About: I’ve grown up around dogs and love animals (unless they are rodents!) Ive had experience from 5 week old pups all the way to caring for dogs in their senior years, giving medication, insulin injections etc. After losing our beloved 16 year old Patterdale last year, it’s left a big hole and as much as we don’t feel ready to bring another dog into our lives just yet, I’m certainly missing my dog fix. My dog came before everything - just ask my husband! 🤣 And I will treat yours no different. We are an early rising household so you can drop off as early as you like. We are an active house. I work from home so generally will be able to accommodate walks and feeding at their usual times so not to disrupt their routines. There will be times when I need to go out so a dog that is happy to be left for a couple of hours would fit in nicely but if this isn’t possible I can probably work around it with some notice. Daycare and overnight boarding is available and we are central Yeovil based and easy to find. We have a reasonable size garden with grass and patio, with a mix of sun and shade. The garden is fully secure. Within walking distance of the house there is a small field, a park and plenty of pavement walks. Ham Hill Country Park is only a short drive away so if you’d like them walked here your dog will need to be crate trained for the car journey. All walks will be done on a lead for all of our peace of mind! Inside the house it’s open plan living so your dog will have the run of the ground floor with the exception of my treatment room. The upstairs will remain out of bounds.

The first person we saw on here was Barbara who instantly felt would be a good match for our little Bertie and had high hopes. When Barbara invited us to come and meet her any hesitancy instantly disappeared and definitely had no concerns about leaving him. You just know when someone is a doggy person or not and could just sense any dog left in Barbara’s care would certainly be well looked after. When collecting him yesterday, I felt he enjoyed himself that much that he didn’t want to leave. I am so happy that Bertie has had a great stay and been very well looked after and have no doubts at all that Barbara is the perfect person to look after our Bertie. Just looking at dates when he can stay again and the only downside to all these good reviews is she will get booked up even quicker!”

About: Padfoot is my Maine Coon kitty! I have been devoted to him as a loving cat mother for 3 years now which means I am currently in his primal teenage years. I’ve watched him grow from a misbehaving kitten into a stoic, majestic young cat. Cats aren’t as easy to train but he is recall trained and will vocalise his whereabouts whenever I look for him. Padfoot knows he is loved and cared for and in return I receive cuddles, delightful purring and sometimes the odd present from the great outdoors. Currently training him to be less vocal towards my groomer hah! Apart from my own cat, I have another smaller female cat in a different household. She is also neutered and trained to come home when called. My younger siblings adore her!

About: I’ve worked in animal rescue so I’m very used to a wide variety of dogs, breed and size. Also worked with a variety of needs also. I have my own dogs. One since a pup who was challenging and then became reactive. She is doing amazing now! And I have a foreign rescue who posed many opposite challenges so I’m able to adapt to the dogs needs. I have ten years experience in the nhs but I’m looking at going into a career with dogs now. It’s my main passion. I’ve been told I’m very calm and patient with dogs which draws many dogs to me. I have attended all sorts of workshops and classes with my own dogs including: puppy/adolescent classes, trick training, parkour, scentwork, mantrailing, barnhunt, Canicross, paddle boarding, agility and hoopers to name a few. I try and include things I think your dog may enjoy on our walks. I have completed many online courses from canine first aid, canine body language and behaviour and dog walking. I have also spent a lot of time observing behaviourists, trainers, walkers, vets, vet nurses, hydrotherapists and physios to gain as much knowledge and experience as I can. I’m currently doing odd bits of work with dogs including training/behaviour work with supervision and hydrotherapy/physio assistant work. So my diary is currently very flexible. I know lots of local walks and I’m very used to finding quieter walks if that’s what a dog needs. I also know good busier areas for bits of dog training depending on the dogs requirements. I also live on private land with some secure fields so that is an option also.

About: I grew up with four dachshunds in the family home, standard and miniature. All had very different temperaments so I’m comfortable with pets that require special attention and care, understanding their unique personalities and needs. I have experience sitting dachshunds, spaniels, Staffordshire bull terriers, boxers, American bulldog, cavapoo, cockapoo, boarder terrier, Yorkshire terrier. I do have a 7 year old boy named Benjamin who has a calm and confident nature around dogs. I also currently have a staffy pup named Flo who is just over a year old and she absolutely adores other dogs and is the biggest softy you’ll ever meet. About: I’ve grown up around dogs and love animals (unless they are rodents!) Ive had experience from 5 week old pups all the way to caring for dogs in their senior years, giving medication, insulin injections etc. After losing our beloved 16 year old Patterdale last year, it’s left a big hole and as much as we don’t feel ready to bring another dog into our lives just yet, I’m certainly missing my dog fix. My dog came before everything - just ask my husband! 🤣 And I will treat yours no different. We are an early rising household so you can drop off as early as you like. We are an active house. I work from home so generally will be able to accommodate walks and feeding at their usual times so not to disrupt their routines. There will be times when I need to go out so a dog that is happy to be left for a couple of hours would fit in nicely but if this isn’t possible I can probably work around it with some notice. Daycare and overnight boarding is available and we are central Yeovil based and easy to find. We have a reasonable size garden with grass and patio, with a mix of sun and shade. The garden is fully secure. Within walking distance of the house there is a small field, a park and plenty of pavement walks. Ham Hill Country Park is only a short drive away so if you’d like them walked here your dog will need to be crate trained for the car journey. All walks will be done on a lead for all of our peace of mind! Inside the house it’s open plan living so your dog will have the run of the ground floor with the exception of my treatment room. The upstairs will remain out of bounds.
