About: I have always had animals.. mainly dogs my entire life. I have a large front and backyard for your pup to be walked. I do have a 6 year old male dachshund. But don’t worry he doesn’t meet a stranger whether it be person or animal. He would LOVE the company! I work Monday through Friday in Dothan, AL. I leave home at 7:00 am and arrive back home at 6:00 pm. I’m off on weekends. I have a large back and front yard to walk your dog. I own my own home and live alone. I have plenty of room for your dog to run and play. I also don’t mind them in the furniture as my pup never leaves my side and snuggles on the couch with me daily. I’ve taken care of pets with special diets or special needs such as missing limbs or older dogs who have a harder time getting around. Klaus is on a high quality diet and gets plenty of excercise. Both of my pets go to the vet on a regular basis and have wellness checks every 90 days. I could go on about what I do for my pets but YOUR pets are my priority here ! I will adhere to your instructions regarding feeding, medication, excercise, and any other care routines. If anything is unclear I will be sure to seek clarification. For your home, I like to confine myself to the common areas of the house and the areas necessary for your pet’s care (kitchen, living room, guest bathroom, etc). Pet safety is my no.1 priority both indoors and outdoors !

I have been with dogs since I was a baby as well as taking care of them since I was 12, when I got my own first German Shepherd. Many friends, family members and neighbors have come to me to watch their babies while gone, to check in on them or take them on walks. I have dealt with most breeds and understand basic needs, medical concerns and safety of everyone. I'm a retired veteran from the US Army and a full time stay at home mom. My day to day is getting kids ready for school, drop off, pick up and homework time. In between all that, Im doing chores or watching some episodes of my favorite shows, so I will have plenty of time to be with your pet. My kids are 5 and 7, so most of the day they are at school. When they are home they help out with the animals and give them even more attention and love. John, my husband, works full time. With our schedule, if there is ever a time I need to step out, he is always here to help. I always prefer a meet and greet before we set up anything so the animal can acknowledge who I am or where they will be staying, even when doing drop ins. This makes the transition alot easier on both sides. We stick to one client at a time to keep the house easier to maintain and also for the safety of your pet and mine, as well as the family. We have a large fenced in yard to keep your pet safe but have plenty of room to run and play. We also have a crate for crate training or sleeping if you so prefer. We allow pets on the furniture unless you say otherwise. We will always follow by the owner's rules and ways of doing things in our home.

I’ve owned several dogs and have had plenty of experience and time caring and loving for pets! I’m currently working on my schedule so sitting or walking your pup is easy for me! I am available all week Monday through Friday as well as Sunday and even some Saturdays depending on my schedule. Caring for your pup is the most important part of my job. Making sure they are healthy and safe is #1. Being able to have your pup placed back in the crate after there walk and food or caring for them for a sitting period to make sure they stay busy and kept company comes with ease for me and is also important for your pup.

I have been caring for all sorts of animals for the majority of my life. Once I mastered the basics of venipuncture, medication administration, and vaccines I had enough experience to get a job at a local veterinary clinic. There I acted as a receptionist, client care coordinator, and veterinary assistant. I counseled clients regarding nutrition, behavioral problems, obesity, parasite problems, geriatric, flea problems, pre- and post-operative care, treatment instructions, etc. as well as assisting veterinarians and technicians with pets and diagnostics as necessary. After doing this for a few years I became familiar with veterinary medical terminology and procedures, how to perform wellness examinations, and how to recognize significant changes in health and mentation. This led to me being able to get a job at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. I worked as an unlicensed veterinary technician in immediate and intensive care in Auburn’s emergency and critical care department for most of my career before going back to general practice. After working in general practice for one year I realized my passion was in emergency medicine and I started working at an emergency clinic as an overnight ICU nurse. After my grandmother got diagnosed with cancer I decided to take a step back from full time veterinary medicine as I was facing compassion fatigue and burn out. That’s when I decided not to let my 10+ years of experience go to waste and I started my “business”, Lemon’s Aid. "Lemon's Aid" was founded in honor of my special needs puppy, Lemon. About: I've taken care of different breeds & size dogs for 6 years now. I love animals & want to help take care of them. I have taken care of puppies, senior dogs, & ages in between. I work full time at my job. Weekends are best for me, but I can stay somewhere during the week, as long as it's not too far from my work. I also can go during my lunch to let dogs out to potty &/or check on them, as long as it's not too far from my work. I have a semi fenced in back yard. I have one dog outside & he has come inside sometimes, but hes not completelyhouse trained & I have one cat inside. They are both around 3 years old.
