“We left our 16-year-old small dog with Jennifer And Irving for two nights in two days. She was a great communicator and sent us photos of Mattie during her stay. They were also very flexible about drop off and pick up. Mattie seemed to be having a good time in her photos. I was concerned they might not want to keep her because she sometimes has accidents and they said she did great (better than at home). Jennifer has two small dogs and three cats, and there were no reported disagreements. We will definitely use them again.”

I prioritize active, joyful outdoor time, including trips to the park, long walks, and relaxing together on the back porch! I'm correctly working part time and have a fairly flexible schedule. I want to be able to prioritize your pet's needs whether that looks like 1+ hour walks/ enrichment time or special feeding times and instructions. Your pets comfort is my number 1 priority. I love to go on long walks, go to the dog park, or used the fenced in dog space in my neighborhood to allow our babies the time they need to play and get the enrichment that they need. A pet is always welcome to make themselves at home in my space even if that means that I have to adapt certain things to their needs like assistance getting in bed for puppies and elder dogs or making sure that their favorite toys are always available for them to play with.

About: I’ve lived with dogs my whole life. I have had 3 golden doodles throughout my life, and my brother currently has a puppy that I help care for. I currently have two dogs at home and they are my best friends! I have also dog sat a good bit for dogs of all sizes. I am missing my dogs at college and would love to care for your dogs! I am a student at the University of Alabama, with classes from 11-3 Monday-Thursday. I am able to care for your pets most of the time outside of that window, including in the morning. I live in a house with three friends who are also big dog people. I am also able to drive to your house and provide care to your dogs there. I am really inspired by Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary and one day I hope to open my own animal sanctuary, but Rover will have to do for now. I've always had at least one dog in my house growing up. Right now I have two dogs as well as cats in my home. I also have a fenced yard to offer supervised play time and potty breaks. I'd be more than happy to drop in and make sure your lil' kitty-kat is well fed, played with, and has a clean litter box OR even host them in my cat room (AKA a quiet bedroom reserved just for cats that my pups do not have access to). Special skills: house training, crate training, medication administration- liquid and capsule, walking multiple (big) dogs at the same time, supervised play and feeding, etc. **Full disclosure: I am not on Rover for this to be my source of income. I keep my rates low because I know how expensive it can be when looking for trusted animal care, especially when you have more than one animal in the home and need to be away for more than a night. I just don't like the idea of having to stay in kennels, like at the vet! Thats what brought me to Rover as a client, now a sitter myself. I have a playroom for furbaby friends with plenty of toys, beds & a fenced in backyard for supervised potty & play! On pretty days we spend as much time outside as we can. We also have elevated beds outside, 2 little pup-pools, large grassy area & covered backporch with ceiling fans, patio umbrella & also a water misting fan to beat the heat! (Pup cups too!)🥰 My babies love everyone, but I know not everyone else's pups love the same things. Its important for them all feel safe & comfortable. I have kennels if needed, which we rarely use, with a spare room if needed. So if one wants to nap quietly & another wants to run & play, its no problem at all. My senior pup is 11 & will play some but mostly likes to lounge & watch the others; my twins are almost 2 & will play off & on all day, so your baby will have a great time! *I can do boarding in my home, sitter service, stop by for drop-in visit & feed/water, potty & play, or stop by & take them for a walk. I can stop by for kitty care, but cant board Ms/Mr Kitty at my house, sorry. *Ater hours pickup/drop off is no problem. My furkids are neutered/ spayed, fully vaccinated & get monthly heartworm/hookwork flea/tick prevention 💊 Prevention & good health is very important to me, as I would hope yours is taken care of also. Your baby is in good hands here, & will have plenty of playtime & treats; OR if we just want to nap, we love that too! 😊 ✨️Message me & let me know what days/times you need. I am also able to take your dogs on leashed walks on the river trail or around town. My schedule is pretty flexible, I work from home so I have lots of autonomy. I’m home most of the time so there’s constant supervision. I have a fenced yard and extra bedrooms to offer a quiet space if your pet prefers to be away from the pack. Otherwise, I allow the animals in the house to nap, roam, and play wherever they'd like. My dogs are pretty social, they get along well with others and enjoy the dog park. My cats are also used to being around dogs and are pretty relaxed about it.
About: I have been trusted to take care of my family and friends’ pets since I have had my own car. Now that I’m old enough I want to start looking after other people’s pets more because they say do what you love. I can’t have any dogs in my own household so I want to take care of other people’s babies the best that I can. I’m in college so it’s hard to navigate between being in my college town in my home town, but I’m doing the best I can to take care of as many pets as my schedule allows. I follow specific instructions and say with the pets as long as my schedule allows. I love to send pictures of the pets for their owners because I know how much I would miss my baby. I make sure I have eyes on the pets before I leave so I don’t close them in a room and notify parents of any weird behavior.
About: If I were to be asked my superpower of choice, I’d tell you I already have one. Never in my 23 years of life have a met an animal I couldn’t work with, including the mean old cat my mother inherited. I take pride in my work of taking care of animals, and find it equally as rewarding seeing pet parents not have to worry about their babies in my care. From juggling my own zoo at home, to being introduced into the Pet Care business as a teenager working at an equestrian barn, I have honed my skills at prioritizing the wellbeing of animals and their happiness. I will clean their messed with understanding, play with them to enrich their brains, note any worrying conditions or details to you with urgency, and overall be the sitter you’d wish to hired again and again. My long term plans are to start school again in the spring to further my education and professionalism working with animals, but until then pet sitting is my first priority. Working with horses, I’ve developed a patient and calm disposition towards aggressive or scared behaviors. I try not to overwhelm any animal, and allow them to grow accustomed to my presence before I take part in whatever needs to be done. Meeting with said pets for the first time is a bit tricky, but I make it a habit for the first meeting to be with owners before services are rendered so both the client and myself are sure the animal(s) will be ok.
About: Hello, I'm Jennifer. Since I was 8 years old, my whole family had a range of pets, including: dogs, cats, fresh water fish, iguanas, and birds. Irvin and I have currently been fostering for the last 17 years and work alongside the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter when needed as foster parents. As long as a client communicates, we can accommodate! My off days from my career are Thursday and Friday and I work 3pm-11pm (evenings). My lunch periods are VERY flexible, and I'm free anytime during my off hours. I'm the primary caregiver, and Irvin will help me as needed. I have a full fenced in yard, so caring for dogs isn't an issue. I can crate a pet if requested, and have multiple crates available at my home if one is needed so owners don't need to carry them. We know they're heavy!

About: I’ve lived with dogs my whole life. I have had 3 golden doodles throughout my life, and my brother currently has a puppy that I help care for. I currently have two dogs at home and they are my best friends! I have also dog sat a good bit for dogs of all sizes. I am missing my dogs at college and would love to care for your dogs! I am a student at the University of Alabama, with classes from 11-3 Monday-Thursday. I am able to care for your pets most of the time outside of that window, including in the morning. I live in a house with three friends who are also big dog people. I am also able to drive to your house and provide care to your dogs there.
