Due to this being Freddie’s first night away from home I was quite nervous and Millicent was so kind throughout the whole process, even offering for us to come the day prior for Fred (and myself) to meet her so we both would have a sense of where he would be staying. Throughout his stay I was provided multiple updates with pictures and I can safely say Freddie looked to have an amazing time, receiving plenty of cuddles! I was very nervous as Freddie is a big dog who doesn’t know his own size and strength, but Millicent was absolutely fantastic with him and I trust her completely. About: I grew up with a cocker spaniel and in my twenties owned two beagles so have no problem with hyper active dogs. Over the last few years I have looked after a bijon frise, a daschund, two labradoodles, a golden retriever, a cockapoo and a cavapoo. Some of these have been at their own home and some at my own home. I'm happy for either circumstance as it is wherever the pet or owner would like the pet to be. I work full time so Mondays and Fridays will be me working from home or the clients home but free all weekend. I can do other days upon negotiation. Sundays I will be busy for 2-3 hours in the morning but can still do the morning feed and walks. I do not have a garden but do have a large field 100 yards from the house. I will always keep the pet on the lead. I try to keep the routine laid out by the owner where possible i.e. nap times, feeding, walking, how they sleep at night etc

I am at home 24 hours a day I am at home all the time as early retired and have a friendly cockapoo at home with me. I can walk 3-4 times a day I have a fenced garden with grass. About: I’ve had dogs around me for most of my life. I had my Yorkshire Terrier from a puppy until she was 15, so I’ve experienced everything from puppyhood right through to the senior years. I’ve also spent years around friends’ dogs, looking after them and taking them out for walks, and very briefly volunteered at a local dog rescue where I walked rescue dogs and gave them some much needed time away from the kennels. I now have Leo, my larger Romanian rescue dog, who has been with me for over a year. He can be reactive towards some dogs when he’s on lead, so having him has taught me a huge amount about dog body language, managing distance, recognising when a dog is uncomfortable and working with them rather than forcing them into situations they aren’t ready for. I’m very patient with dogs and understanding of rescues, nervous dogs or dogs who just need a bit more space and time. I use kind, force free, reward based methods and I’m happy to follow whatever routines, training cues and instructions you already use with your dog. I’m self employed and mainly work from home, so I can be quite flexible with dog walks and drop in visits around my design work. My availability does vary from week to week, but I’ll keep my Rover calendar updated and only accept bookings I know I can reliably commit to. I may also be available for same day or last minute visits, so it’s always worth asking! Before looking after a dog for the first time, I’d prefer to arrange a meet and greet so I can get to know them and learn about their usual routine, walking equipment, training cues and anything they might find difficult. But I adored poppy like she was my own, I fed her, gave her medication and walked her every day, and played a lot too. About: AVAILABLE MON-THURS i have been in the presence of animals since i was 4 years old. i have qualifications in animal management and can handle/deal with a lot of animals with a lot of needs. i can additionally identify mental and physical illness, proscribe any medications and train animals fast and effectively (even cats 🤣) i volunteered at my local farm for 2 years for my college placement and now studying at the university of hull to become a zoologist at university. i currently have 4 cats at my home in west yorkshire. i lost my 16 year old kitty in march, so i don’t have a set schedule anymore. although, my pet care varies as me and my parents love to feed the strays that come often :) care of pets will either be in the park or at the owners home, (or my home for cat care)… we have stray cats that visit and i wouldn’t want to scare them away with a dog ❤️ hope you understand!

During warmer weather, I also take extra precautions to keep dogs safe. If temperatures exceed 22°C, I won't take dogs out for walks, as heat can be dangerous. Instead, I'll provide indoor enrichment, play, and plenty of attention, along with access to fresh water and regular comfort breaks in a safe, shaded area where appropriate. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my highest priorities. I provide a calm, loving, and secure home where pets can relax and feel part of the family while you're away. I live in a house with a large, fully fenced garden, giving dogs a safe outdoor space to play, explore, and enjoy regular toilet breaks. Inside, they'll have plenty of companionship, attention, and a comfortable environment to settle into. I also have a 5-month-old female Working Cocker Spaniel who is friendly, playful, and enjoys the company of other dogs. She has a gentle nature and is also comfortable around cats. About: I've been around dogs my whole life. I was raised around German shepherds for 19 years and I had about 15! I've currently got a little border terrier, who's 4 and I've had him from a pup. I understand the training needs for dogs of all ages. I'm home consistently, and can assure that they'd be treated the way I treat my own. I have looked after family dogs, friends dogs and others before when they've been away. I enjoy taking days out with the dogs, to the beach or forests. I like to give them good socialising experiences and I understand the importance of this. Their care and welfare is of upmost importance to me. I'm home consistently, and currently I am looking to build a permanent doggy day care business. This will be my weekly routine, and full time earning. I have a Border Terrier and he is allowed the rein of the house. There's a secure back garden, that has a 6ft fence that he regularly runs around and plays in. My house has three large reception rooms so plenty of space for a dog to run and play in. There's an amplitude of toys and treats! They'll also have plenty of room if they need a minute to themselves. There's a designated area for dog beds and blankets for them to have a nap in. I am also a 5 minute walk away from the playing fields, where I often walk my dog.
About: I have taken care of friends and families, neighbours pets for them whilst they are away, or at work. I have a dog of my own and had him since being a puppy and would love to help others out with looking after their pet whilst they are away or at work and unable to. I’m currently studying so I have a lot of free time as well for something I enjoy doing. I am free most days and can also do last minute requests. I have a fenced garden at my house and it’s a rather big open plan home so they would have plenty of space to play and roam around. About: I’ve grew up with animals since I was born with my first dog poppy. Since then I have owned another 2 dogs my current being Bertie who lives at my parents but is my whole world. I currently live in a farm with over 15 cats who are my family and bring so much joy to my world. I have also owned various other animals . I have pet sitter friends dogs when I was younger as well as taking care of puppies during the day when owners have been at work. Due to this being Freddie’s first night away from home I was quite nervous and Millicent was so kind throughout the whole process, even offering for us to come the day prior for Fred (and myself) to meet her so we both would have a sense of where he would be staying. Throughout his stay I was provided multiple updates with pictures and I can safely say Freddie looked to have an amazing time, receiving plenty of cuddles! I was very nervous as Freddie is a big dog who doesn’t know his own size and strength, but Millicent was absolutely fantastic with him and I trust her completely. My husband shares my love of animals, and together we have a home full of furry family members! We have two beautiful cats (both aged 5), our wonderful 14-year-old Jack Russell cross, Rocky, who still thinks he's a puppy, and our affectionate 11-month-old Labrador, Sonny. I am at home 24 hours a day I am at home all the time as early retired and have a friendly cockapoo at home with me. I can walk 3-4 times a day I have a fenced garden with grass.
