“Alexandra is a fantastic cat sitter; diligent, friendly, looks after the cats so well and left the house neat and tidy. She keeps in regular contact and goes above and beyond to give me piece of mind when I’m away from home.”

“Matt came and looked after my 2 cats and tortoise while I was away over the weekend. He did a fab job of looking after them and I would highly recommend!! He took time to come and meet everyone and learn all of the animals routines which was reassuring to see. I got regular updates and photos which was a bonus.”

“I couldn’t recommend Stephen enough! Right from the get go he was so wonderful with my border collie August when we had our initial meet and greet. You can tell he has a genuine passion for dogs which translates to being a skilled handler. I always know August is in safe hands with Stephen, as well as having plenty of fun too!”

About: I am a 4th year veterinary medicine student who loves to be around animals and have taken care of them my whole life. I currently have two of my own dogs, a husky and a pug at home. As a vet student companion animal husbandry is a must have competency. I deal with animals on a daily basis and take great pride in working with them. From my own two year old husky to looking after my parents geriatric pug with many medical needs I have experience with all age groups and sizes.
About: Hi, My name is Vida and I am 29 years old and I am a student. I am on placement and therefore work Monday-Friday until around 4pm. My partner works from home so we are flexible with pick up and drop off times. My partner also helps me with dog boarding. I am comfortable with dogs of any age and size. I currently own a 4 year old goldendoodle, although he looks mostly retriever! My Goldendoodle is unneutered so it’s important that you take this into consideration when booking. He very friendly, calm and playful, he loves meeting and playing with other dogs. I take my dog out twice a day for medium-length walks, these can vary from street walking to nature park/forest walks. I always take the dogs I’m looking after out at the same time with my dog. I have bowls, towels, toys and all basic necessities that your dog would need when they’re boarding with me. I truly make sure that they have a great time and feel just at home! If you are interested in dog boarding, as long as the dogs get along, I am happy to look after your dog! I am based in Saltney, Chester. Please message me dates and I will check this against my rota. I am on a varied shift pattern. This means I get up to 4 days off in a row. I have a dog currently and take him out on hikes in the Welsh mountains as well as the Lake District. I love playing games with my dog and giving him big cuddles.

“Laura is fantastic! That's cats loved her. Laura would come in, feed them, clean the litter trays and play with them. She kept me up to date and contacted me if there were any issues. I recommend Laura!”

“Morag was absolutely wonderful looking after our indoor cat, she was really intentional about making sure she learnt about him beforehand and that we were a right fit for eachother, and sent plenty of updates and pics while we were away. Couldn’t recommend more!”

About: I have looked after dogs, cats, and small animals, as well as people's homes. Having previously had two beautiful and loving, high-energy, cats (a Bengal and a Bengal-Ragdoll cross), as well as looking after young energetic puppies, I am comfortable caring for the needs of individual animals. I work fully-remote, so if your pet is used to having company during the day, that's great. I can take flexible breaks and provide walks/playtime and general care throughout the day. I have a safe 4x4 with a fitted dog guard to keep pets secure, in their own space. My garden is securely fenced so animals can run around outside without worry.
“🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟➕️‼️ Charlotte went above and beyond and unfortunately ended up looking after an adored/dearly loved cat who became unwell. Sad that our first encounter may end up being our last. Can only highly recommend for her love and care of Billy in a short space of time. Huge thank you❣️💋”

About: I am a massive dog lover and I have been offering dog boarding for around 8 years now. I have a fairly large house with a safe back garden and I live close by to lots of places to go for lovely walks 🐶 I am self employed so I am pretty flexible with time slots and I have lots of time to go on walks every day. I also don't mind taking your dog out in the car if they don't mind. I only like to accept small to medium dogs as they are the types I have the most experience with. Your dog will be treated like my own and spoiled very much!
“Hannah took care of our cat Salem for a week, while we were holidays. She is very professional and approachable. She followed every instruction regarding to our cat care and was very respectful to our house. Our cat was very comfortable around her and had no issues. Definitely would like to work with her again for our future arrangements. Many thanks Hannah!”

I enjoy spending time with pets and I' very trusted to look after and care for them.
About: I adore dogs, cats and other animals and I am surrounded by them in my personal life which is why I have chosen to advertise my freelance services on Rover to help out other pet owners, whilst doing my degree! Being a dog owner myself I understand the difficulties when it comes to finding the best way to care for your dog while you’re on holiday/ working/ travelling. I pride myself on being diligent and routine as well as caring and compassionate, all animals are treated like my own! I always want owners to feel at ease and peace of mind which is why I am happy to take on any requests your pets need, their routine is so important! I am active and healthy and love walking, never say no to a game of ball or tug of war, and a big fan of KONG toys, snuffle mats and doggy puzzles. I am super comfortable with dogs of all breeds and sizes from Ridgebacks to Dachsunds. I have my own insurance and I am now Canine First Aid trained, happy to provide my certificate! I have regular clients outside of Rover also, so if people would like more references I am more than happy to provide. Please don’t hesitate to message with any enquiries! I am currently in my first year of University, therefore my availability changes during the week, dependent on the day and also dependent on the individual pet and how long they are comfortable being left. I have a UK Driving License so can expand my area for services and travel freely. I am happy to supervise when letting dogs out in other owners gardens. More than happy to crate owners dogs in their home. I am very diligent about what treats and titbits are allowed as my own dog can be sensitive and to such. Any requests dog owners have I will always adhere to, whether general house rules and routine for their dog or maintaining training with their dog.
About: Since loosing my beloved doggy Winston earlier in the year, I have made the decision to care and love other people’s fur babies rather than get another dog. I absolutely love dogs and care for them to a very high standard. I have been on websites such as Borrow my Doggy and due to my popularity on this site, I have begun the process of setting up an official dog boarding service. I could spend every day with a dog and be very happy! Winston had diabetes and went blind. I have experience in caring for dogs who require daily injections and diet management aswell as sensory support. I have cared for dogs who are deaf and dogs both young and old. I love to walk and will tailor walk lengths to the dogs capabilities. I live in a detached house with large rear garden that is secure. I can offer both week day and weekend support. I also like to go the extra mile for those I meet and the dogs I care for. I have cared for a dog with ongoing medical needs and understand how costs can be crippling. I would be happy to offer support at short notice or services such as an extended day support or pick up and drop offs. I have cared for a variety of different breeds and love them all! I can support owners with more than one dog 🐾🐶 I can offer overnight support across week days and weekends, day care support and walks. I will also support over bank holidays if I am available. I cannot offer day support on a Wednesday or night time support on a tuesday night. This can be adapted if your dog can have periods of time unsupervised (for example they are staying for a few days whilst owners are on holiday). I have a large secure rear garden where your dog can play and get some fresh air. My house is detached and we have no issue with barkers ! The downstairs is open plan which is positive for doggy supervision. I offer home from home services and will tailor my support to what you need. I live by a nice park where I will walk the dogs or if possible, take them slightly further afield to the race course or places such as loggerheads. I’ve catered for dogs who have slept on the bed as this is what they do at home 😂 I will adapt the support I provide to what your dog does at home.

About: We’re a family of four, with me and my three children aged 9, 12 and 14, plus our very friendly cocker spaniel, Oreo. We’re a busy, active family who love getting outdoors, going for walks and exploring, so dogs naturally fit into our lifestyle. Oreo is a much-loved part of the family and really enjoys having company, so we’re excited to welcome other friendly dogs into our home and give them lots of love, attention and a real family experience while they stay with us. Your dog won’t be treated like they’re in kennels — they’ll be welcomed as part of our family and included in our normal family life. There are plenty of cuddles, attention, walks and garden time, with someone around for most of the day. I know how difficult it can be leaving your dog with someone else, so I want to make the experience as relaxed and reassuring as possible. I’ve used Rover for dog care myself for years, so I know how important it is to find someone you can really trust with your dog. I understand the reassurance that comes from regular updates, photos and knowing your dog is happy, safe and being well cared for while you’re away. Oreo is very much part of our family, so we’re looking for friendly dogs who would enjoy a fun, relaxed family home and a canine companion. 🐶 I’d love to arrange a meet-and-greet first to make sure your dog and Oreo get along and that we’re the right fit for each other. ❤️ Our Schedule I welcome dogs at weekends and during school holidays. As a teacher, this means I’ll have plenty of time to give them lots of attention and make them part of our family plans. We love getting out and about for walks, exploring forests, visiting the beach and having little adventures, so your dog can come along and enjoy it all with us. Our Environment We live in a cosy, small family home with a secure, fenced garden where dogs can safely potter around, play and relax. It’s a relaxed, welcoming home environment rather than a kennel setting, and we’re happy for dogs to settle into our usual family routine — including plenty of sofa cuddles!

About: I have been surrounded by animals my whole life and caring for pets has always been a big part of who I am. Since childhood, I have had my own dog and gained hands-on experience with daily care, walks, routines, and understanding a pet’s individual needs. I have also cared for cats and have extensive knowledge about looking after domestic rats, including their behaviour, needs, and wellbeing. I also have professional experience as a dog walker and pet sitter with DogChill in Lviv, Ukraine, where I provided safe and loving walks, home boarding, and care for different dogs with different personalities and needs. I understand that every pet is unique, and I always focus on making animals feel comfortable, safe, and happy. I am patient, responsible, and attentive, whether it is an energetic puppy, an older dog needing gentle care, or a pet that simply needs some extra love and attention. I work part-time, which allows me to spend plenty of time with pets outside of my working hours. I am mainly available during the evenings and can provide attentive care, walks, playtime, and companionship. My schedule can vary from week to week, so I recommend arranging bookings in advance whenever possible. This allows me to plan my time and find the best solution to make sure your pet receives the care and attention they need. The safety and comfort of every pet is my top priority. I always make sure animals are supervised, cared for, and receive as much attention and time as they need. I carefully follow all instructions from pet owners regarding feeding, walking routines, medication (if needed), behaviour, and any specific care requirements. I believe that every pet has their own habits and needs, so I take the time to understand their routine and make them feel comfortable and secure. Please feel free to share any requests or special things your pet needs. I am always happy to help and provide the best possible care for your furry friend.
