About: I grew up with dogs and have had my own for 6 years. I also have 2 cats I took in off the street. I've had high maintenance and nearly untrainable dogs. I currently have a regularly medicated bulldog. I also semi regularly do house/puppy sitting for family friends with a 110 pound American Bully. No animal is too stubborn or rowdy for me. I truly believe animals just need compassion to have a connection. I changed careers to have a more stable home life, which I needed. But it definitely created a lack of passion in my life. Id love to have the opportunity to do something I love. I work overnight, with frequent travel. But have most availability Friday through monday. With occasional weekdays, travel pending. In the event that I do I can only take them for a weekend due to apartment style living not being as suitable for a dog. However while they are here, I am able to walk them quite a bit in this area; Heights has great walkability. Most of my care would be for you at your home, walking, sitting, pickup, etc. If they like to grab treats, interact with people, etc. I can find an arrangement either you that works best for your pet. She ensured we felt comfortable with her home and set up. Her home is wonderfully set up to care for dogs/animals, you can tell this is not her first rodeo. While away, she kept us informed daily of happenings and handled anything that came up with our pup—and our dog is no perfect angel but she handled every curve ball he threw. Julissa was also very flexible with us regarding pick-up times and understanding of our personal situations for which I am grateful. Once we picked up our dog, he seemed happy and energized and I could tell he enjoyed his stay as well. I would definitely recommend Julissa to anyone for future dog sitting. “Mowgli had such a great time with Maru P. She and her family were so patient with him (and his drool)! While it was too hot for many walks, they made sure Mowgli was engaged by playing with the hose (Mowgli loves water). He also enjoyed the resident canines. That they so easily accepted this bouncy pig tells me how well-socialized they are. Maru was great at communicating with me, and she took my concerns that Mowgli not over do himself very seriously. He came home balanced - not exhausted and not overstimulated - which is exactly what I'm looking for in a sitter. We will be booking again!”
About: Hi, I’m Angie! I’ve been a dog lover and “dog mom” my entire life, and caring for animals has always been a big part of our family. My daughter is in her third year at LSU Veterinary School, and my son is a senior at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. When he’s home, he loves being my sidekick for walks, outings and dog activities. Dogs really are a family affair around here! I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes and personalities, from energetic dogs and multi-dog households to seniors, rescues and dogs with special needs. I’m comfortable with medications, detailed routines and adapting care to what each dog needs. I’ve also been on the client side of Rover, so I know how important it is to find someone you genuinely trust with your dog. I’ll keep you in the loop while you’re away, so you can relax knowing your dog is in good hands. I love getting to know each dog’s personality and what they enjoy. Whether that’s walks, backyard play, enrichment, a new place to sniff and explore, or just hanging out together, I want their time with me to feel less like being “left with a sitter” and more like spending time with someone they know. I have a flexible schedule and offer walks, drop-ins, daycare, boarding and house-sitting. I keep my schedule intentionally manageable so I can give the dogs in my care plenty of individual attention and flexibility. For Daycare and Boarding, I keep things small and personal rather than caring for a large group of dogs at once. Dogs are part of my day and get plenty of attention, playtime and outdoor time. For dogs who enjoy getting out, I’m also happy to mix things up with walks, enrichment, new sniffing spots or an occasional “field trip”. When I’m caring for pets in their own home, I follow the important parts of their routine while tailoring our time together to their personality and what they enjoy. I’m attentive to behavior, safety and the little details owners tell me about their pets.
