“Derek accepted my request to sit for my new 5mo pup while I had to travel for work for 3 weeks (which last minute became 4 weeks) and he was nothing short of fantastic the entire time. He has great communication with at all times respective to his working hours. He is happy to sending pics/videos as often as you'd like and at request when you're missing your baby extra hard. I only had my baby for 3 weeks before I had to travel so she had barely any training under her feet when Derek took her in, and he was so forgiving & sympathetic of any negative behavior which was above and beyond what I could have asked for. He has has his own dog & a foster that he made sure to introduce with my puppy appropriately and kept an eye on all their interactions together while they were all adjusting (which didn't take long at all, and my pup adored her well-behaved temporary brothers!). Derek was my first experience with Rover and I don't plan to seek out any other sitter unless Derek is unavailable, and he will my first recommendation to anyone else to need a sitter in Memphis. They offered the use of their kennel for our puppy so I didn’t have to load up and bring our own. They had toys for our dogs to play with on top of the personal ones we brought. While I was away, my cat’s tail wounds reopened and she had to be taken to the emergency animal center to get them stitched back up. Not only did Mickale pick my cat up from the emergency center early in the morning and drop her off all the way across town at a pet boarding hospital, but she was incredible at communicating with me about what was happening throughout the entire time she was caring for my cat and she went so above and beyond with caring for my sweet kitty. My family used to rescue dogs and rehome them, so I have experience with a wide range of breeds from Great Danes to Yorkies to all kinds of kitties as well as a range of ages from newborns to seniors. About: We live in a house with a fenced in yard and have 1 dog, our lovely German Shephard named Harper. She is very social and likes playing with other dogs and does not mind sharing toys. About: We are a married couple in our 40s interested in house/pet-sitting together. We have pet-sat for a few NC and TN families for the past several years, and both of us had pet-sat before we met as well. Zachary works from home and so will be around the house much of the day if dogs need a mid-day walk or meal. Denny wakes up early and can feed and walk dogs in the early morning. Between us, we have experience with cats, dogs, fish, birds, rodents, rabbits, livestock, reptiles, and amphibians. We are willing to work with other animals as well. About: Ever since I was a little girl I was called “Dr. Do-little!” So once I was able to I started working in the veterinary field! I started working in the kennel, walking dogs, cleaning kennels, feeding, play times and extra snuggles with the cats. Eventually I worked my way up to veterinary technician and went to school for it. During all my years I learned all about dog/cat breeds. I learned about dogs body languages and signs I need to know to make sure they are always comfortable and also got to learn some training tricks along the way too! Now being retired I use all this knowledge while caring for pets and sometimes still teaching pet owners. We have the best dog park less than a mile from our home, we have the best walking trails as well. We live on the bottom floor of our apartment so we have a lovely patio that we get to enjoy while watching the sunset or rise! I love to be outside when it’s nice out so most every morning my husband, myself and our daughter go for a 2 mile walk and nice evening walks!
About: I’ve cared and handle for friends and family cats and dogs for years (mostly cats). I love playing with any pets and provide great play time. I have plenty of time to walk! I’m very flexible depending on my schedule for the week. I’m mostly free on the weekdays and can respond quickly. I treat every pet with respect and playfulness. About: I worked at the PetSmart Pets hotel for several years. I also worked at Camp Bow Wow. Ive taken care of lots of fur babies. I have a cat and a dog. I'm currently working part time as a receptionist. I work Monday-Thursday from 12PM-5PM. It leaves me with plenty of time to house sit and spend time caring for animals. I am respectful of other peoples spaces. I am loving towards all animals. When I am pet sitting I give the animals lots of attention. When i am house sitting I make sure to leave the space tidy. I am able to watch dogs overnight in my home. Again I have a dog who loves to play with other dogs. I kennel him when I leave the house for short periods of time. There are two dog parks in my area. We usually go on walks and hit up the dog park. I would bring your dog along with permission. I have open availability for pet sitting. I can pet sit at your house or mine. I am available for walks and drop ins too. My pets have breakfast in the morning and dinner in the evening. We go on a walk in the morning and then when I get off of work. We go to the dog park a lot. I make sure to keep the dogs on leashes whenever we leave the residence. <3
About: I'm an early bird so morning walks are always in; Sir Connor (Rest In Dog Paradise ) he was a shih tzu mixed. He was not neutered, because I wanted grand fur babies at the time. I have fostered over a dozen dogs and a handful of cats. Daisy May was an extra addition to the family while I was fostering a puppy I called Maxwell; Maxwell has been adopted by a caring couple! Daisy May is currently the only dog I have so far. Sitting Schedule: Breakfast is at 10:30. I'm reading on how to train dogs and so treats would be ideal for play time! Dinner is severed at 7:30 I feed twice a day. If I have your dog on the weekend, they get to go on a field trip to Overton Park or Mud Island Dog Park. They also get enrichment time with pet toys and snacks! I also groom on the weekend. I mostly had dogs as pets; I rescued a cat and named him Jeffery and he was adopted by a loving family. “Derek accepted my request to sit for my new 5mo pup while I had to travel for work for 3 weeks (which last minute became 4 weeks) and he was nothing short of fantastic the entire time. He has great communication with at all times respective to his working hours. He is happy to sending pics/videos as often as you'd like and at request when you're missing your baby extra hard. I only had my baby for 3 weeks before I had to travel so she had barely any training under her feet when Derek took her in, and he was so forgiving & sympathetic of any negative behavior which was above and beyond what I could have asked for. He has has his own dog & a foster that he made sure to introduce with my puppy appropriately and kept an eye on all their interactions together while they were all adjusting (which didn't take long at all, and my pup adored her well-behaved temporary brothers!).
