About: I’ve lived with dogs my whole life. I have had 3 golden doodles throughout my life, and my brother currently has a puppy that I help care for. I currently have two dogs at home and they are my best friends! I have also dog sat a good bit for dogs of all sizes. I am missing my dogs at college and would love to care for your dogs! I am a student at the University of Alabama, with classes from 11-3 Monday-Thursday. I am able to care for your pets most of the time outside of that window, including in the morning. I live in a house with three friends who are also big dog people. I am also able to drive to your house and provide care to your dogs there. I am flexible with timing and can make multiple visits a day.
About: I have three years of dog-sitting experience, caring for everything from energetic puppies to gentle seniors. As a proud pet parent myself, I believe in showering our babies with all the love and affection their precious lives deserve. I prioritize active, joyful outdoor time, including trips to the park, long walks, and relaxing together on the back porch! I'm correctly working part time and have a fairly flexible schedule. I want to be able to prioritize your pet's needs whether that looks like 1+ hour walks/ enrichment time or special feeding times and instructions. Your pets comfort is my number 1 priority. I love to go on long walks, go to the dog park, or used the fenced in dog space in my neighborhood to allow our babies the time they need to play and get the enrichment that they need. A pet is always welcome to make themselves at home in my space even if that means that I have to adapt certain things to their needs like assistance getting in bed for puppies and elder dogs or making sure that their favorite toys are always available for them to play with.

“Gina is wonderful! We had tried a few places to bring our dog when we left town and Gina's place has been the best place for our fur baby :) she is very punctual, responsive, available, and always provides a detailed update that we appreciate. We like to use her regularly knowing Rooney is in good hands and has two other nice dogs to play with in a fenced back yard! Thanks Gina!”

“So impressed! Sitter arrives when she says she will and stays long enough to not only complete jobs, but also spends quality time with our feline “children”!! The photos and Rover Card are a definite plus!!! Thank you so much!!!!”

“Annika was absolutely fantastic! She watched our cat (Seamus) while my wife and I were on vacation this Christmas and made us feel completely at ease while we were gone! She gave us detailed reports each time she stopped by the house to check on him, as well as plenty of great photos. It’s obvious that she is a true animal lover! Would definitely recommend Annika to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“Jake took such great care of my pets! He was able to handle my cat, senior dog and our puppies, was such a lifesaver while I was out of town. The pictures he took are so cute too, would definitely recommend Jake watching your pets, he treated them with a lot of care.”

“She took great care of my cat while I was away! She was reliable, sent updates, and made me feel so much more at ease knowing he was in good hands. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Jennifer watched over my cat for a little over 2 weeks. Every single day we received an update with pictures and videos! I never once worried about the care he received. She was very flexible when our flight got delayed and was able to come an extra night! She even brought my cat a few boxes to play with! Would highly recommend Jennifer!”

“Abby was absolutely amazing at caring for my kitty, who was recovering from an UTI, over the holiday break. I was gone multiple weeks and she made sure my kitty was well fed, spoiled with catnip, and given love. She also went absolutely above and beyond while maintaining our clean litter box and even vacuumed when my kitty tracked litter out. She sent adorable photos every visit and I truly felt my cat was in great hands. My baby didn't even have a stress UTI when I returned home, which I credit all to Abby dropping in and making my cat feel safe while I was away. I will definitely use her again when I travel and highly recommend her to anyone needing care.”

“April was great to work with. She reassured us that our cat would be well taken care of while we were out of town, and she sent photos and videos during each visit, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. We would absolutely trust her to pet sit again anytime.”

“It was my first time using a pet sitter service and Jordan was just the best kitty sitter for my girl cat. Even when my cat is super shy and scary, she loved Jordan that much. She followed all my instructions and my baby was super happy with her. I will hire her again for sure. Thanks a lot Jordan!”

“Landon was amazing with my dog snoopy. He stayed with him the whole time and gave him that last minute playtime/potty break. I’m grateful for the care he gave snoopy and I’ll definitely book again and recommend him. He was the best with my energetic pup.”

About: I have a special love for our feline friends. Cats have a very specific way of loving and a specific way they like to be loved! I've had several cats of my own, and I just adore caring for them, and I have been cat-siting for seven years now. They require a lot of patience, and I feel like that's a very important quality to look for in a cat-sitter. Thank you so much for considering me!
About: I have taken care of primarily dogs and some cats for family members and friends since I was young. I love being able to help any furry friend, and I even volunteered at the humane society for a few months! I am currently a student at the university so I have early mornings, evenings, and the weekends available! I love to walk and run on the Black Warrior Riverwalk, as well as around campus. I have three shelties at home that I enjoy letting run around outside with an invisible fence and take on walks in the woods or greenways. They have a very active and calm lifestyle, with lots of cuddles and attention to go with their adventures on free days! They get fed twice a day and get a little bedtime treat each night :)

“Mallory was so sweet with our cats - she had one of them purring in her arms on her first visit, which never happens that quickly! She was also a trooper when one of our babies was unusually tricky about getting his insulin, and it was clear that she took their care very seriously. She was responsible, communicative, and friendly - and really couldn't have done a better job. Our cats are family members and we have high standards for their care, so that is saying a lot. :) We'd love to have her petsit for us again anytime and would definitely recommend her to anyone!”

“Jennifer and Erwin were AMAZING! She was lovely and communicated with me quickly and clearly. She took great care of my kitten. She even washed my kittens blanket!! Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter.”

“Talhia was absolutely wonderful! this was my first time leaving my baby with someone else and she made me feel so much comfort. She sent pictures to me throughout the whole entire day , gave me updates on how she was doing, and loved my baby like it was her own. She will most definitely be my number one contact when I have to leave my baby.”

“I really appreciate Morgan. My schedule unfortunately almost caused a conflict with hers and she still went above and beyond to make sure Max enjoyed himself. Even as I picked Max up he continued to attempt to leave the car to go back with her, I could tell he enjoyed himself with her dog as well. Very appreciative! Definitely reach out to her about your fur baby.”

“Samantha did an amazing job! She was very accommodating as our drop off time was very last minute. She sent updates and we felt like our pup was in great hands the whole time. We will definitely reach out again when we are back in the area.”

“Zoe has a level of care for pets and for people that makes her stand out from the rest. She puts in so much time and love into making sure you AND your pet is comfortable. By far one of the best communicators I’ve encountered on Rover. Cannot say enough great things. 100/10”

About: Hello! I'm looking forward to spending some of my time caring for your pets while you're away! I am really inspired by Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary and one day I hope to open my own animal sanctuary, but Rover will have to do for now. I've always had at least one dog in my house growing up. Right now I have two dogs as well as cats in my home. I also have a fenced yard to offer supervised play time and potty breaks. I'd be more than happy to drop in and make sure your lil' kitty-kat is well fed, played with, and has a clean litter box OR even host them in my cat room (AKA a quiet bedroom reserved just for cats that my pups do not have access to). Special skills: house training, crate training, medication administration- liquid and capsule, walking multiple (big) dogs at the same time, supervised play and feeding, etc. **Full disclosure: I am not on Rover for this to be my source of income. I keep my rates low because I know how expensive it can be when looking for trusted animal care, especially when you have more than one animal in the home and need to be away for more than a night. I am just offering the quality of care I want given to my animals when I am away. Any questions? Let's talk! My schedule during the day is pretty flexible as I work from home full time. I am also free during the weekend. What kind of care are you looking for and what days do you have in mind? I do offer a fenced yard and calm, child-free day care and pet sitting for those with proof of vaccination. I live in a house with plenty of room to stretch out and get comfortable. I am also able to take your dogs on leashed walks on the river trail or around town. My schedule is pretty flexible, I work from home so I have lots of autonomy. I’m home most of the time so there’s constant supervision. I have a fenced yard and extra bedrooms to offer a quiet space if your pet prefers to be away from the pack. Otherwise, I allow the animals in the house to nap, roam, and play wherever they'd like. My dogs are pretty social, they get along well with others and enjoy the dog park. My cats are also used to being around dogs and are pretty relaxed about it.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for 4 years! I have three goldens of my own and understand how they can can be like family! 🫶🏼 I would be so excited to take care of your pets while you are away! I am also an AKC affiliated dog breeder of two years! I a college student who does online school so I’m available to care for your pets 3-4 times a day if desired. I usually am free any time of the day to come take your dog for a walk, check on them, or stay over night! I do live in a mobile home with three Goldens. The downside is I do not have a fenced in back yard, but the upside is I’m with them 16-24 hours of the day until their owners arrive back home! If a client ask me to stay at their home I usually follow their instructions with how many times they want me to come and if they want me to stay overnight! 🫶🏼

About: Every dog is treated like family and cared for in a quiet, low-stress (300 acre) farm environment designed around their comfort and routine. With over 15 years of experience, I specialize in small-scale, boutique boarding with only dogs from one family at a time, ensuring close attention, consistency, and a calm atmosphere. Dogs follow a steady, predictable routine that includes outdoor time in a large fenced play area with partial shade for running and play, daily leash walks around the property, enrichment activities, and rest tailored to each dog’s individual needs and energy level. Dogs are thoughtfully matched by temperament to support a safe, comfortable environment. I have two well-socialized dogs of my own who enjoy other dogs, but interaction is always based on each visiting dog’s comfort level. If a dog prefers space or does best without other dogs, they can have a calm, low-traffic stay with minimal or no interaction. For dogs who enjoy socializing, my dogs provide friendly companionship in a supervised, relaxed setting. For dogs who do best on their own, I also offer the option of exclusive care—meaning no other client dogs will be booked during their stay. This allows for a fully personalized experience with my full attention. Dogs stay in a clean, climate-controlled indoor suite with indoor rest areas and direct access to a private fenced outdoor space. The focus is on individualized, attentive care where each dog can relax, feel secure, and settle in quickly. Caring for your dog is part of my daily routine since I’m home full-time on the 300 acre farm with the dogs throughout the day. Dogs enjoy a consistent schedule that includes outdoor play, walks, enrichment, meals, and rest, all tailored to their individual needs and energy levels. I stay hands-on with their care and provide regular updates so you feel comfortable while you're away. I provide structured, attentive care in a calm farm setting designed to help dogs feel safe and comfortable. Dogs enjoy outdoor play, leash walks, enrichment activities, meals, and rest breaks tailored to their individual needs and energy levels. I provide regular up-dates with photos and videos, and you can check in any time to see how your pup is doing. Dogs have access to a clean, climate-controlled indoors, which is especially helpful for dogs who need their own space or do best with limited interaction. Since I also have two dogs of my own, I carefully manage introductions and can provide fully separate accommodations with no direct contact with other dogs if needed. There’s also a separate large fenced and partially shaded outdoor area where dogs can safely play, explore, and relax throughout the day.

“Julia was wonderful with our dogs, and her communication was excellent throughout the entire process. She was incredibly patient, quickly bonded with them, and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our pets. We highly recommend Julia and would gladly have her care for our dogs again! Shannon”
About: I have grown up with dogs all of my life! I currently have two Labradors at home and have tons of experience with walking, training, and puppy sitting. I am a huge dog lover and would love to help take care of your pups!! I am currently a student at the University of Alabama and have a pretty light class load! I have 1-2 classes in the morning each day so I am mainly free in the afternoons:) In my clients home, I will provide high quality care according to owner specifications!! I will feed and make sure your pup has water, exercise and play with them, spend some quality time, clean up, and throughout provide updates with photos or messages.
About: Since I was little, I was around animals all the time. My mom‘s cat lady gene was very strong, because I have six very special cats myself: Ruby (an orange tabby with three legs), Freya (a long-haired dilute torbie), Luna (a silly calico), Phoebe (a tortie with white socks), Callisto (a gray teddybear who came to us as a yard stray) and Poe (void cat who was born in our house). Although I do not want the commitment of adding a dog to the mix full-time, I also love taking care and playing with all puppers! I work full-time during the week, but I have a flexible work times. I can schedule walks and check-ups early in the mornings and starting after 5 pm in the afternoon. I am available most weekends, both Saturday and Sunday. I will familiarize myself with your space and where your pets are allowed. It is important to me to understand if your pet will try to test limits and rules with me that might apply in your home. Both cats and dogs react differently to strangers, so it is important for me to not force them to interact if they want their space.
About: Well I took care of my elderly neighbor dog for 4 months and I had my own husky that I took care of when I was twelve so I have experience with hyper dog and one that are more calm My schedule is built around my college classes, which means I have dedicated, reliable gaps during the middle of the day perfect for mid-day walks, feeding, and potty breaks. Because I manage my study time closely, I am fully focused and present during the hours I am booked. I keep my calendar updated with my exact class times, so you can always count on me to show up right on time and give your pup the exercise and attention they need. Since I provide care directly at your home, my number one priority is maintaining your dog's safety and peace of mind in their own environment. Growing up with a Husky taught me to always be hyper-aware of safety—I double-check that all doors, gates, and crates are completely secure before I leave, and I keep a firm, confident grip on the leash during walks to handle any sudden pulls or distractions.I treat your home with the utmost respect, always leaving it exactly as I found it. I stick strictly to the feeding, bathroom, and exercise routines you set so your dog's day stays predictable and stress-free. Plus, I love sending plenty of photo and text updates during my visits so you can see exactly how much fun your pup is having.
About: I am super flexible and comfortable with dog care. I currently have an energetic young german shepherd so I understand the importance of dogs getting lots of exercise so that they can relax throughout the day. The main breeds I have experience with are Labs/Retrievers, German Shepherds, Beagles, Mixed Breed herding dogs, and Horses! I understand when dogs want to play and when they need their own space to relax. I currently have a german shepherd that I exercise twice a day either by walking, hiking, fetching or chasing hose water. Typically, I do one of these activities in the morning and one in the evening. My dog is free fed throughout the day, but I am familiar with dogs that prefer the routine of scheduled feeding or don't have self control, so I am comfortable following the routine that the dog is used to. I have a great walkable neighborhood, but I am very familiar with great places to walk and hike with dogs throughout the city. I am a grad student with lots of flexibility so my schedule is different from week to week, during the summer I will have lots of time each day to spend with your pup, but during the year I will provide excersize but less one-on-one time. I have a fenced in yard and a 1900 square foot home with hard surfaced floors. I don't allow my dogs on furniture, but if your dog is used to it, that is not currently a concern. My fences are sturdy and chain link, and about four feet tall. I prefer dogs that are crate trained overnight, and am happy to provide my own crates for them to sleep in. If they are not, I would happy to set up a play pen environment for them to be in!
“Zoe was great with Polly - and I know that Polly appreciated the walks and interaction while still getting new to her new home. Zoe was also flexible on meeting before the Dog Walking to get to know Polly. Thanks Zoe!!”

About: I have had dogs and cats my whole life. I love animals so much they are family, I have a golden retriever and a great Bernice mountain dog. I am good with big and small dogs. I also have owned cats and know how to take care of them! I know how to walk, bath, feed, and make animals feel safe and loved. I am a student at the university of Alabama. I have class from 9 to 1 but after that I am free. I can also go before class and on the weekends I am available! Animals are so important so I would make time to let them out walk and take care of with my class schedule. I can play with dogs in the yard or in the house. Go on long or short walks based on the weather. Keep them company so they don’t feel alone and make sure they feel loved and cared for at their home.
About: Hi pet parents! My name is Becca, and I have been pet-sitting for 8 years. Throughout that experience, many pet parents of varying ages have entrusted me with their furry children. I adore caring for animals, as I have a sweet orange cat of my own! I promise that I will give the same care and love to your pet that I give to my own little one. I currently work part time, and I am usually off at the critical times when I would need to drop in to feed your pet! I am always able to adjust my schedule to fit the times you will need me, especially in advance. The biggest thing for me when caring for my pets as well as your pet is to prioritize quality time with them. In addition to food of course. I make sure to spend as much time with my pets as I can, as they definitely notice when you're not interested in spending time with them. "Most importantly, I will try my best to make sure your pet is comfortable and not stressed. Trust between myself and my clients and their pets is essential!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of every kind since I was 10. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and love their pets. I’m patient, reliable, and always treat animals like family. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I make sure each dog’s schedule feels predictable, comforting, and fun. I’m available most afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and can easily adjust routines to fit your dog’s needs. Your pet’s safety is my priority. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs for companionship. I can crate if requested and follow feeding routines, medication schedules, and behavioral instructions. I’ll treat your dog like my own.
About: With 7+ years of pet care experience (excluding my own childhood pets) I have gone through a variety of experiences! I’ve worked with dogs, cats, hamsters, snakes, frogs, and geckos! I am a full time college student with many breaks throughout the day and lots of availability at night! Also perfect for lunchtime walks or weekend house sitting! I’ve done anything from just coming by to feed them meals to staying multiple nights in a clients home! I have reliable transportation and don’t mind taking them places(such as a vet or dog park) and love every moment I get with any animal!
About: If I were to be asked my superpower of choice, I’d tell you I already have one. Never in my 23 years of life have a met an animal I couldn’t work with, including the mean old cat my mother inherited. I take pride in my work of taking care of animals, and find it equally as rewarding seeing pet parents not have to worry about their babies in my care. From juggling my own zoo at home, to being introduced into the Pet Care business as a teenager working at an equestrian barn, I have honed my skills at prioritizing the wellbeing of animals and their happiness. With a bleeding heart and nerves of steel, I will love your pets as much as you do. I will clean their messed with understanding, play with them to enrich their brains, note any worrying conditions or details to you with urgency, and overall be the sitter you’d wish to hired again and again. My schedule is open and booked first come first served. My long term plans are to start school again in the spring to further my education and professionalism working with animals, but until then pet sitting is my first priority. Working with horses, I’ve developed a patient and calm disposition towards aggressive or scared behaviors. I try not to overwhelm any animal, and allow them to grow accustomed to my presence before I take part in whatever needs to be done. Meeting with said pets for the first time is a bit tricky, but I make it a habit for the first meeting to be with owners before services are rendered so both the client and myself are sure the animal(s) will be ok.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my extensive experience and genuine passion for animals. With years of caring for my neighbors' beloved pets, I've honed specialized skills in training puppies and providing gentle care for senior dogs. From daily walks around the neighborhood to attentive dog sitting for various furry friends, I prioritize safety, comfort, and tailored attention for each dog. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily and weekly routine, as I prioritize the well-being of furry companions. Whether it's early morning walks before work, midday check-ins during lunch breaks, or evening play sessions, I ensure that every pet receives the attention and care they deserve. During check-ins and dog walks at my clients' homes, I prioritize the comfort and well-being of their pets. I adhere closely to any specific instructions provided by the owner regarding feeding schedules, medication administration, and exercise routines. I ensure that each pet receives personalized attention, whether it's engaging in playtime, administering belly rubs, or simply providing companionship.
About: I have been trusted to take care of my family and friends’ pets since I have had my own car. Now that I’m old enough I want to start looking after other people’s pets more because they say do what you love. I can’t have any dogs in my own household so I want to take care of other people’s babies the best that I can. I’m in college so it’s hard to navigate between being in my college town in my home town, but I’m doing the best I can to take care of as many pets as my schedule allows. I follow specific instructions and say with the pets as long as my schedule allows. I love to send pictures of the pets for their owners because I know how much I would miss my baby. I make sure I have eyes on the pets before I leave so I don’t close them in a room and notify parents of any weird behavior.

“I had an excellent experience with Talhia. They took such great care of my pet while I was away, making sure all of their needs were met and giving them plenty of love and attention. I could tell my pet felt comfortable and happy, which gave me peace of mind. Talhia was reliable, responsible, and kept me updated the whole time. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!”

“She was great. House was clean, doggie updates were adorable and pups came home happy and bathed. Be really specific on pick up and drop off times well in advance and this is a perfect sitter”

“Anna is always wonderful with my Nahla. This is my second time having Nahla board with her. She’s very accommodating and sends updates daily. I love that Nahla enjoys their fenced backyard!! She goes in happily every time seeing Anna!”

“Easy communication and lots of photos of the fun our girls were having! Morgan & Mason are kind and loving, and we could tell they took the time to get to know our dogs and their personalities. Would absolutely board with them again and highly recommend!”

“Jamie took great care of our dogs and was super accommodating even though we booked at the last minute. She sent us pictures of them and updated us every couple of hours. I would definitely board them with her again!”

“Marilyn is a fantastic pet sitter—friendly, very accommodating with last-minute changes, and clearly cares a lot for the animals in her care. She took great care of our pup and we definitely recommend her services!”

“Leanna was perfect! I am most definitely a crazy dog mom and she made me feel super comfortable about leaving my pup. She also sent me pictures randomly to show me what a good time thor was having and send a video when I was missing him and asked how he was. She was super sweet and worked with me for pick up and drop off times. I will definitely use Leanna again for any future bookings!”

“Danielle was in every sense excellent. She was far more capable than myself of watching these guys and was so chilled out during their entire stay as if to say, “don’t worry, i’ve got it.” My guys, Robby and Zoe, would exceedingly recommend that you book her at once. Thank you.”

“Love Catherine!! She's the best. Our dog Copper enjoyed being there so much. This was the first time that we have used Rover and had an excellent experience. It made our trip so much easier to know that he was in a loving home instead of being boarded at the vet. Catherine sent daily pics to us so that we could see him while we were gone. The pics were such a great thing and made us smile every time. She makes treats for the dogs she keeps, takes them on walks, and has a great fenced backyard. I can't recommend Catherine highly enough. We will use her every time that we go on a trip and can't take our fur baby. ☺️”
