“Finn's stay with Julie was great. I got multiple daily updates which was awesome since Finn is a puppy and I was worried he might be really stressed. They clearly have a lot of experience with dogs and all their quirks :). They are pretty flexible and offer a pick-up and drop-off option which came in handy this trip. I will definitely use them again. Their HOA only allows 2 dogs, so your dog will be the only one staying there with them and their dog. They are a very nice couple with a great set-up for watching a dog.”

About: I am a currently working for the Forest Service in Alaska and I have had pets my whole life. I grew up with 3 dogs and have lived with and cared for many cats throughout my life. My work schedule is 7am-5:30 Monday through Thursday and when I work weekends at my second job I work typically 8-5pm my second job ends Sept 13th I do not currently have any pets due to communal housing so your pets would be getting my sole attention when I’m sitting for them!

About: Growing up on a farm instilled a love of animals in me from a young age. I am a true animal lover and prefer the company of animals to many humans ; ) I have experience with most pets from dogs and cats to birds, livestock and horses. I have rescued countless strays, trained many puppies and kittens and the running joke in the family is “if there’s a stray in a five mile radius they end up at Carly’s door”. I work from home so I’m never far whether your pet loves to sit nearby and remain close to me throughout the day or just needs a quiet and restful space, I have them covered. I provide dog beds and cat beds and do my utmost to make your furry friend feel settled in their home away from home. I will soon have a fenced in yard for my cat-friendly dog and four bedrooms for cats if they need a peaceful retreat. I provide fresh, filtered water daily along with meals and of course routine walks/potty breaks/litter box cleaning. If toys are allowed we have plenty to go around!
About: My husband and I lost our great Pyrenees last year :( We miss him. We would like to watch another dog because our shihtzu is getting older and does not like to hike anymore. She does enjoy her walks tho. We like all types of dogs as long as they are well behaved and get along with cats and other dogs. Our home is 2,800 sq ft and we have a 10,000 sq ft yard. We can only host 1 dog so your dog will be well taken care. We prefer only one at a time since we also have a cat but may make an exception if from the same family . I am currently working part time but work from home most of the time. My husband also works from home . We walk our dog 2 -3 times a day. We like to hike and during the summer and in winter we walk the trails that are right next to our home. I have a fenced yard , but can also crate your baby if you prefer. We have everything needed for a big or little dog.
About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember and have been caring for them since I was a little kid. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and they are truly family to me. One of my most meaningful experiences was caring for my late dog, Roo, who battled cancer for about a year before we lost her in September. During that time, I gained experience providing medication, extra comfort, patience, and specialized care. I have a 1 year old puppy named Tilly and a 14 year old dog named Leo who keep me active and remind me every day how important exercise, playtime, routine, and affection are. I treat every dog in my care as if they were my own! Whether your pup loves to play, go on walks, or curl up on the couch for cuddles, they’ll receive plenty of attention and care while staying with me. My goal is for every dog to feel safe, happy, loved, and right at home while you’re away. I work from 10am-4pm Monday to Thursday. Friday-Sunday I am off! Before and after work, I make sure dogs get plenty of attention, exercise, and potty breaks!! Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a secure fenced backyard for supervised play and plenty of space for dogs to relax indoors. My own dogs are friendly, playful, and very accustomed to being around other dogs. I carefully introduce pets with slow introduction so your dog won’t get overwhelmed. I follow each owner’s instructions, and maintain routines as closely as possible. I provide lots of attention, updates, and LOTS of photos throughout their stay!

About: We are two dog lovers who can't wait to meet your pup! Living in Girdwood, we have no shortage of fun activities to do with your dog. We usually take the pups on two long walks/hikes, and tons of smaller "outings" throughout the day. Our own dogs, Vito, Moose and Savvy, get along with everyone and love having playmates. The pups sleep on the bed, couch or floor - wherever they prefer. I have extensive experience with dog rescues, and have served on the Board of Directors for Southern California's largest and fastest-growing rescue, Labs and More, for two years. We have had 84 foster doggies and love having dog visitors. Our experience includes a multitude of special needs dogs, young puppies and seniors. We have nursed pups with Parvo and Distemper, so understand medical needs. We do have a small staircase (four stairs) to access the our home, so if you have a senior who is restricted to no stairs we may not be a good fit. If your dog has separation anxiety and requires a crate, please let us know in advance! We have a small crate, but generally only use it for small puppies. We have a cat so your dog needs to be good with cats. I work from home full time. I usually take dogs for a long walk in the morning and evening, with smaller jaunts throughout the day. I don't offer house sitting services since I have pets of my own. I have a small, unfenced yard so typically take the dogs for walks in lieu of just letting them in the yard.

About: i had 3 dogs in my life. 2 of the dogs i had. i had since i was born. then i adopted another dog in 2014. wanting to adopted more dogs in the future. i have dogsit before in the past 3 years before i knew about rover. i love and adore dogs. i cant imagine life without one. Dogs are everything to me. Having dogs around get me outside more and walking more. i have trained my 3 dogs. so i know a tiny bit about trainging them. The dog must have a leash for me to watch them My place is very pet friendly. The neighbors I live around is safe a lot of places to walk the dogs. There a lot of grasses for the doggies
“Erica was a amazing dog sitter for Igor. She accommodated me last minute(less than an hour-new client) and was very flexible with me. She met me out front of her home and than welcomed me in to see where Igor would be hanging out at during his stay. Igor was introduced to her pup who is deaf and super sweet dog. I was unsure what time I would be back in the area and she was nice enough to wait to hear from me if I needed her to drop Igor off at my home; which I did. She dropped him off at my home and gave me a full update. It made me feel so much better that Igor was able to spend the day with her and her deaf pup/kids. We will def be using her again while we are in the area.”
About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and genuinely love getting to know each one and their personality. I grew up with two big dogs, have had dogs of my own, and am very comfortable with dogs of all sizes and ages, including seniors who might need a little extra patience and care. I’m very active, but just as happy to have a lazy couch buddy, and I’ll always do my best to make your dog feel comfortable and at home while you’re away. “This was our first time leaving our 2 dogs with other people, let alone strangers. We went to do a meet and greet beforehand and didn’t know quite what to expect. Ryan and Chelsea were great with both of them from the start. Ryan answered all of our questions and was very open. While we were away he kept us updated with how they were doing and sent us photos and videos often. That made it so much easier to enjoy our trip and not have to worry how they were doing. When we went to pick them up, our dogs were excited to see us, but made sure to get last pets from Ryan. We know they are in good hands with Ryan and Chelsea.
