I have been caring for all sorts of animals for the majority of my life. I am owner to three wonderful doggos, four charismatic kitties, a grumpy hedgie (Nugget), and a little dinosaur (gecko) named Mochi. Since I developed such a love and joy for animal caregiving it seemed only right to pursue a career in the veterinary field. There I acted as a receptionist, client care coordinator, and veterinary assistant. I counseled clients regarding nutrition, behavioral problems, obesity, parasite problems, geriatric, flea problems, pre- and post-operative care, treatment instructions, etc. as well as assisting veterinarians and technicians with pets and diagnostics as necessary. After doing this for a few years I became familiar with veterinary medical terminology and procedures, how to perform wellness examinations, and how to recognize significant changes in health and mentation. This led to me being able to get a job at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. I worked as an unlicensed veterinary technician in immediate and intensive care in Auburn’s emergency and critical care department for most of my career before going back to general practice. After working in general practice for one year I realized my passion was in emergency medicine and I started working at an emergency clinic as an overnight ICU nurse. After my grandmother got diagnosed with cancer I decided to take a step back from full time veterinary medicine as I was facing compassion fatigue and burn out. That’s when I decided not to let my 10+ years of experience go to waste and I started my “business”, Lemon’s Aid. "Lemon's Aid" was founded in honor of my special needs puppy, Lemon. It is my hope and ambition at Lemon's Aid to provide exceptional healthcare and pet sitting experiences for your pets with skilled nursing treatments, specialty care, convenient home-based visits, as well as home to hospital transportation. Nursing house calls and in home sitting help alleviate the stress and anxiety that pets, and their families can experience during traditional vet clinic or boarding facility visits. This business helps bring in income as well as gives me the flexibility needed to care for my family. I am veterinary CPR certified and have experience performing CPR on canines and felines. I also have completed other programs in the veterinary field including my Fear Free Certification in small animals and exotics as well as The AAFP's Cat Friendly Practice program. I have quit my full time job in order to assist my grandmother who is recovering from surgery and cancer which leaves me with a very open schedule I am not currently equipped to house animals in my home as I have my own mini zoo (lol). While my fiancé stays home to care for my kiddos I can help take care of yours in the comfort of your own home from check in visits, walks, and/or overnight stays in your home.
About: I have many dogs at home that I have taken care of for many years. I also have dog sit in my neighborhood and community and love playing with dogs. I am great at taking them out when needed and I will follow any instructions given. My number one goal is to make my pets happy and comfortable. I can do any weekdays and some weekends except Sunday because of church. I might be planning to have one other job because I am trying to get some extra money for college but as of right now I can do almost anytime. About: Animal advocate since the age of 5. I have had snakes, turtles, birds, cats and dogs my entire life. I have delivered, raised and trained many litters of kittens since I was 10. My family owned Wet Pets where I spent every summer growing up. It was a little girl’s paradise. I have helped many turtles cross the road and our most recent fur baby jumped in my car at the Dollar General and I really think he was trying to rescue me because a wasp flew in the car. The workers in DG said people moved and just left him 😢 wasn’t sure how he and our German would get along but it’s like he has always been here! So we have a 100 pound German Shepherd (Fitz) and a brindle pit mix (Saber) so when my daughter walked in with a 2 pound kitten….sure why not. We absolutely love our fur babies and promise to treat yours no different! I am in education, so I can’t leave during the day but my pups walk me every morning. They are way to rotten to stay outside so they are definitely inside all day in their bedroom which has a full size bed, sectional, and they have their own TV. My son come home at lunch to check on them. I get home around 3 and we go outside. Then when my daughter gets home they get to play again. I really feel like i am describing how I would care for one of my kids because they are treated no differently. I would prefer to care for your babies in your home. My pups are VERY sweet and love to play at the dog park with other dogs but I would rather not chance bringing new friends in. But with that being said once we all get to know each other and maybe a few trips together to the dog park. I would have absolutely no problem bringing them over. If there is ever situation and you need to bring them here like I said mine have the whole end of the house and we have a fenced in backyard so keeping them separate would not be a problem!

About: I’ve taken care of all types of animals ranging from dogs, cats, chickens, and lizards! We’ve had animals in my own family for as long as i can remember we currently have a dog and chickens and maybe cows soon! I have a personal love for animals! If for some reason my dog Oliver doesn’t get along with your pet I live in a separated part of the house so it will be very easy for me to keep them out of contact. About: I've taken care of different breeds & size dogs for 6 years now. I love animals & want to help take care of them. I have taken care of puppies, senior dogs, & ages in between. I work full time at my job. Weekends are best for me, but I can stay somewhere during the week, as long as it's not too far from my work. I also can go during my lunch to let dogs out to potty &/or check on them, as long as it's not too far from my work. I have a semi fenced in back yard. I have one dog outside & he has come inside sometimes, but hes not completelyhouse trained & I have one cat inside. They are both around 3 years old.
