My husband and I had just moved from NC (our plane landed that day!) and our previous boarding plans for our dog fell through as we were traveling. Like everyone, our dog is family and we only want the very best for her. I was already an anxious mess from having to fly with our dog crated in the cargo hold. (We considered driving from NC to AK just for Sophie's benefit, but soon realized that was unrealistic.) After 10+ hours of travel, Giuliana was the perfect choice for us and Sophie. She was so flexible, patient, and understanding (especially considering we contacted her just a few hours earlier during our layover in Seattle). For the 2 days that Sophie stayed at her house she was in constant contact with me and sending plenty of pictures and videos. Knowing that Sophie was with a loving, attentive family -- going for hikes, getting tons of belly rubs and cuddles -- made our transition from NC to AK a whole lot easier than expected. We usually like to take Sophie with us on any adventures/trips/vacations but, if for any reason we aren't able to, we will most certainly rebook with Giuliana!”

About: I’ve had cats most of my life but have also had dogs, fish, birds, hamsters, mice, and guinea pigs! Spiders are the only pets I can’t handle. I’m currently unemployed and haven’t been able to find full time work due to the bus driver strike. So, Monday-Friday I take my high schooler to and from school and am free to take care of people’s fur babies all day and night! I love animals and treat them as my fur babies! About: Growing up I always wanted to be a veterinarian. I still do. I just love the critters! Dogs, cats, lizards, chickens, guinea pigs... They're all fun! I treat your animal like my own. They're allowed up on the couch, on the bed. They ride around in the car with me and go visit friends. Looking forward to our next adventure together! I work part time and make my own schedule. My goal would be to spend as much time with the animal, and leave it as seldom as possible while in my care. We have a fenced portion of yard, walks can be provided. And for sleep we can crate or let free. Lots of love and snuggles too, of course!

Dog walking: I do my best to stick to your pets routines. If your dog is on a more structured schedule/obedience, I will keep them on that schedule. I will keep pets crated if told to do so. Walks will always start with greeting/leashing, then we head out for fun! Upon arrival back to your home, pups will get a treat, fresh water, and some love before I leave. Pet photos will be sent to the client after our walk. For house boarding & Doggy Day Care: all pets including my own dog, will always be crated upon leaving the home for their own safety. I will only allow dogs to stay in my home upon meeting the dog first, and making sure they're dog friendly and okay with cats. I prefer to keep only one other dog in my home at a time but will make exceptions for the right dogs/fit. dogs are expected to be well behaved in my home and not have destructive or aggressive habits.
About: I know we all love our pets like they're our own children (which is exactly what they are) I have experience with a wide variety of animals from small rodents to dogs, and I love each and every single one of them. Currently I own three dogs and cats, so I know what it's like to have so many things to do and possibly not having time for that walk, or becoming stressed when thinking about travel plans and who is going to watch your pets. I have extensive experience with medical animals as I work at a local vet clinic as a vet and I am a human nurse! About: Ready to get those paws moving! As an Anchorage local, I know how important it is for our dogs to get fresh air and exercise, regardless of the weather. I specialize in high-energy walks to help burn off those "zoomies" so you can come home to a calm, happy pup. I’m punctual, active, and dedicated to making sure your dog has a safe and fun adventure every time I grab the leash. I currently do not work so I am available 24 x 7 at this time. Plenty of time to offer love & care to your fur babies. I am also available to stay or visit your place if you feel more secure that way. “I couldn't say enough wonderful things about Giuliana and her lovely family! My husband and I had just moved from NC (our plane landed that day!) and our previous boarding plans for our dog fell through as we were traveling. Like everyone, our dog is family and we only want the very best for her. I was already an anxious mess from having to fly with our dog crated in the cargo hold. (We considered driving from NC to AK just for Sophie's benefit, but soon realized that was unrealistic.) After 10+ hours of travel, Giuliana was the perfect choice for us and Sophie. She was so flexible, patient, and understanding (especially considering we contacted her just a few hours earlier during our layover in Seattle). For the 2 days that Sophie stayed at her house she was in constant contact with me and sending plenty of pictures and videos. Knowing that Sophie was with a loving, attentive family -- going for hikes, getting tons of belly rubs and cuddles -- made our transition from NC to AK a whole lot easier than expected.
