He was super responsive and very accommodating and mindful of Indy's requirements as a 12 year old greyhound. We did an intro with George's dog Daisy prior to Indy's stay, to make sure they got on and well, they had a blast - Daisy is a delightful and very happy pooch. George sent through regular updates and some lovely photos that were taken on a visit to a pumpkin patch. Indy was very much treated as part of the family and clearly had a wonderful time. “I had a last-minute trip abroad and found myself in a bit of a panic about what to do with my 3-month-old Cockapoo, Barry. I started looking into local kennels, but I quickly realized they weren’t the kind of place I wanted for my little guy—cold concrete floors and steel cages, with extra fees for a few minutes of play or attention. That wasn’t the environment I felt comfortable leaving Barry in, so I began searching for a better option. That’s when I found Rover and, more importantly, Charlotte! After messaging her about availability, we arranged to meet, and I couldn’t have been happier. Charlotte was so friendly and bubbly, instantly putting me at ease. She asked all the right questions about Barry—his training, his care needs—and told me about her own experience with dogs. I left feeling completely confident that Barry would be in safe, caring hands. During his stay, Barry not only bonded with Charlotte but also made friends with her Mum, and her dog Luna, who Charlotte had told me about and I agreed to them meeting (and hopefully getting along for play!). They had a blast together—forest walks, playtime, and even a seaside adventure where Barry got to dash around the sand and splash in the waves. Charlotte kept me updated with sweet texts and tons of adorable photos, showing Barry living his best life. Now that Barry has a new buddy in Luna, we’re even planning some future walks together, which I know will be fantastic for Barry and help him stay comfortable with Charlotte for future stays. A huge thank you to Charlotte (and Luna!) for taking such great care of my little buddy. I couldn’t be more grateful!”

About: I am new to rover but have lots of experience with dog sitting. Apart from caring for my very own Cavapoo, Teddy, I have regularly looked after my family and friends pets too. Dogs have always been a part of my life and always had one in my home so I have a lot of experience from owning my own pets. I used to have a shar-pei and a Staffordshire bull terrier. I work from home so it enables me to give your pet all the attention they need, some company with plenty of cuddles and lots of playtime! My dog would also love a friend for the day or the night too. I love all type of breeds, big and small. To make sure your furry pet is comfortable, I am happy to meet them before hand and will ensure you are kept regularly updated with photos too. Any questions feel free to message! I currently work from home and can offer regular toilet breaks with a big enough garden available and huge greenery / fields near by so your furry pet will get enough exercise too. I have a fenced garden which is safely secured. If you prefer to keep your pet crated, I do have one available. In addition, I have a 16 month Cavapoo of my own who will ensure to keep your pet company. My pet is allowed in every room of my house, no rooms are restricted so will ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable.

About: Hi, I'm Hannah - a freelance arts manager and pet sitter. I'm a huge animal lover, having owned and cared for over 30 pets, including dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, fish - and one slightly grumpy terrapin! My freelance work means I am very flexible and can be home for most of the day to keep your pet company. I've cared for animals of all sizes and dispositions from nervous kittens to excitable labradors and pets in my care get their walkies or play every day without fail, rain or shine, and all the care and attention they would be accustomed to with plenty of cuddles, brushing (if they like those things) and of course, approved treats. My family pets were often older rescues with difficult pasts and nervous when they first came to us, so I'm used to catering to those sorts of needs in an animal in terms of appropriate levels of exercise and handling, giving medication, providing lots of reassurance and affection and just letting them feel comfortable, safe and to get to you know you at their own pace. Puppies and kittens are no problem either though, and I'm happy to continue any training you may be doing with them. When visiting pets in their own homes my aim is to make them feel comfortable and secure, including having them sleep in with me if allowed, and will do either leashed walks or dog park visits - whatever they are used to. If I have another local dog walking appointment during my stay and your dog is good around other dogs, they will get to come along too and have bonus walkies! As I'm home the majority of the day, pee breaks can be regular and I'm happy to give medication, food and water etc. as needed, whether doing daily drop-ins or longer term housesitting. I have a very flexible schedule and fit in admin work from home around pet-sitting. Saturday late afternoons - evenings are my only inflexible time due to work commitments, but I am happy to take longer housesits incorporating a Saturday if the pet can be left for 6 hours or there is a temporary companion such as a family member or neighbour who can cover that time. When staying in an owner's home, I follow the pet's normal feeding and walking/playtime routine so that they feel safe and settled. I also maintain any house rules set by the owner (whether this is 'no pets on the furniture', or a requirement for the pet to sleep in my room). I minimise the need to be away from the house during the day (unless the pet is used to this and it's considered better for their routine to continue the pattern), and never leave a pet alone overnight.

About: My husband I have always loved dogs and had them in our lives since childhood. We are early retirees and able to offer outstanding care for your beloved pet/s. Our own beloved family member, Alfie, a Cocker Spaniel died in 2018 and we have since then lavished all our love on our granddog Duke, a Golden retriever, who lives in LA, whom we have helped raise since he was a puppy. We are early retirees and when not travelling, are able to offer 5 star care for your dog/s in our home, which is a good size, clean and very safe. Your home will be treated with the same respect and care as my own. I'm currently on a career break from Finance so I can happily make time to spend with any dog in my care. My days are flexible, which means walks, feeding and any care routines can fit around what your dog is used to rather than what suits me; whether that's a long walk or a day lounging on the sofa in their safe space. Over many sits I've encountered all sorts of dogs and learned to read what each one needs. From small rescues who are usually nervous around men and just need time and calmness, to mischievous Spaniels who will seek out their favourite muddy puddle given half the chance. I take each dog's individual needs seriously, whether that's sticking to a familiar routine, administering medication, or simply knowing when to give a dog space and when they just want company. In a pet owner's home I treat everything with care and respect, and I'm always happy to follow whatever routines and house rules the owner has in place.
About: Pet Care Experience: My partner and I have extensive experience in veterinary care. I have worked as an emergency vet nursing assistant and student veterinary nurse, while my partner is a qualified veterinarian. Therefore, any dogs that stay with us must be dog-friendly as Olive will be helping us insure you have a tired pooch. Schedule: I work part time as an evening vet nursing assistant at an emergency veterinary clinic on a one-week-on, one-week-off basis. During my week off, I provide doggy day care and boarding, which is already scheduled in my diary. My partner, who is a qualified veterinarian, works during the day at a veterinary clinic from Monday to Friday. We are open to caring for pets with medical needs, such as diabetes. Your furry friend will be treated with the same care and attention as our own pets. They will have free range of the house, including the bed, sofa, and garden. Our 4-bedroom home is just a 4-minute drive from the Cotswolds, providing plenty of opportunities for scenic walks. For less mobile dogs, there is a playing field a 9-minute walk (2-minute drive) from our house. We generally keep dogs on a leash for safety, however, we can accommodate off leash time in some enclosed dog-friendly fields nearby upon request.

I grew up with multiple dogs, including large and giant breeds, so I’m confident handling everything from energetic pups to calmer, more sensitive dogs. I’ve also regularly cared for dogs for friends and family—from small Maltipoos and Staffies to Spaniels and Retrievers—providing walks, daycare, and overnight stays. I'm typically available midweek onwards for daycare, walks, and boarding, with my calendar being regularly updated. Currently, I am limiting to 1 pet (from one family) at a time (if you have multiple pets from the same family I am open to caring for them at the same time), meaning your pet/s will have my undivided attention. I have a fully fenced farmland garden that can be fully seen from the living space. Open plan kitchen/living room so your fur baby (whether the purr or bark) will have more than enough room to roam around and play. I have access to a play pen too should you feel your pet would prefer this/ be more suitable. I have spare to be able to easily set up a crate if your pet needs this too. For walks while boarding, I'm very closely located to quiet public trails/ footpaths/ fields to allow for calm, regular walks - perfect for shy or slightly unpredictable doggies. For dog walking - I'm physically fit, attend the gym regularly, and have experience in walking my families giant dog (a Caucasian mountain dog - very large, very strong). Duration of walks required is open for discussion to best suit your dog :)
About: My Golden oldie loves a bit of canine company. She is happy to show company her favourite walks & sniffs as well as sharing her owners care & cuddles. We have experience with all sorts of wagging tails from poms to labs . We also have doggy cam to keep an eye on guests I’m now retired so can be around any time to look after your dog. I do like to go to gym/pool 3 mornings a week but am always back for lunchtime. I’m around all weekend apart from tennis Sunday morning. We walk every morning and evening with various routes across tracks & fields close by. My old Goldie is very easy going and will be excellent company for your pet. Our garden is fenced & secured with padlocked gates top & bottom so we can easily get out for “business “ safely. No dogs are allowed upstairs but otherwise have the downstairs space and plenty if room to be together or further apart if thats what they choose.
About: Ever since I was little, I've always loved pets. I've spent many hours and days looking after our friends dogs and cats - including house sitting, walks, daycare and check-ins. I would love a dog of my own in the future once more settled, but in the meantime, I would love the opportunity to care for others dogs and cats. If interested, I'm a semi-professional cyclist (and part-time marketer). I'm currently off training (cycling) for a month or two, and will be coming back into training very slowly, so have a lot more free time. I'm working part-time at home most days, with the odd Wednesday working from the office in London, allowing me to move around the local area looking after your pet(s) or having your pet(s) come to stay. Relatively relaxed and free, but there may be a few days or weekends I won't be able to do. I have a very large downstairs space which is neat, tidy with very little clutter, with a great playing field (and crop fields) behind the houses where lots of dog owners walk their dogs.

“I had a last-minute trip abroad and found myself in a bit of a panic about what to do with my 3-month-old Cockapoo, Barry. I started looking into local kennels, but I quickly realized they weren’t the kind of place I wanted for my little guy—cold concrete floors and steel cages, with extra fees for a few minutes of play or attention. That wasn’t the environment I felt comfortable leaving Barry in, so I began searching for a better option. That’s when I found Rover and, more importantly, Charlotte! After messaging her about availability, we arranged to meet, and I couldn’t have been happier. Charlotte was so friendly and bubbly, instantly putting me at ease. She asked all the right questions about Barry—his training, his care needs—and told me about her own experience with dogs. I left feeling completely confident that Barry would be in safe, caring hands. During his stay, Barry not only bonded with Charlotte but also made friends with her Mum, and her dog Luna, who Charlotte had told me about and I agreed to them meeting (and hopefully getting along for play!). They had a blast together—forest walks, playtime, and even a seaside adventure where Barry got to dash around the sand and splash in the waves. Charlotte kept me updated with sweet texts and tons of adorable photos, showing Barry living his best life. Now that Barry has a new buddy in Luna, we’re even planning some future walks together, which I know will be fantastic for Barry and help him stay comfortable with Charlotte for future stays. I live near a big park (Blackwater) so it's ideal for walks or I can walk around your area too.
