About: I’ve been around dogs all my life, including working at mushing kennels and fostering rescue dogs. I’m a confident, active and loving dogsitter I work part time through the winter months and have 2 playful friendly dogs of my own. Typically dogs go out in the morning before I leave, get a lunchtime trip outside and will have a longer activity like a walk, swim, or trip to the dog park in the evening. I work about 10 minutes away, so it is easy to run home to check on the dogs. Dogs are welcome anywhere in my home. During my absence, trust worthy dogs maybe able to sleep on the couch, otherwise they be kenneled or on a dog run in the yard depending on preference. Over 15 years ago, I began working with rescue dogs while searching for the right dog to adopt. During this time, I adopted my first and third foster dogs, later welcoming a third rescue into my home. I continued fostering dogs until 2018, by which point I was caring for five of my own, along with chickens, goats, horses, ducks, and other animals. Additionally, I volunteered and worked at an animal sanctuary specializing in behavioral modification training, focusing on rehabilitating dogs with the most challenging backgrounds. I am currently employed full-time, working 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday. I base my life around the well being of my companion! I love my dog and his happiness means everything to me. I currently work M-Thurs 10-hour day shifts. I walk my dog on a leash, unless im in an area that is safe for him to be off leash (Chena or Tanan Lake areas.) I've had ones that are so loving and affectionate and I've also had the independent ones that are content to coexist with you, but everything must be on their terms. One time I was cat sitting for a friend while she was on vacation. I immediately noticed when he wasn’t feeling well and was very lethargic. We lived in a very remote area with the nearest vet was a 3 hour drive. I noticed swelling on the top of his head. I was pretty sure it was an abscess. I dug into my background as a medical assistant and was able to gently apply pressure and extract the thick fluid. As soon as I cleared out the infection area, he was back to his normal self. To this day my friend tells the story of how I performed “emergency surgery” on her little friend. While I absolutely realize the number one option is care from a veterinarian, in a pinch, you do what you have to do and he was getting worse and worse each time I checked in on him.

About: I am very open and flexible schedule-wise, I don't mind getting up early if needed. I have experience with my own shitzu-poodle (Mocha), and my black cat (Gravy), as well as my neighbors various cats and dogs. I am a college student, so my only responsibility is to attend my classes. I have a lot of large gaps between/before classes where I can go let pets out for potty breaks, take them on a walk, give them food, etc,. I am very flexible. I have time to do multiple visits a day. I'm able to visit before classes, in between classes, and after. Any excuse to get out of my dorm is a good one 😅 I am more than willing to prepare food for pets, administer medications, or just spend some time with the pets if desired. About: I've had pets for as long as I can remember and I'm that person that will go out of my way to make sure an animal is happy and content. Family, friends and neighbors fully entrust me with the care and transport of their pets and can rest their minds because they know their pet is in good hands. I send texts, pics and any other updates of how their beloved furry family member is doing while they're away. One time I was watching my friend's senior cat while she was away. We lived in very rural Alaska at the time where the nearest vet was a 3 hour drive. He was fine for the first couple of days, then out of nowhere he became very lethargic. Low energy and wasn't eating. I noticed a rather large, soft lump on his head between his ears which I thought to be an abscess. I reached into my background as a medical assistant and decided to drain the fluid. Once I did, he jumped back to his old self... purrring, playing, eating. Yes, I know taking him to the vet is the best option, but sometimes you do what needs to be done. While I love both cats and dogs and am willing to care for both, the dog would have to be the right fit. Meaning, due to my injury, I'm not able to go on runs like I used to or long walks. I am currently recovering from an on the job injury, so my schedule is very flexible. I am available most any time aside from my physical therapy appointments once a week. Don't let my injury deter you. I am strong, mobile and more than capable of most activities minus running or long walks. I prefer taking care of pets in the comfort of their home. I am both dependable and reliable as a house/pet sitter or drop in.

About: I grew up around dogs. I like to keep them active by walking them or playing with them outside. I have taken care of small and large breeds. I have a flexible working schedule, some days at work need to be in person, some can be distance, so I can stay with customer's pets. At client's home I am following the provided pet dietary guidelines. I am frequently letting the pets out for potty breaks. If the yard is not fenced, I am paying extra attention for the presence of other pet or wild animals. I also like to keep the pets busy with activities so they do not get bored.

I am always concerned for my own pets health and happiness and do any and everything I can do to make sure they’re living their best life. I will mostly be free for nights and weekends. I don’t usually plan much, especially in the winter, so I have plenty of free time! My cats have plenty of toys and 2 towers to climb on. They are always fed and watered and are always good for a cuddle.

About: I’ve been around dogs all my life, including working at mushing kennels and fostering rescue dogs. I’m a confident, active and loving dogsitter I work part time through the winter months and have 2 playful friendly dogs of my own. Typically dogs go out in the morning before I leave, get a lunchtime trip outside and will have a longer activity like a walk, swim, or trip to the dog park in the evening. I work about 10 minutes away, so it is easy to run home to check on the dogs. Dogs are welcome anywhere in my home. During my absence, trust worthy dogs maybe able to sleep on the couch, otherwise they be kenneled or on a dog run in the yard depending on preference. Dogs will have supervised yard time and leash walks, as well as fenced off leash time if suitable. I can feed on any schedule specified.
