Boone had gotten crate resistant in the past few weeks. He would cry and bark throughout the night and make sleeping a chore for us all. Ray was able to break this bad habit and give us our sleep back. He also completely got Boone off of wet food. Ray sent us pictures, videos, and updates multiple times a day. About: Growing up we always had dogs in our family. My Experience in pet care is from having my own pets and caring for friends and families. I love animals and have over a decade of experience in caring for dogs, cats, horses, mules, donkey's and pigs. Now I just have my two dogs but the are like our family. I have 5 years experience caring for elderly dog (my own) that needed special care and medications. I am currently not working any other jobs at this time and will have plenty of time to spend with you sweet fur baby or babies. I have a fenced in back yard with 2 of my own fur babies. After a last-minute confirmation that I needed to be in Talladega for three days, I was extremely lucky to find Cassandra and her husband. They took wonderful care of Poppy during the day while I worked, and I was still able to have her with me overnight, which made the whole trip so much easier. They were very accommodating in setting times for Flash and me to meet them and for dropping him off and picking him up. They followed the feeding instructions and made room for his dog bed and toys in their home. I really liked it that they lived in a beautiful neighborhood with sidewalks and that they had a nice fenced in back yard. I particularly enjoy working with shy and anxious dogs and cats. As a sitter, I pay attention to the details, such as pet body language and making sure food and water bowls are cleaned, and I am diligent in keeping pets out of potentially dangerous situations. Overnight dog sits include at least one walk a day unless otherwise specified or the weather prevents it, in which case indoor playtime will be had instead. I am comfortable administering medications, including injections. I am avaliable for constant care overnights (no leaving the dog(s) alone) for an additional fee. I am self-employed, so my schedule is extremely flexible and I am avaliable for constant care for an additional rate. Most of my exercise comes from walking dogs, so I am more than happy to take the long route if your pooch is up for it! I am very careful with your pets, avoiding encounters with unfamiliar dogs or people to avoid conflicts. About: Growing up I had experience with a lot of types of animals, from cats, dogs, sheep, pigs, cows and horses. In my adult life, I have had a lab mix and have had 4 boxers (3 currently still in the home) and a siamese mixed cat. I learned a lot about dog behavior when I got my first boxer through training, and feel like that has helped me with other dogs too. Two of my current boxers are seniors and they take meds so I am familiar with those types of things and my other one is 8 months old so I am currently also in the puppy phases as well. I do have a full-time job. Evenings and weekends are the best time for me on some days. I often work from home later in the week so I can be flexible those days. I am definitely open to chatting about options. I will keep my calendar up to date based on my availability. If your pups are coming to my house, I have a fenced in yard. I do have a pool, but I go outside with all pups for safety reasons. If your dog loves to swim let me know! I also have a quiet neighborhood for a nice leashed walk. I do have a lot of stairs so if you have a senior dog that has mobility issues my house might not be the best option. If they go out on a leash this would be less of an issue b/c I can take them for a walk out front. I crate my puppy when I am gone, and can crate your dog when/if you would like me too. I would like any special instructions about medications/food/behavior etc that are specific to your pets. I would need any specific instructions for your in home stays with your pets.
About: I am comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes from my experience in a vet clinic. I know what to look for when a dog is feeling un well or anxious. I have my own dog that is a cocker spaniel and he lives to play! I currently work at a job where I handle multiple dogs at once and I love it! I go on lots of walks and have a big yard to play! I work a part time job and am in college in town. I Am home most of the day on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Saturdays are my busy days but am still available to board. Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays are a little more unpredictable w my schedule but I am home by 5 maybe before. I have a large fenced yard and live across from a large dog friendly park/walking trail. I have a friendly dog to keep your baby company! If your dog is not crate trained it is no problem. And if they are, I have large crates.

“Ray is fantastic. I would classify Ray as more of a dog whisperer than dog sitter. We boarded our very lively 8 month old puppy, Boone, with Ray for 5 nights. Boone had gotten crate resistant in the past few weeks. He would cry and bark throughout the night and make sleeping a chore for us all. Ray was able to break this bad habit and give us our sleep back. He also completely got Boone off of wet food. Ray sent us pictures, videos, and updates multiple times a day. Ray really does a great job and has a gift with dogs. I would highly recommend his services and will be using him again in the future.”
“Barrie keeps my dog, Finn, fairly often, and I can’t recommend her enough. He absolutely loves going over to her house as well as being with her, which is so comforting when I’m traveling. She also takes the best pup photos, which I greatly appreciate because he won’t sit still for me!”

“If I could leave 10 out of 5 stars I would! Amanda was wonderful and we could not have asked for a better experience. Besides being kind, gentle, and thoughtful, she was very caring and gave our dog lots of attention. We had multiple pictures and videos, which were so nice. She took Oliver on walks every day, not down the street, but to a park every day. She also fed him home cooked chicken (with my approval) to try to get him to eat (picky eater!). I know Oliver had a great time and it was so nice not worrying about our little boy! We will definitely use her again! Thank you Amanda!”
