately and kept an eye on all their interactions together while they were all adjusting (which didn't take long at all, and my pup adored her well-behaved temporary brothers!). Derek was my first experience with Rover and I don't plan to seek out any other sitter unless Derek is unavailable, and he will my first recommendation to anyone else to need a sitter in Memphis. About: There has been one to two dogs in my family my entire life, I'm very familiar with them and I've never met a dog that didn't warm up to me within minutes. I'm a graduate student getting my PhD in biomedical sciences so I can work long days but I also don't have defined hours so I can take breaks to take care of pups. Dogs typically have to be kenneled unless I've watched them before and know I can trust them to not go to the bathroom in the house.
