When moving from Florida to Alaska I needed someone to watch my kitties for 2 weeks and was nervous about finding someone to reliably provide quality care for two of my cats who have medical needs. I was so pleased with Alex's care for my babies and felt immensely fortunate to have her as a sitter during the move. She was able to administer my diabetic cat's insulin and liquid medication for my cat with allergies. She also when above and beyond to grab the insulin from the pharmacy when I was unable to during my drive to Anchorage. All of her updates about the cats were detailed and helpful to keep track of how they were doing. She gave them lots of love and even extra treats which I'm sure they were excited for. Alex even offered to give one of my cats a bath to help manage his allergies. I cannot recommend Alex enough! I am happy to have found a great sitter in Anchorage :)”

About: Had 2 siamese back in the day and boy were they loud at times but faithful friends and beautiful animals. Rescued a stray in 2010 and come to find out she had hidden 5 kittens, they all ended up staying except one which went to a friend. We named them after the 4 seasons (including Fall and Autumn to give us 5 names). The mom we called Polly. Big fluffy mama cat. There’s only one left now but they all lived good long lives. My ex has the remaining one now.

About: i had 3 dogs in my life. 2 of the dogs i had. i had since i was born. then i adopted another dog in 2014. wanting to adopted more dogs in the future. i have dogsit before in the past 3 years before i knew about rover. i love and adore dogs. i cant imagine life without one. Dogs are everything to me. Having dogs around get me outside more and walking more. i have trained my 3 dogs. so i know a tiny bit about trainging them. I do live in an apartment in the 3rd floor on the top. If the dog needs it I can carry him/her up and down the stairs no issue at all. Make sure to take your time to read and make sure your 100% sure to want to book with me before you click book. i currently dont have a job. i would make dog sitting a part time job for right now. i have alot of time to care for a dog. i give the pet alot of play time. i give the pet bathroom breaks as much as needed. i walk the pet like an hour or 2. ill feed the pet when he or she needes it. of course ill him or her water. ill give the pet as much exercise as he or she needs. The dog must have a leash for me to watch them i would have the pet come over to my apartment. im around a place where i can take the dog on a long or short walk. the apartment im at is very pet friendly. I say you would have to bring your pet to me at my apartment.

About: Hi! Both my husband and I have grown up in Alaska helping care for small chihuahuas all the way up to wolf-hybrids. We are a fun and loving couple with 2 small doodles of our own, 3 stories of house to play in, a small backyard/potty area, and located right next to a doggy park. We can’t wait to meet your furry friend! I work from home permanently, so I am able to provide care all day long for your fur baby. While I work, typically my two doodles spend their time snacking and watching TV! Once the work day is up, to the park we go! I have two miniature sized doodles to keep your dog company. Additionally, we have many toys available to play with, ample treats, and a small backyard area for potty with an additional park right next door. Both of my doodles are fixed and crate trained. :)
About: During my childhood I often spent time with my grandmother and her pack of boxers. Now I have a Boston Terrier named Jack. I can handle a pack of up to 8 on my own I do currently have a job so I can be a bit busy sometimes. I live with quite a few people, we all help out with caring for the dogs in our care. About: My husband and I lost our great Pyrenees a few months ago. :( We have an older shihtzu and would like to watch another dog because our dog is getting older and does not like to hike anymore. She does enjoy her walks tho. We like all types of dogs as long as they are well behaved and get along with cats and other dogs. Our home is 2,800 sq ft and we have a 10,000 sq ft yard. We can only host 2 dogs max at a time so your dog will be well taken care. We prefer only one at a time tho since we also have a cat . I am currently working part time but work from home most of the time. My husband also works from home . We walk our dog 2 -3 times a day. We like to hike and during the summer and in winter we walk the trails that are right next to our home. I have a fenced yard , but can also crate your baby if you prefer. We have everything needed for a big or little dog.

About: Current medical student with so much motivation to get outside with my dog in between studying. When I was a kid, I always wanted a dog….but we owned everything except a dog due to our lack of a yard. To solve this, I would knock on my neighbors doors to walk and play with their dogs everyday. About: Our dog passed away and I miss her very much. Recently relocated to Alaska and loving it! Have extra time on my hands to care for your furry bundle. I’ll take care of her/him/them like my own. About: I've been providing pet sitting for decades for all kinds of animals of many species. Both pets and non-pets. Booking me means I will research your pets breed and go over breed specific needs with you at the meet and greet, as well as their personality based needs. I currently have rabbits and used to have dogs, and my bestie's household has dogs and a tortoise. I have zero problems with taking care of plants or pet related chore. I have a portable carpet shampooer to clean up any messes that might happen. Just show me what the pets need for nourishment and enrichment and play, and I can take it from there. I'm also willing to do complex medical for pets. If you want me to sit for extra animals not listed, I will ask for more (5-20) per animal depending on level of care needed. I will walk any animal that wants to be walked. Species does not matter. You can meet me and my pets before hiring me and you can always cancel, no problem. I'm willing to do payment plans if you need to leave town with little notice. I'm willing to travel outside the Anchorage bowl, too, as far out as Talkeetna if you’re willing with work with me on gas. My office is also pet friendly to an extent so pets with their own enclosures are welcome to come with me to work. I can provide care during mornings, lunch breaks, after work, and weekends. My pets are free range most of the time so there's playmates. I'm happy to temporarily board animals in my home so long as they have their own enclosure OR if they are friendly with my pets. I'm happy to send pictures and video to keep you up to date on your pet. Walks (for species that like walks), play time, toys, music enrichment, games, etc. I'm very strong and I'm good with animals that have nervous behaviours. I've also cared for newborn puppies, rabbits, and kittens and can provide the round the clock care for new born pets that they need by keeping them with me at all times.
About: I have loved most animals for as long as I can remember. I am very compassionate towards animals and feel love and concern when I see a lost or unloved animal. I have pet and house sat for two families who came back to me multiple times. I am always willing to adjust my usual routine to make the owners and their furry family members comfortable. I sat for a friend once who requested that I keep their large, fluffy husky mix in my car whenever I left the house. My priority will always be keeping your furbabies happy, healthy, safe, and comfortable. Last, but certainly not least, I have two dogs of my own who I treat as if they were my own children. I am always thinking of how I would want other humans to treat them when I decide how to work with someone else's pets. During the summer, my pet care will be my highest priority. During the school year (mid August through late December and mid January through late May) I work as a teaching assistant and must prioritize that but I would endeavor to schedule all non-work related activities around the needs of the pet and their family. As I have two dogs of my own neither of which get along well with other dogs, I would not be able to care for another pet in my own home, but I am always willing to stay in another home if pets require constant supervision. I would always follow any instructions regarding pet care given me by the owners. If clear instructions are not given to me, I will ask questions and I will simply do my best to make the pet comfortable and not to change their routine more than absolutely necessary.

About: Would love to love on others pets as we unexpectedly lost our dog of 12 years and aren’t ready for another of our own yet I’m currently a stay home mom to a 3 year old daughter, we walk almost everyday and have more than enough time and love to give! We have a shared unfenced yard but walk around the neighborhood daily. We have an open space for playing around and lots of time to give!
