“This was our first time using Rover.com as we have been lucky enough to have friends and family members look after our 11 year old cockapoo Rosie in the past. I was a little nervous to leave her with someone new however, I got in touch with Leigh and after a brief chat we took Rosie to meet her at her home. Leigh and her family were welcoming and lovely and keen to know Rosie’s specific needs. She stayed with Leigh for 6 nights and we had daily updates and photos which reassured us and put our minds at rest. Rosie seemed perfectly happy and settled with Leigh and her family in their home. Communication was prompt and regular and when we picked Rosie up, Leigh seemed genuinely attached to Rosie and it seemed like that had both had a lovely time together. We would use Leigh again without a doubt and would recommend her highly to anyone who is need of a dog sitter.”

She kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. All three of my cats were happy, relaxed, and clearly very well looked after when I returned. Marsela took the time to understand each of their individual personalities and routines, and it really showed. My home was left spotless, and I felt confident throughout my holiday that my cats were in the best possible hands. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Marsela to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional cat sitter. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my furry family, Marsela!”

In addition to personal experience with household pets, my background in animal husbandry and welfare gives me a calm, patient approach to feline care. During drop-in visits, I handle fresh food, water, litter box cleaning, and gentle play or quiet companionship—depending on whether your cat loves attention or prefers their own space. “charlotte & molly are simply amazing - taking notes upon first visit and very attentive to all the little details, sending updates and spending quality time with the cats, keeping them happy and myself at ease knowing they will take care of everything ”

“Vikki was wonderful with both of my cats and having her visit them each day was a huge reassurance to me and my children whilst we were on holiday. Communication was fantastic and Vikki went the extra mile watering my plants and even trying to help fix my Catflap which malfunctioned due to a technical problem in the first few days of my holiday. She found a working solution for us until I get home. She kept me updated with photos and reports so I could see how the cats were doing and they were enjoying being fussed. All the cat food packets were cleared into the main bin and Vikki even popped my bin out on bin day. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Vikki again, or to recommend her to anyone who is looking for a reliable, friendly and caring Sitter.”

About: We have both been around dogs for as long as I can remember and have cared for all kinds of personalities — from bouncy, energetic walkers to calm, cuddly sofa companions. Friends, family and neighbours have trusted me to walk, feed and look after their dogs, and I genuinely love spending time with them. We have my own rescue pup who is around 7 years old and happy to have company. We are reliable, patient and always make sure dogs feel safe, happy and relaxed while their owners are away. Whether your dog needs long sniffy walks, playtime, routine and structure, or just plenty of fuss and reassurance, they’ll be treated like one of our own. We offer home boarding in a relaxed, family environment where dogs are truly part of the household. We work opposite shifts meaning dogs are never left for long periods and always have company, routine and attention. We are very lucky to have various outdoor areas around our house that dogs can explore freely. It is secure so even on hot days where a walk isn’t possible, we have a large secure sheltered paddock where we can walk and play with the dogs. I am a wellbeing dog handler for Hertfordshire fire and rescue so I have had the best training from dogs trust in various areas and have up to date skills and knowledge from all up to date research. Daily walks/play and cuddles are absolutely non-negotiable. Your dog’s safety, comfort and happiness are our top priorities. Our home has ample space, including additional separate areas if a dog needs extra room, quiet time or a slower introduction. We have a 9-year-old dog, Rolo, who is playful, friendly and happy to have company with the right introduction. All introductions are done calmly and carefully, and dogs are never left unattended together. If needed, dogs can be comfortably separated in their own space. We follow routines closely, are careful with feeding, walks, doors and supervision, and we always provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your dog is safe, settled and well cared for.

“Kelsey was great, Willow really liked her, she was great at helping her get over her nerves at the beginning of the walk. Really punctual, Willow seemed to have a lovely time, would definitely recommend :)”

“Sonia was lovely with my mini-schnauzer Lola and took her on some nice gentle walks. It was great getting the little updates after each walk. About: My hubby and I have many years pet experience between us. I ( Esther) grew up on a small holding with rabbits, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, pigs, goats, sheep, cows and horses. Andy has always had pet dogs. We have boarded dogs for Guide Dogs for 5 years and have now ventured into pet sitting and have 2 regular clients already. We are in our 50's ( just, for me!) and feel priviledged to be able to look after peoples loved ones in their own home whilst they are away. We look forward to hopefully be able to do the same for you too. We are both retired so are free and available the majority of the time Monday to Sunday including bank holidays, unless already doing another pet sit. We follow all instructions that you ask of us in terms of security and safety of your home/pets. We always keep dogs on the lead when walking them and don't take then out if the weather is too hot, unless we can do this in the cool of three day.

About: I previously had a wonderful senior dog, so I understand that not every dog wants (or can manage) long walks. As he got older, we adapted his routine to suit him, with shorter, gentler walks and plenty of time to sniff and explore at his own pace. He was also deaf in his later years, so I became very aware of how important it is to approach dogs calmly and thoughtfully to avoid startling them. That experience taught me to be patient. Whether your dog is young and full of energy or enjoying their senior years, I'll always take the time to get to know them and make sure they feel safe, comfortable and happy. I'll be available Friday to Sunday evenings, making me a great option for weekend walks, drop-in visits or evening care. I'll always make sure your pet gets the time, attention and care they deserve, and I'll keep you updated throughout. Your pet's safety and happiness will always come first. I have a fully fenced, secure garden where dogs can safely enjoy some outdoor time. I'll always follow your pet's usual routine, whether that's feeding times, medication, favourite walking routes or any little quirks that make them unique. I understand that every pet is different, so I'll take the time to get to know them and make sure they feel safe, comfortable and loved while they're in my care.
“Brad and Chloe are the best. We feel so confident that Nebula is having a great time with them and their pups. They are kind, thoughtful and great with communication. We can rest easy when she’s with them.”

“My boy hank was so happy with Tegan and her partner, he didn't want to leave. They are real dog lovers and kept me update with messages and photos the whole time. Would definitely recommend and already booking another stay. Thank you so much xx”

About: I'm a remote worker with a flexible schedule, which means I can commit properly to house sits. There's no rushing back and forth, and no leaving pets alone for long stretches. Since I work from wherever I am, your home and animals get consistent company and attention throughout the day. I grew up around animals of all kinds, including dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more, so caring for pets isn't new to me, it's second nature. On the dog side specifically, I've got hands on experience across the full size spectrum, from sausage dogs to Great Danes, so whether you've got a lap sized companion or a gentle giant, I know how to look after them properly, from exercise needs to feeding routines and everything in between. I have my own car, so I'm happy to travel to sits further afield, handle vet runs or emergencies if needed. I also offer cleaning as an additional service ahead of your arrival home. I'm happy to provide references on request. I'm an active person, so pet care fits naturally into my day. I like to start with a walk before my working day begins, then fit in another towards the end of the day, adjusting timing and length depending on each pet's exercise needs. Throughout the working day itself, since I'm remote, pets have company and I'm on hand for feeding, playtime, or anything else that comes up. Whether I'm in a pet owner's home or my own, my priority is keeping to the animal's normal routine as closely as possible. Changes in environment can be unsettling for pets, so I make a point of sticking to their usual feeding times, walk schedule, and any habits they're used to, rather than imposing my own. Before a sit, I like to go through everything with the owner: feeding amounts, any medication, behavioural quirks, vet details, and emergency contacts, so I'm fully prepared and know exactly what to do if something unexpected comes up. I treat the home with the same care and respect I'd want shown to my own, keeping it secure, tidy, and exactly as I found it. I'm happy to send regular updates and photos during a sit, so owners have peace of mind while they're away. And since I have my own car, I can get to a vet quickly if there's ever an emergency.
