“We needed to find someone to look after our pups whilst we attended our daughter’s graduation at Lancaster University. We were so happy to find Michelle, we instantly felt that our dogs would be safe and happy in her care. Having travelled up from Kent we didn’t have time for a play date, so we met on neutral ground near Michelle’s house, so our dogs could say hello to Michelle’s pup Amber. Michelle kept us fully updated with photos and videos and our dogs were very happy to stay with her. Thank you Michelle, knowing that Clara & Ozzy were happy meant that we could really relax and enjoy our daughters graduation!”

About: I’ve taken care of our Welsh Terrier for 12 years (and counting) and more recently our daughter’s 8 month old cocker spaniel pup so I’ve got experience in both senior and puppy care of 2 uniquely feisty breeds. My deep passion, love, care and respect for dogs means that I am well placed to tailor my care and support to the specific needs of your best mate. Being recently retired, I have no ongoing commitments so my calendar is largely free. I have decided to embark on dog boarding and day care in our home initially although I will also consider dog walking or pop in calls within walking radius of our home. I have a large safe and secure fenced in rear garden with plenty of space for dogs to have as much fun and exercise they require throughout the day. I live in a rural location minutes from the coast so ample opportunity for country, woodland and coastal walks. My Welsh terrier is available to play and walk with our guests although there is also plenty of space should you prefer to keep your dog separate. At night, I have a dedicated warm and comfy utility room for exclusive use by your pet with direct access to a fenced in yard for toilet breaks. Alternatively, if your pet is crated overnight then there is ample space to accommodate this.
About: I’ve taken care of my family dogs and cats since I was 10. I used to have a Golden Labrador and now I have a Miniature Dachshund so am experienced with both large and small dogs. Friends, family and neighbours have relied on me to walk, feed and look after their pets! I am currently working from home so will be in and around the house for the majority of the working day in addition to the evening. I have a good size secure and fenced garden with a secure fence with including a security bolt. I leave my gate and front door bolted during the day.
“Meg had a wonderful time with Alex. We felt 100% happy and confident to leave our dog with her for a few days while on holiday in the Lake District. We were sent lots of photos and Meg was very happy to go back each day. On our last day Meg took us for a walk and took us to the park where Alex bought her a sausage for lunch - unfortunately the cafe was closed when we got there but it was lovely to see her keen to share the experience with us! We would definitely love to book Alex for dog sitting next time we visit the Lake District. 🥰”

About: Very experienced dog trainer and behaviourist, with large rescue organisation for over 10 years. Avid dog lover, and previous dog mum to a sassy Daxi called Tilly. Countryside living in Cumbria, with both walks on the doorstep, and the fells a short drive away for those more adventurous paws! Dog got a few 'quirks'? Rest assured, ive seen em all! Positive training methods and vibes all the way! :) I am currently on a career break, so the world is my oyster at the moment. I enjoy getting out and about most days, so having a pooch to join me would be great! I understand every dog is different, so am able to adapt to each individual in order to meet both their, and your needs. I have a mature garden, which is full of lots of smells and room for adventures. the majority of it is enclosed, with some small gaps beneath some decking- however, I am more than happy to keep your pooch on a long line, and supervised at all times. I have multiple rooms, if your dog requires separating at certain times etc. I have space for crates etc. I am happy to accommodate your dog on the furniture, or on the bed if this makes them feel more at ease. I have access to a woodland which is not open to the public, so if your dog requires quieter walks away from the public, or other dogs, this can be accommodated easily.
“Lego has been to stay with Nicola a few times and we have more booked in. She has the best time ever and we would highly recommend Nicola to everyone. She is so caring and her love and passion for dogs is quite clear as soon as you meet her. We couldn't leave Lego with anyone better. Nicola makes sure that it is a home from home for her. Thank you for looking after our little girl and we will see you next week.”

About: I've looked after dogs since I was a child. Our house has always had dogs. They are treated as part of the family. Currently, i have a chocolate lab called Bramble and a rescue collie called Billy.I regularly walk dogs for people around the beautiful South Lakes countryside. Your dog will get two long walks during their stay and lots of cuddles and play time. I work from home, so your pet will get lots of attention and cuddles. They will be treated as part of our Dog Squad family. Every pet is treated as if it is my own. We have a very large garden and access to the beach, fells and moorland of Furness. I can crate your pet if required but usually your pet will be treated like my own. They will have access to dog beds and toys. They are welcome on furniture and beds, because after all, they are guests of the family.
“Chloe and Josh were super friendly and worked happily around our very energetic pup. They were reassuring and keep us updated with lots of photos. Would definitely use again and Papillon came out with a new friend in Hugo”

About: My website highlights stories of the dogs I’ve taken care of at Windermere Dog Sitting and I can provide documentation for home boarding licence, DBS check and professional pet business insurance. I work part time as an online nutritionist so I have plenty of time to take care of dogs too. We usually go out for 2-3 nature walks a day. I have a secure garden and plenty of toys, fluffy bedding and a very clean and tidy home. Amber (my young cockapoo) is the only other being in my household.

About: I grew up being surrounded by doggos ! I would often help my nan with the retired greyhounds she would rescue (at one point I think there was around 8) we also had numerous furry family members growing up , whippets, Italian greyhounds & shitzus to name a few! We now have our Sprocker (springer x cocker spaniel) Charlie who is 6 years old and the centre of our world. He has separation anxiety so isnt keen on being left alone for any period of time - this is something we have learned to manage and have experience in. I am currently enrolled in a dog first aid course. I also have my own private pet sitter insurance with PetPlan Sanctuary to give you extra peace of mind. We are around weekends generally out walking with Charlie for at least 2 hours. Tues-Thurs I am available after 4pm and Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday I am available all day (work from home days are Monday and Friday). I only ever walk one dog at a time (solo walks only) I am able to look after your dogs within your own home to ensure their normal routine is not affected, I am happy to sleep wherever is best suited for your family & your dog and happy to follow any guidelines you set out to make your pets life more comfortable while you are gone. When allowing someone into your home to look after your family member it is so important to me we are all a good match and I fit your needs - for this reason a meet and greet is essential prior to any home boarding.

I adore spending time outdoors with my two whippets and have grown up with Lurchers and cats, and I’m excited to turn my passion into some work. I’ve always looked after multiple dogs at a time, and love to help out with my family’s pets. Always happy to meet new pets and share my love for animals! I'm available all summer before I start my bigger job in September, so I have plenty of time to look after and walk dogs.
