About: Ive had pets my whole life, from large to small. Ive taken care of puppies 6+ weeks old and elderly dogs as well. High energy or couch potatoes I’ve had them all! Currently a stay at home with two dogs, one frenchie and one husky mix. I can feed on a strict schedule, take walks, play, anything required has my 100% attention. About: I love taking care of cats. My friends and family fully entrust me in the care of their feline babies. I just love getting to know them and their individual personalities. I've had ones that are so loving and affectionate and I've also had the independent ones that are content to coexist with you, but everything must be on their terms. One time I was cat sitting for a friend while she was on vacation. I immediately noticed when he wasn’t feeling well and was very lethargic. We lived in a very remote area with the nearest vet was a 3 hour drive. I noticed swelling on the top of his head. I was pretty sure it was an abscess. I dug into my background as a medical assistant and was able to gently apply pressure and extract the thick fluid. As soon as I cleared out the infection area, he was back to his normal self. To this day my friend tells the story of how I performed “emergency surgery” on her little friend. While I absolutely realize the number one option is care from a veterinarian, in a pinch, you do what you have to do and he was getting worse and worse each time I checked in on him.

I have been dedicated to animal care from a young age, always showing a strong passion for helping animals in need. Over 15 years ago, I began working with rescue dogs while searching for the right dog to adopt. During this time, I adopted my first and third foster dogs, later welcoming a third rescue into my home. I continued fostering dogs until 2018, by which point I was caring for five of my own, along with chickens, goats, horses, ducks, and other animals. Additionally, I volunteered and worked at an animal sanctuary specializing in behavioral modification training, focusing on rehabilitating dogs with the most challenging backgrounds. I am currently employed full-time, working 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday. I base my life around the well being of my companion! I love my dog and his happiness means everything to me. I currently work M-Thurs 10-hour day shifts. I walk my dog on a leash, unless im in an area that is safe for him to be off leash (Chena or Tanan Lake areas.) I do take my dog to the dog park for some socialization as i believe it is very important to keep him social with other dogs and humans. My dog does sleep on my bed. As far as taking care of clients pets, I will respect their wishes with how they want their loved one taken care of.

After having to say good by to my senior companion of 4 years(a loving basset named April) I spent a few years unable to take in a companion of my own. Instead I began to help care for the companions in my area as their parents needed! ☺️ I now have two pets of my own- two tortishell cats named Fawkes and Cheddar. Theh tolerates dogs in the home but prefers to have our cabin to themselves. Due to this I limit dog care in my own home, but am able to house and dog sit elsewhere. Located on the East side, but could pop in anywhere in the Fairbanks area. I enjoy running and staying active, would love to take your pup for a run! Reasons I love animals: - Unconditional love! - No talking (perfect for an introvert such as myself!) - The happy look dogs get on their face as they're running! - The feeling of acceptance one gets when a cat makes an active choice to sit in their lap. About: We have both had pets our entire lives, until recently. Have experience in medication and senior care needs. We have had both cats and dogs in the home. Most of our animals were rescue critters, with various backgrounds. We have not only taken care of our own pets but watched friends critters when they traveled. Currently one of us is retired and will be able to be with your pet all day, except on occasion when we go out or errands. Both of us are home in the evenings and weekends and are also willing to take your pet with for rides or errands, if allowed. We enjoy daily walks. We do not have a fenced yard but a nice area for walking behind the house. Your pet will always be supervised. We can crate your dog, if needed or requested, but otherwise they will have the run of the house.

Both of us are home in the evenings and weekends and are also willing to take your pet with for rides or errands, if allowed. We enjoy daily walks. We do not have a fenced yard but a nice area for walking behind the house. Your pet will always be supervised. We can crate your dog, if needed or requested, but otherwise they will have the run of the house.

I’ve had my own dogs my whole life, but since I just moved here and had to leave them behind, i’m looking to get my dog fix in, while helping y’all out! :) I work full time, but my job is super flexible, so i’d be able to stop by and check in on your pups throughout the day, as needed. I do have base access as well. I will take every safety precaution necessary to keep your puppy safe and comfortable. My specialized experience includes caring for a Great Dane on a specialized diet and a blind black Labrador who loved to play fetch. I believe in consent for people, animals, children, and I let my dogs tell me what they’re up for. For instance, I’ve clipped their nails since they were babies and they come running when they see the nippers come out because that signals treats. But I’ll let them choose that interaction and if they need a break or want to call it a day after one paw, they get to jump out of my lap and walk it off at any time. Your pets will be treated with respect and never forced into a a situation they don’t opt into. I’d love to become their friend and second favorite person :)
About: Growing up, I took care of two medium husky mixed dogs. I would walk, feed, and care for them for the 5 years that they lived in our home. In high school and college, I periodically dog sat and cared for cats of family friends. I have always loved the company of animals and have experience with all sizes and ages. In my senior year, I cared for an elderly dog who was blind. It was so rewarding to help this dog in its final years of life. I now own 2 cats and I love every minute I get to spend with them. I try to get in a good brushing for all the animals during my stay if there's a brush available. I'll let your animals sleep in the bed if that's something that they're used to. I love snuggling with animals! My long time partner Tim has been helping me with sits since I started working days again. This makes it so your animals can have help if I am having a long work day. It also makes walks easier if you have more than 2 dogs that need walking at the same time! And provides ample play time in case I have to work on my computer. I have 4 dogs of my own that all have independent needs I attend to, one of which was a rescue from the shelter and required extensive training to help her be a functioning member of dog society. They are all well behaved and love to meet other dogs to play with. I do not have a fenced in yard, so if your dog is not great with recall I will take them out on a leash. I have a tie out in the yard so they can play in the yard as well. I prefer to crate dogs when we’re away from the house, but if you trust your dog out that is fine with me. My landlord is dog friendly, as a foster home for dogs themselves, but the property is not super dog friendly without a fenced yard. I'm happy to drive within 100 miles of Fairbanks to come and care for your loved ones.

About: Ive had pets my whole life, from large to small. Ive taken care of puppies 6+ weeks old and elderly dogs as well. High energy or couch potatoes I’ve had them all! Currently a stay at home with two dogs, one frenchie and one husky mix. I can feed on a strict schedule, take walks, play, anything required has my 100% attention. I have plenty of leashes at my home, do not have a fenced in yard of my own. Dogs can be separated at meal time and potty breaks are often.
