About: I’ve grown up around dogs and love animals (unless they are rodents!) Ive had experience from 5 week old pups all the way to caring for dogs in their senior years, giving medication, insulin injections etc. After losing our beloved 16 year old Patterdale last year, it’s left a big hole and as much as we don’t feel ready to bring another dog into our lives just yet, I’m certainly missing my dog fix. My dog came before everything - just ask my husband! 🤣 And I will treat yours no different. We are an early rising household so you can drop off as early as you like. We are an active house. I work from home so generally will be able to accommodate walks and feeding at their usual times so not to disrupt their routines. There will be times when I need to go out so a dog that is happy to be left for a couple of hours would fit in nicely but if this isn’t possible I can probably work around it with some notice. Daycare and overnight boarding is available and we are central Yeovil based and easy to find. We have a reasonable size garden with grass and patio, with a mix of sun and shade. The garden is fully secure. Within walking distance of the house there is a small field, a park and plenty of pavement walks. Ham Hill Country Park is only a short drive away so if you’d like them walked here your dog will need to be crate trained for the car journey. All walks will be done on a lead for all of our peace of mind! Inside the house it’s open plan living so your dog will have the run of the ground floor with the exception of my treatment room. The upstairs will remain out of bounds.

Hayley & Dom were lovely & reassuring at our meet & greet and Joni liked them both, going up to them for a stroke. She made herself at home and had a good look around obviously comfortable in their home. On our first day leaving Joni, Hayley kept me updated with how she was getting on which put my mind at ease. Joni howled a few times when she realised she was somewhere strange, but went to both Hayley and Dom for a cuddle & reassurance. When I picked Joni up she didn't notice me initially as she was to busy being involved with what Hayley & the children were doing! Dom reassured me that Joni got on well & settled despite her anxiety and they were very understanding. Joni was tired out after her busy day. About: I grew up with four dachshunds in the family home, standard and miniature. All had very different temperaments so I’m comfortable with pets that require special attention and care, understanding their unique personalities and needs. I have experience sitting dachshunds, spaniels, Staffordshire bull terriers, boxers, American bulldog, cavapoo, cockapoo, boarder terrier, Yorkshire terrier. I can take your 4 legged friend out for walks in the large field or woods near by on lead (unless agreed otherwise). About: I have a lifetime of experience in cat care and six years of dedicated rabbit care. Additionally, I have provided reliable dog walking and sitting services since I was 8 years old, Including teaching basic tricks and working on leash manners. I have some experience with exotics pets as I have worked with my local exotic pet refuge when I was younger. I am currently applying to university to study veterinary medicine. I do not have other work so am available most days unless something comes up. I treat all animals with respect and kindness showing them love and affection as if they were my own pet. Building trust and a positive relationship with your pets is really important to me. I’ll take things at their pace, particularly with pets who are nervous, anxious or simply need a little longer to decide whether I’m worthy of their approval! I will only use or enter the areas of your home that are necessary for their care and will always aim to leave your home exactly as I found it. About: I have owned cats and horses my whole life and have dog sit on Rover for around 2 years. I have received 5* reviews from all owners. I have done walking, day care and boarding for long durations and have loved providing a safe and happy environment for every dog who has stayed. Having owned cats and horses my whole life I have a good attention to detail and make sure to cater to every pets specific needs. I am a patient and kind handler and a true animal lover. My two horses are pictured in the last slide. I am currently in my final year of studying an equine degree at Hartpury University, specialising in horse behaviour and welfare. I come home to Cheddar most weekends, when I am free to look after your pets. My weekday availability varies so please message if you have any out of hours requests and I will do my best to accommodate. I’m fortunate enough to live on a quiet private lane with a secure and gated patio and a small grass garden. We are tucked away from main roads and don’t get any through traffic. When staying overnight in my house I have the option to section off parts of my house with a baby gate or leave open the whole of downstairs which is plenty enough space for a larger dog. My house is very quiet and peaceful and so if your dog prefers a quieter environment they will be more than happy. I also have heaps of cozy blankets but please feel free to bring as many of your own as you like.
About: I am a final year vet student. I have grown up with a range of animals and have worked with a rescue and rehabilitation centre since I was 15. I am first aid trained and have completed relevant behaviour and training courses. About: I started my Veterinary Nursing training when I was 18 years old and have not looked back since!
