About: We love dogs! But right now with 7 kids in the throws of school and all the extracurriculars, it’s just not the right time for us to have our own furry family member, so let us love on yours! My husband and I each had dogs growing up and we had a family dog until he passed away a few years ago. We have been boarding, walking, and doing drop-ins since that time. From puppies to senior dogs, we can take care of them all. I am a stay-at-home mom who homeschools my 7 children, so we’re home the majority of the time and will be able to fit in your dog’s regular schedule into our every day routine. When pets stay at our house we do our best to keep the same schedule and expectations the dogs have come to know at their homes. I enjoy going for walks at the park and visiting the dog park with dogs who are accustomed to it. We do not have a fenced yard, so I make sure each pet gets adequate exercise each day on a leash. When I come to your home, I will follow your directions exactly as you desire and provide pictures and GPS “walking time cards” via Rover so you can be assured your pet is receiving the high quality care you paid for!

“If I could leave 10 out of 5 stars I would! Amanda was wonderful and we could not have asked for a better experience. Besides being kind, gentle, and thoughtful, she was very caring and gave our dog lots of attention. We had multiple pictures and videos, which were so nice. She took Oliver on walks every day, not down the street, but to a park every day. She also fed him home cooked chicken (with my approval) to try to get him to eat (picky eater!). I know Oliver had a great time and it was so nice not worrying about our little boy! We will definitely use her again! Thank you Amanda!”

“Sarah is the best! This is the first time we have used Rover and Sarah exceeded expectations! We received photo updates of our dog during her stay. Pancake came back a very happy girl!”

“Harold is awesome. He has kind, calm energy and Flo immediately felt comfortable in his home. He sends lots of pictures and Flo got plenty of love and attention. Will definitely call on Harold again!”

“Ashley was awesome with our two Boxer girls! Mags and Su had a blast playing in the big fenced back yard & with her pup and senior Boxer. I honestly think Su is going to have separation anxiety from Freya, she loved playing with her so much!! Ashley sent daily updates with photos/videos. We would highly recommend, especially if you have a Boxer, trusting Ashley with your fur babes!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a child! From growing up with them, to helping friends and family, to fostering for shelters and rescues! I work full time, but do have allotted time to run home to let pets out/feed! My boyfriend is also a huge help to filling any gaps! I ensure all pets receive the best care! “Barrie loved my dog so well! He had lots of love and attention and was so happy when I came to pick him up. Will definitely rebook when I am in Birmingham again.”

“I booked my two cats for boarding over six nights. My Mamacat is 17+ years old. Patch is 11+, diabetic and requires a daily insulin injections. They are 100% indoor cats. Mamacat is terribly nervous with new people, Patch not so much, but cautious. But I think I was more nervous for my babies, than any of us. I was so pleased with the reality of their stay. Due to all their existing issues, Teri housed them in a more isolated area of her home, by her master bedroom. So their contact was basically limited to Teri and her husband. Photos and updates came daily showing evidence of my kitties' progressive relaxation and adjustment. My heart was breathing a sigh of relief. One note. Due to the need of a more isolated & protected area, there was cigarette smoking in the farthest area where they were housed. For me this wasn't an issue at all. I only mention it since, in a similarly limiting need as mine, it might make a difference in decisions. It protected my "nervous nellies"; they were at ease, and I was pleased. In fact, I've already made a second booking!! I'm so grateful to have found Teri for watching my somewhat special needs furry family members. P.S. I saw a beautiful, healthy horse in the adjacent pasture. Then her personal cat came walking across the yard. As a cat lover I'm compelled to attempt petting all that I see. He was friendly, healthy and obviously happy. My nervousness immediately lowered a couple notches. I absolutely recommend Teri to look after your furbearing loved ones.”

“Madison took amazing care of our pets like they were her own! She was very gentle and loving and took lots of notes and asked lots of questions. We couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“I was anxious about leaving my cat to a stranger, as he has had past traumas, but I am SO glad I found Lesley. She is the BEST and all of her updates made me laugh and smile. I was able to relax on my vacation knowing he was in great hands! I can tell my cat really loves her. She even brought a cat toy to play with him. 🥹 We are so so thankful to have met Lesley. She’s a wonderful person and took really good care of my little stinker. She’s my new go to!”

“Addison is the best, she was comfortable handling my high maintenance senior cat, and super cool with my weird younger kitty. She communicates well and I really appreciate her!”

“Kayla was an amazing cat sitter. She did a wonderful job and was very communicative. She took my assignment of the last minute and followed through like a trooper. I appreciate her.”

About: I’ve been handling animals ever since I was 13, this includes cats, dogs, and even bunnies! (I had one that I let free roam). Cats and Bigger dogs are always a personal favorite but I truly love animals and even considered going into veterinary sciences! I can assure you, your animal is in great hands seeing as I have a cat and two dogs myself!
“Katelynn was wonderful with our multi-cat household. The kitties really liked her: even our skittish indoor-outdoor cat would come in for the night when she arrived. She gave them excellent care, including medicating our senior cat. And she gave each one some attention on each visit. We are so happy! We'll call on Katelynn again!”

About: I have been pet sitting for friends, family and neighbors for 30 years. When it comes to pet care, I don’t just “watch” animals, I learn them. I pay attention to the tiny tells, the tail angles, the side glances, the way they circle twice instead of three times before settling in. That means your pet isn’t getting a generic routine, they’re getting care shaped around their personality, quirks, and comfort. I communicate clearly and consistently, so you’re never left wondering how things are going. With me, your pets feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for, and you feel confident know they're in capable, attentive hands. I'm currently a homemaker and would be able to accommodate your schedule through the week and on the weekends with pet care in your home or ours. Both of our boys are rescues and have been enjoying their furever homes. Kevin (dog) found us and hasn't left our sides since coming into our lives. Uncle Ricky (cat) was adopted from a shelter and has become the most loving cat we've ever had. They are loved and spoiled beyond belief.
About: I've been pet sitting since I was six. Anything from pet walking to getting my aunt to drive me to do drop in visits. I have many pets of my own and bathe/groom my doodles. I promise to love your babies just as I do my own ! I'm currently four days a week so I am able to spend a great deal of time caring for your furbabies and making sure they get the love and care they need. I place pet safety and care at the top of my priority list when caring for any animal whether it be my own or someone else's. I believe that each pet is unique in their need for care and I am willing to go above and beyond. Any special accommodations that are needed can definitely be made!
“Ashley was amazing. She kept me informed on the boys and sent some amazing pictures and a video of them playing. Will definitely keep her in mine for our next trip. Highly recommend!!!”

“Poppy is special, not just to me, but to everyone she meets so traveling with her can be a challenge. I always want to make sure she is cared for in a loving, safe, and comfortable environment. After a last-minute confirmation that I needed to be in Talladega for three days, I was extremely lucky to find Cassandra and her husband. They took wonderful care of Poppy during the day while I worked, and I was still able to have her with me overnight, which made the whole trip so much easier. Cassandra was responsive, communicative, and sent great photo updates, which gave me total peace of mind. I highly recommend her for any pet-sitting needs in the Birmingham area especially if you’re traveling between Birmingham and Talladega. Great experience all around!”

About: I own a small kennel,Small Paws Kennel, for small to medium sized dogs in Sterrett. I currently have a few empty kennels,to be used for dog boarding and daytime care. Dogs will not be around cats, and will remain away from children if nervous or aggressive. They will be homed in a kennel with plenty of food, water, treats, and an outdoor run of their own. They will not have to interact with other dogs. I have pet sitter in the past, and try to make sure to follow notes about a dog's preference of what makes them nervous, what treats they like, any meds needed, and so forth. I'm currently staying at home to take care of and homeschool my two girls,as well as running a small kennel,so your dog will get plenty of care and attention. I make sure to check on boarded dogs daily,so that they have plenty of fresh water, food, and get a chewbone or treat daily...as well as some petting and attention. I have a small kennel. There are separate indoor kennels, with dog doors that lead out to 4*8 separated runs,so dogs are separate and safe. These runs are surrounded by a larger cattle fence, that fence in all the runs together and allows for a play yard for exercise outside of the runs. That way each dog can get out daily for some play time with toys and a small pool, for hot days.

“Sent tons of pictures which was much appreciated, very communicative and definitely made me feel at ease about my puppy! He’s so high energy and is always super crazy but he was tired when I got home after their walk/ play time! 11/10 recommend, and will definitely be booking with her again. I’ve had such terrible experiences with two other rover’s before so this was a very nice and pleasant change of pace. I do have a 4 year old who will be home during the summer but will be in school starting August but he is very good with animals. I look forward to hearing from you.

I understand how important peace of mind is when trusting someone with your pets and home. I use leashes or secure harnesses during outdoor time, monitor pet interactions carefully, maintain clean feeding routines, and follow household instructions closely to help keep pets safe and stress-free. A typical visit may include: • Walks or exercise • Potty breaks • Fresh food and water • Medication administration if needed • Playtime and enrichment • Calm companionship • Safety checks • Photo and Rover Card updates I know every pet has their own personality, comfort level, and routines, so I tailor care to fit what helps them feel happiest and most secure. I believe dogs thrive best with patience, consistency, routine, and clear boundaries. I take time to learn each dog’s personality, energy level, comfort needs, and daily routine so care feels as stress-free and familiar as possible while you’re away.

“Kaitlyn is one of the best sitters on Rover! She is so kind and accommodating. She let me know what was going on with my dog, and I had no concerns about Chloe’s safety. She even sent us home with a little gift. I highly recommend using Kaitlyn for all pet sitting needs 🖤”
