We had a beach trip that kinda came out of nowhere with a 10~ week old puppy that also jumped in our lives unexpectedly and we needed somewhere for him to stay while we were gone! I had never used Rover before but I knew our puppy, Bubba, was not old enough to stay at a boarding facility so I thought I would try it out. Bubba had a blast and I always looked forward to the videos Whitney would send me of him playing with her sweet dog, Pearl! I have furkids myself & my house is setup with furbabies & safety in mind. 🥰 I have furbaby beds in several rooms, gates between doorways so in case someone wants to be alone, I can accommodate, or if your baby needs time to warm up to a new place, thats another reason to have gates, for them to meet & greet at their own pace, not rushed. I just don't like the idea of having to stay in kennels, like at the vet! Thats what brought me to Rover as a client, now a sitter myself. I have a playroom for furbaby friends with plenty of toys, beds & a fenced in backyard for supervised potty & play! On pretty days we spend as much time outside as we can. About: I got my first family dog at the age of 12 and he was a 100 pound chocolate Labrador named Max. When I moved to Germany, I was not allowed to take him so he currently lives with my brother. After moving back to the US, I got my own toy poodle at the age of 16 named Eymber and was completely responsible for her. Once I moved to college, I got her a puppy named Koko and they absolutely love eachother. Eymber is now 5 years old and koko is 1. Occasionally, I stop by the Tuscaloosa animal shelter to volunteer and I love being the reason a pup was happy that day. I love my babies and all fur babies more than anything in the world!!💛 I graduated from the University of Alabama in December of 2024. I have a set schedule at my part-time job as a runner for a local firm, and college classes, but everything is the same week by week, so my schedule is very consistent. For this summer, I will be able to drop by anytime before 9 am and after 5 pm on Monday and Tuesday, or anytime before 9:00 am or after 11:30 pm Wednesday and Thursday! Friday-Sunday is completely free, and nights are always open unless I’m out of town! I will try my best to be there. About: I am super flexible and comfortable with dog care. I currently have an energetic young german shepherd so I understand the importance of dogs getting lots of exercise so that they can relax throughout the day. The main breeds I have experience with are Labs/Retrievers, German Shepherds, Beagles, Mixed Breed herding dogs, and Horses! I understand when dogs want to play and when they need their own space to relax. I currently have a german shepherd that I exercise twice a day either by walking, hiking, fetching or chasing hose water. Typically, I do one of these activities in the morning and one in the evening. My dog is free fed throughout the day, but I am familiar with dogs that prefer the routine of scheduled feeding or don't have self control, so I am comfortable following the routine that the dog is used to. I have a great walkable neighborhood, but I am very familiar with great places to walk and hike with dogs throughout the city. I am a grad student with lots of flexibility so my schedule is different from week to week, during the summer I will have lots of time each day to spend with your pup, but during the year I will provide excersize but less one-on-one time. I have a fenced in yard and a 1900 square foot home with hard surfaced floors. I don't allow my dogs on furniture, but if your dog is used to it, that is not currently a concern. My fences are sturdy and chain link, and about four feet tall. I prefer dogs that are crate trained overnight, and am happy to provide my own crates for them to sleep in. If they are not, I would happy to set up a play pen environment for them to be in!

About: My animal and pet sitting experience is very extensive from having at most 4 dogs in my house growing up and farm sitting, cat/dog/lizard/fish sitting since I was 13. I love all animals and their health, safety, and happiness is my number one priority.
