“I booked my two cats for boarding over six nights. My Mamacat is 17+ years old. Patch is 11+, diabetic and requires a daily insulin injections. They are 100% indoor cats. Mamacat is terribly nervous with new people, Patch not so much, but cautious. But I think I was more nervous for my babies, than any of us. I was so pleased with the reality of their stay. Due to all their existing issues, Teri housed them in a more isolated area of her home, by her master bedroom. So their contact was basically limited to Teri and her husband. Photos and updates came daily showing evidence of my kitties' progressive relaxation and adjustment. My heart was breathing a sigh of relief. One note. Due to the need of a more isolated & protected area, there was cigarette smoking in the farthest area where they were housed. For me this wasn't an issue at all. I only mention it since, in a similarly limiting need as mine, it might make a difference in decisions. It protected my "nervous nellies"; they were at ease, and I was pleased. In fact, I've already made a second booking!! I'm so grateful to have found Teri for watching my somewhat special needs furry family members. P.S. I saw a beautiful, healthy horse in the adjacent pasture. Then her personal cat came walking across the yard. As a cat lover I'm compelled to attempt petting all that I see. He was friendly, healthy and obviously happy. My nervousness immediately lowered a couple notches. I absolutely recommend Teri to look after your furbearing loved ones.”
“If I could leave 10 out of 5 stars I would! Amanda was wonderful and we could not have asked for a better experience. Besides being kind, gentle, and thoughtful, she was very caring and gave our dog lots of attention. We had multiple pictures and videos, which were so nice. She took Oliver on walks every day, not down the street, but to a park every day. She also fed him home cooked chicken (with my approval) to try to get him to eat (picky eater!). I know Oliver had a great time and it was so nice not worrying about our little boy! We will definitely use her again! Thank you Amanda!”

About: Ever since I was 6 years old I’ve had an unusual connection with dogs. They are my world. For some reason they always seem to find me. I’m the person you see on the highway going after a lost dog. I’ve had 6 dogs at once before. I can’t seem to say no to dogs needing a home. It’s my happiness. I have my own company and pick my own hours so I’m able to work around schedules to make sure I take care of the animals. About: I own a small kennel,Small Paws Kennel, for small to medium sized dogs in Sterrett. I currently have a few empty kennels,to be used for dog boarding and daytime care. Dogs will not be around cats,and will remain away from children if nervous or aggressive. They will be homed in a kennel with plenty of food,water,treats,and an outdoor run of their own. They will not have to interact with other dogs. I have pet sitter in the past,and try to make sure to follow notes about a dog's preference of what makes them nervous,what treats they like,any meds needed,and so forth. I'm currently staying at home to take care of and homeschool my two girls,as well as running a small kennel,so your dog will get plenty of care and attention. I make sure to check on boarded dogs daily,so that they have plenty of fresh water,food,and get a chewbone or treat daily...as well as some petting and attention. I have a small kennel. There are separate indoor kennels,with dog doors that lead out to 4*8 separated runs,so dogs are separate and safe. These runs are surrounded by a larger cattle fence,that fence in all the runs together and allows for a play yard for exercise outside of the runs. That way each dog can get out daily for some play time with toys and a small pool,for hot days.
“Poppy is special, not just to me, but to everyone she meets so traveling with her can be a challenge. I always want to make sure she is cared for in a loving, safe, and comfortable environment. After a last-minute confirmation that I needed to be in Talladega for three days, I was extremely lucky to find Cassandra and her husband. They took wonderful care of Poppy during the day while I worked, and I was still able to have her with me overnight, which made the whole trip so much easier. Cassandra was responsive, communicative, and sent great photo updates, which gave me total peace of mind. I highly recommend her for any pet-sitting needs in the Birmingham area especially if you’re traveling between Birmingham and Talladega. Great experience all around!”
About: I have over three years experience of volunteering at a pet clinic, as well as owning everything from a Standard poodle to tea cup Chihuahua! “Flash had a great day in Doggie Daycare with Emily and her family! They played with him and took him for a walk. They were very accommodating in setting times for Flash and me to meet them and for dropping him off and picking him up. They followed the feeding instructions and made room for his dog bed and toys in their home. I really liked it that they lived in a beautiful neighborhood with sidewalks and that they had a nice fenced in back yard. You can tell they love dogs and it made me happy that Flash was comfortable with them. I recommend them as dog sitters and plan to book with them again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for 10 plus years. You will not have to worry about your pet with me I will make sure to send you as many updates you want and by the end of the stay your fur baby will have a new best friend (: I’m currently helping clean houses during the week but I still have plenty of free time to help you with your fur baby, I will be able to rearrange my schedule as needed. I will make sure your fur baby has food and water, I go by the book when given instructions on how you want your fur baby taken care of, I don’t mind crating them but if you don’t crate them I am absolutely be okay with them cuddling up to me while we watch tv. I can do check ins so that way I can spend 30 minutes to an hour making sure your fur baby goes on a walk and has exercise.

“I booked my two cats for boarding over six nights. My Mamacat is 17+ years old. Patch is 11+, diabetic and requires a daily insulin injections. They are 100% indoor cats. Mamacat is terribly nervous with new people, Patch not so much, but cautious. But I think I was more nervous for my babies, than any of us. I was so pleased with the reality of their stay. Due to all their existing issues, Teri housed them in a more isolated area of her home, by her master bedroom. So their contact was basically limited to Teri and her husband. Photos and updates came daily showing evidence of my kitties' progressive relaxation and adjustment. My heart was breathing a sigh of relief. One note. Due to the need of a more isolated & protected area, there was cigarette smoking in the farthest area where they were housed. For me this wasn't an issue at all. I only mention it since, in a similarly limiting need as mine, it might make a difference in decisions. It protected my "nervous nellies"; they were at ease, and I was pleased. In fact, I've already made a second booking!! I'm so grateful to have found Teri for watching my somewhat special needs furry family members. P.S. I saw a beautiful, healthy horse in the adjacent pasture. Then her personal cat came walking across the yard. As a cat lover I'm compelled to attempt petting all that I see. He was friendly, healthy and obviously happy. My nervousness immediately lowered a couple notches. I absolutely recommend Teri to look after your furbearing loved ones.”
“If I could leave 10 out of 5 stars I would! Amanda was wonderful and we could not have asked for a better experience. Besides being kind, gentle, and thoughtful, she was very caring and gave our dog lots of attention. We had multiple pictures and videos, which were so nice. She took Oliver on walks every day, not down the street, but to a park every day. She also fed him home cooked chicken (with my approval) to try to get him to eat (picky eater!). I know Oliver had a great time and it was so nice not worrying about our little boy! We will definitely use her again! Thank you Amanda!”
