About: I've been around dogs for over 30 years and love them. A wonderful friend suggested dog sitting and i think it's a fab idea. I know dogs are not humans and need gentle and loving car . . . Actually a bit like humans! But without the explaining, i guess I work, but generally between 09:00 - 14:30 max. With 30 minutes travel time. The work day would start and end with a walk. Food afterwards. I feel it better to eat after exercise. I like to share, sofas, beds and little treats from my meals _ if ok I have a fully fenced rear garden, with lawn & hedge. Open lawned front garden. North facing, rear kitchen diner with patio doors _ so nice and cool and quiet (but with plenty of birds and an occasional cat to add interest). Doggie height front room window to say 'hello' as the neighbourhood passes by. Wooden floors and sofas downstairs and a my bed to sleep on upstairs _ unless suggested otherwise. Dog walking field a few minutes one way and duck pond ten minutes the other. Wonderful beaches at seaton canoe 20 mins away.

“We needed someone who could take 2 big dogs (and all the luggage that goes with them!!) Sarah and her family were absolutely marvellous and more than stepped up. Diesel fitted straight in; Nala we knew would take more convincing and try and push her luck, but Sarah soon cottoned on it didn't take long before Nala settled too. Have already booked them in for more holidays as now we have found the right family to take care of Diesel and Nala, we can enjoy our holidays worry free.”

About: I provide extra attention and care to pets. Because of how meticulous I am, I easily and quickly notice changes in their personalities or moods which is very necessary in picking up signs of health issues or any distress. I believe it is very important to treat animals with love and provide them with all the care possible. I have catered for different kinds of pets so I am very aware that different pets require personal attention and care specific to them because temperaments and behavioural patterns are different. That helped me understand better how to train pets based on their individual/personal circumstances. Every pet is a new joyful experience for me. It warms my heart to care for them which makes me feel like they do more for me. I love them.
“We are so lucky we found Pete, Emma and Sirius the dalmation to look after our dog Misty while we were in holiday, they are such a lovely family and they welcomed Misty into their home for a week making her part of their family. We got regular updates, messages, photos and videos which made a massive difference to our holiday actually seeing her having a fabulous holiday of her own. Everything from the first contact via Rover to the end of Misty's stay was smooth and stress free for us, Pete and Emma are such calm confident people, at our initial meeting at the park we felt very confident they were going to look after Misty as their own and that reassured us we had chosen correctly. I would not hesitate to ask the family to take care of Misty again and if I could give 10 stars in this review that still wouldn't be enough to show how highly we rate them.”

About: I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats and have over 20 years of experience caring for my own cats. Alongside this, I have around 10 years of hands-on experience looking after dogs for extended periods, often for weeks at a time. I’m very comfortable with animals of all personalities and needs, and I genuinely enjoy providing them with a safe, happy, and loving environment while they’re in my care. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as I’m not currently working, which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to give pets the attention they deserve. I’m home most of the day, so I can maintain consistent feeding schedules, provide regular playtime, and ensure pets feel comfortable and settled. I’m able to adapt my routine around each pet’s needs, whether that’s multiple walks for dogs, quiet companionship for cats, or sticking closely to specific care instructions. Because of my availability, I can offer a calm, attentive environment and won’t need to rush or leave pets alone for long periods. I provide attentive, reliable care whether pets are in my home or in their owner’s home. In my home, I create a calm, safe, and welcoming environment where pets can settle in comfortably, sticking closely to their usual routines for feeding, play, and rest. I make sure they get plenty of attention, stimulation, and affection so they feel relaxed and at home. When caring for pets in their owner’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions carefully to maintain the pet’s normal routine. I ensure feeding schedules, walks, litter or garden care, and any specific needs are met consistently. I also keep owners updated for peace of mind, so they know their pets are happy and well looked after while they’re away.

“Minnie had a wonderful time with Kay. We felt at ease instantly, as Kay was so thorough when asking about Minnie’s needs and showed her lots of love from the get go. She has an amazing garden which Minnie wasted no time in enjoying! Kay sent lots of updates with photos and videos to put our mind at ease too which was fab. We would recommend to anyone who would like a kind, loving home away from home for their pup, we will certainly be using Kay again.”

“Great communication, for which i was very grateful as i was a little worried about leaving him. I shouldn’t have worried though as Max was well looked after and i could tell he enjoyed his stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to get in touch again for future trips.”

“Amy and Alex are truly wonderful people who took such loving care of our 11-month-old Golden Retriever puppy for 10 days while welcoming him into their home. From the initial booking to the handover and pick-up, everything went smoothly. They were incredibly reliable, communicated promptly, and kept us updated every day with messages and lovely photos of Albert, which gave us great peace of mind. They were very attentive to Albert’s needs and made him feel completely at home. They took him on plenty of walks and made sure he received lots of care, attention, and affection. We also loved that Albert had the opportunity to spend time with Jasper, their dog, and enjoyed being around another dog during his stay. When we picked him up, Albert was happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. It was obvious that he had a wonderful time with them and hadn’t missed a thing. We couldn’t have been happier with the experience and would absolutely trust Amy and Alex to look after Albert again. “Evie was great. We felt comfortable trusting her to look after Shadow (our cat) as soon as we met her. Shadow also took to her straight away which is rare! We got updates and photos every day so didn't have to worry while we were away. This was the first time we had left Shadow with a sitter and we will definitely be trusting Evie again!”

About: Hello. I'm Dan, 34 years old and a lot of free time giving me the opportunity to help you and your pets. I am a licenced first aider with lots of experience fostering dogs and cats in the past with severe medical conditions and other special requirements. In those situations I'm well trained to remain calm under pressure and skilled at assisting your pet in times of need.

About: I've cared for cats for most of my life and currently share my home with my own much-loved cats. Friends, family and neighbours have trusted me for many years to feed, care for and spend time with their cats while they're away. I understand that every cat is different, from playful kittens to elderly cats who need a quieter approach. During each visit I provide fresh food and water, litter tray cleaning, playtime, cuddles (if wanted!), and a welfare check to ensure your cat is happy and healthy. I also provide photo and message updates after every visit, giving owners peace of mind while they're away. As someone who has worked in the NHS for over 20 years, I understand the importance of reliability, trust and compassionate care.
About: I’m experienced in handling large dogs (any size/breed welcome) and have a deep understanding of the needs and quirks of anxious and reactive dogs and the care and patience they require through my experience with my extremely nervous rescue German Shepherd who was in very bad mental and physical condition when I adopted him. Sadly, he passed at the end of 2024 after many happy years together. Personally, I found it extremely difficult to trust others to walk or care for him during our time together so I’d like to reassure those in a similar position that I can take care of their best friend when they need it and I’ll always be as careful, understanding and vigilant as I was with my own. My garden is secure with full, well-maintained fences and walls and a padlocked gate, I have blinds on all public facing windows which can be closed if dogs are triggered by people walking by. Everyone is welcome to supply any toys, beds or anything that makes your dog feel more comfortable and of course I will stick to their usual walking schedule and dietary requirements. I live directly next to a large park which is not typically very busy and offers numerous trails from the main paths to avoid others when caring for reactive dogs. I will never let anyone’s dog off the lead during a walk (unless I have booked a secure field) and always clip leads to a strong walking belt as extra security, walk in shaded areas on hot days and carry water at all times. I mainly work from home so when boarding and pet sitting your dog will be with me all day with regular opportunities to play, go in the garden and for walks in the morning, lunch time and evening. I’m available for walks morning, lunchtime and evenings during the week and all day Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. I only care for dogs from the same household on walks and in my home unless they are friends who have already spent time together. This is for the best possible wellbeing of each dog. I’d rather provide quality and complete confidence than take on as many dogs as possible as I believe in giving them the individual care and attention they deserve with as few stressful triggers as possible. I work from home so dogs will not be left unattended or outside for prolonged periods. I only endorse the use of positive reinforcement / reward-based training and treat all dogs with respect, understanding and care tailored to their specific needs. I’m happy to discuss your requirements, answer any questions and arrange a pre-stay meet and greet if required. I have also completed a certified DBS check through my employer. We do not have any children or pets of our own in our home.
About: I love all animals and have extensive experience looking after dogs, including having fostered a dog abroad with my partner and having cared for friends and neighbours dogs in the UK and overseas Flexible and adaptable to your pets needs, however full time attention will be given due to being in between jobs after working overseas for the past 4 months. I am a very respectful person who has stayed in many places across the world. I have great reviews and would treat your dog as if they were my own!
About: I have owned dogs all my life. I have a whippet cross currently and my parents have a patterdale that I look after regularly. I have an understanding with all kinds of dogs especially reactive! I mainly work evening/night shifts so have a lot of time through the day for walking/spending time with my dog. He’s very dog friendly so would love some new friends. I have a fully fenced back garden, and my dog is very dog friendly. However I do have the time for dogs that need to be alone also.

About: Hi I’m India! I’ve owned dogs my whole life from chihuahuas to alsatians and everything in between. At my family home we have an assortment of pets from horses to cats and dogs. Over the summer months I will be back home with lots of free time so I’d love to play care and love your pets when you’re at work or going away. We have lots of space including, enclosed fields, fenced gardens and dog runs as well as rooms inside to keep your pet separate from other dogs if that’s what you would prefer! Im a kind, patient person and I’m capable of handling dogs that may need a slightly stricter approach, my husky for example pulls on her lead very badly (I’m trying to train her out of this though!) Thank you for reading and please keep me in mind :) Your pets needs would dictate my routine. I’m happy to accommodate older pets who may not need lots of exercise or the opposite and take your pet out to play and walk all day. We have lots of space including, enclosed fields, fenced gardens and dog runs as well as rooms inside to keep your pet separate from other dogs if that’s what you would prefer!
“Jasper loved staying with Sian for day care and was so excited on the second day as soon as we got to the house. He made himself right at home from the minute he walked in and I was kept up to date during the day which was really appreciated. Will definitely be booking again.”

About: I have taken care of pets for the majority of my life. I couldn't imagine my home without them. I have had dogs for almost 10 years and they mean the absolute world to me. I am a very overprotective dog parent!! So you can be assured your dog(s) will be in safe hands and I will take care of them as if they are one of my own. I have a dog of my own called Willow. She is a Cockapoo and is the friendliest, most loving dog you will ever meet! She absolutely adores being around other dogs and will definitely enjoy a playmate. Currently I work from home the majority of the time so looking after your dog will fit perfectly in to my daily schedule. I am self employed also, so walks, playtime and feeding will work around what suits your dog best and will take priority when they are in my care. I have a secured and large back garden with lots of grass. There is no plants/shrubs/flowers which are unsafe for dogs. I also live over the road from two large fields and I am more than happy to take your dog on a walk around the park. I have a good sized car with a dog gate which is suitable for your pup to travel in. Your dog will recieve my full attention and lots of love and fusses!

About: I have loved and cared for dogs my entire life and have grown up in a dog loving home. My family has a French Bulldog who is now 12 years old, and I have been closely involved in his care throughout his life from a little pup all the way to a senior dog. I regularly look after him when my family are away, ensuring his daily routines are maintained and that he feels comfortable and well cared for. In addition to this, I frequently care for other family pets while they are on holiday, providing walking, feeding, and general day to day care. I am attentive, patient, and reliable, and I understand how important it is for owners to feel confident that their pets are safe, happy, and cared for as they would be at home. I am available for dog boarding, doggy daycare, dog walking and drop in visits any day of the week. I can organise longer stays/visits upon request. For those that choose dog boarding/dog sitting, I live with my partner who will also be in the house as he works at home full time. I provide a calm, safe, and attentive environment both in my home and in a pet owner’s home. In my home, dogs have plenty of room to relax and I also have a large, fully fenced garden where they can safely play and get fresh air. Outside of my home, I have access to lots of green spaces, which allows me to take dogs on regular walks in quiet surroundings. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I follow all instructions carefully to maintain their normal routines, including feeding, walking and any specific care needs.
“Amy was absolutely amazing with our 8-month-old Golden Retriever, Albert! I reached out only a few days before we needed daycare, and Amy replied immediately and was happy to help. Since I wasn’t sure how Albert would react to new people and other dogs, we even arranged a quick meet-and-greet beforehand, which made me feel really comfortable and reassured. Amy was reliable, flexible, and incredibly easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. She kept me updated during the day with messages and photos, which I really appreciated. Even though Albert is still a puppy and not fully trained yet, she was very patient and welcoming. Her dog Jasper is lovely as well, and the two dogs got along perfectly. It was also really nice to see how much care and attention Albert received during his stay — Amy even took him on a long walk, which he clearly enjoyed a lot. Amy is super friendly, open, and genuinely caring. I would trust her with Albert again anytime and will definitely book with her again.”

About: With a lifetime of experience caring for our own dogs, my wife and I will bring both passion and practical know-how to every dog we look after. We have both always had family dogs and before relocating to the area, we ran a dog-sitting side business, providing trusted and reliable care to dogs of all sizes and ages. We now both work from home together, which means your dog will never be alone. With flexible structure to our day to day we can accommodate your dogs routine and requirements. Your dog will have access to a large, secure garden and the entire ground floor to relax and play. We're committed to offering a safe, loving environment—and peace of mind for you—whenever your dog needs a home away from home.
“Kay and her husband were fantastic… Norman had all the loving today whilst I was at work, I received a picture and video of his day. As expected I got the cold shoulder from Norman on the way home, but I can tell he enjoyed the day with them. I will most definitely be back again and I’m sure Norman will look forward to it to! Thank you Kay ❤️”

“Scooby, my six month old Cavachon went to Eve’s for doggy day care on the 3rd May, 2023, for the first time. Booking through Rover is a breeze but Eve goes the extra mile adding a personal touch. Communication & promptness to reply, asking questions about Scooby’s likes & dislikes, walks/if he was aloud off the lead, everything & more was covered & catered for. I cannot fault or rate Eve highly enough, pure perfection, I have rebooked a further five days, this time with boarding. Please anyone considering booking with Eve, don’t hesitate , you will not be disappointed.”

About: I've had pets ever since I was a little kid, I've had dozens of connections with cats of my own and I love them, the same going for dogs too! Rachel has met our babies a few times and is really aware of taking it at their pace, ensuring that she creates a strong friendship with Luna who loves to play and Kylo who enjoys snuggles, they have really warmed to her.

About: Hello ☺️, I’m an experienced dog and cat sitter with 3+ years caring for dogs and cats, I’m also qualified in animal management and have recently completed my BSc (Hons) Zoology degree. I love all animals and I have lots of experience working with them. I have worked at a doggy daycare in the past and have provided services on rover since 2023. I also have experience with elderly dogs and dogs with special needs, my family dog had diabetes which required daily insulin injections. I also have plenty of experience administering eye drops too as he underwent cataract surgery. I have just finished university, so I have lots of time on my hands and my availability is fairly flexible. I offer services from 11am everyday. I offer at home visits where I visit your pet at your home during the day while you’re away and carry out all their daily care tasks which we will go over during a meet and greet before the booking starts.

About: I’ve started caring for animals since I was 10, starting with small rodents like hamsters and rabbits, even having fishies multiple times. Since 13 I’ve looked after my two Jack Russel Terrier mixes who are inseparable. They have PTSD and have come out of their shell amazingly and are now older dogs but still loving all the same. I also now have a Cockapoo who has major separation anxiety when away from my mom and I keep her so happy and entertained. I’ve cared for manny animals for others in the last 4 years, from a French bulldog with dietary requirements, special walking needs and anxiety to a bigger golden retriever who is caring all round. I’ve fostered a handful of kittens and cats before finding them a loving and caring forever home, I’ve looked after manny dogs and even smaller pets like reptiles and rodents. I am currently in University however it doesn’t take up every day of my week, this means most days of the week I will always be free. As for weekends, I can move things around to suit your best needs! When it comes to your home, I will be with the animal all hours of my time there, minus my own toilet breaks of course ahaha, and will be walking them as needed or letting them out into the back garden to go toilet. I will make it my too priority if your fur baby has any special requirements they are met on time and at the best quality I can give.
“Helena was lovely. She arrived early and ensured Finn had his full hour walk.

Currently I have fish and a crested gecko too. However, in the past I’ve also owned Syrian hamsters. In my spare time I enjoy going for long dog walks to either the beach or woodlands. Of course dogs will need bathing after these walks which is something else I enjoy doing.

We have a sheepdog and 2 poochons who are super friendly and love making friends. My wife will probably spoil your dog just as much as she spoils our own. My wife is now a qualified dog trainer making us a great pair to ensure your dog is safe and happy during their stay with us. My wife and I both work from home. We're really flexible and we take our dogs for a walk 2 or 3 times a day. We have a walled garden and we have plenty of experience walking dogs. We have a large open plan kitchen/diner with laminate flooring, so easy to clean any mess, and your dog is welcome to chill with us in our lounge on our sofa's. Our house is your dog's house.
About: I’ve been an animal lover since childhood and have experience caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes from extra large breeds to tiny companion dogs. I own two working breed Labradors who are incredibly fun, friendly, and well-socialised with other dogs. Living with high-energy working breeds has given me a strong understanding of the importance of structure, exercise, mental stimulation, and breed-specific enrichment. I love creating engaging walks and activities that keep dogs happy, fulfilled, and mentally enriched whether that’s scent work, retrieval games, exploring new environments, or simply giving them the attention and interaction they need. I understand that every dog is different and tailor care to suit their personality, energy levels, and routine. I also have a special interest in senior dogs and dogs with medical conditions. I cared extensively for my elderly diabetic dog who also had an immune condition, giving me hands-on experience administering medication, monitoring health needs, and providing calm, patient, compassionate care for dogs requiring extra support. I currently work part time and can offer walks during weekday daytimes up until 5pm. I can also work weekend daytimes until 6pm and can provide daycare on weekends from early morning until 6pm I am not currently offering boarding or daycare, however I am more than happy to provide enrichment, feeding and any other care such as medicine etc, at your home after walks or in place of a walk for special needs.

“Ana looked after our lively Labrador as if she were her own, thoughtful in planning and kept us up informed how she was to calm an anxious dog owner ! She had a great time and forgot who we are, she has a new family 🤣 already booked again thank you so much”

About: I have had dogs in the family since I was 11 years old. I have experience of caring for old dogs and have had our current dog since he was 12 weeks old. My own dog is very friendly and would welcome another dog into the home. I work full time however both remote and in the office. Our weekends are spent dog walking mostly in the local area particularly on the beach. We have a fenced and gated medium sized garden. We have one male dog who is 5 years old and is neutered. He is extremely friendly and would be a lovely companion to any dogs staying in our home. We live close to the beach and countryside. We don’t currently have any children in the home.

“Zoe was fabulous with Kobi who settled very well. We were provided with loads of photos & videos. It looks like Kobi had a great break, as much as we did. We will be booking with Zoe again. A BIG Thank You from all of us”

“Sian made me feel comfortable and at ease to leave Reggie with her she was very welcoming and nice Reggie absolutely loved it she kept me up to date with pics and messages and this helped a lot knowing he had settled absolutely perfect sitter !”

We highly recommend them to anyone looking for kind, reliable, and caring dog sitters.”

“Having been let down by another sitter we found Andrew what impressed me was the personal write up on his profile, due to the fact we have 2 rescue dogs we thought Andrew’s previous experience would be perfect and this turned out to be correct Dexter & Holly have just returned after a one night trial and all has gone well, before booking this we went through with the dogs to see if we could introduce them and see how it went Due to Andrew’s perfect calm nature the dogs settled to our amazement really well and Holly fell in love with Andrew The overnight stay has gone well even though the dogs seemed more anxious when dropping off Dexter who we thought may be an issue settled straight away but through patients and staying away Holly settled after 2 hours I would highly recommend Andrew but reluctant as I don’t want him to become too busy so we can’t get back booked in 😂 It has been a pleasure dealing with Andrew and his lovely partner Sian we feel blessed to have found such a lovely caring perfect dog sitter and now booking up for our dogs when we go on Holiday Regards Colin & Nicky”
